Hows the turbo Tangles? Had her tuned yet?
-
It will be at the same rate in a couple of months as I'll be ~500m away from a node adsl2 enabled exchange. Fingers crossed my guesstimate of where the cable runs is correct and I'm not stuck being 4.3km's away again with only 5mb/s.
-
It is.. ppp152-12.lns2.adl2.internode.on.net ---- If it weren't my need for upstream speed and the inability to get cable I would go cable over adsl, it does cost a bit more but I would have to weigh that up at the time. Chances are I would stick with ADSL2.

As the old saying goes. Short and thick does the trick. I'm sure many of you blokes can relate.

Oct 2006 Whirlpool is currently down, none the less here's the cached link. http://72.14.253.104/search?q=cache:FpEfnT...lient=firefox-a Pauly, being an enthuiast and in the IT field, I struggle to understand how you supported/made excuses for the bigpong. I have a little hatred towards the bigpong as 1. Wholesale and bigpong should be 2 separate companies, which most likely will never happen. 2. They are anti-competitive and have been pulled up on it many times by the accc. 3. They have done stuff all to progress internet technologies within Australia, its the little company's that have cut profits to progress the Internet technologies (internodes annex-m is an example of this and all the others (iinet, adam, internode etc) that have invested in dslams to provide us users with faster internet) We need competition within this industry as it promotes growth. Its a win win for the customer. I'm disregarding cable as cable serves a very small percent of the population.

Unlimited is not something that has limits. Quite a simple prospect. I care little for 'bundling' is a little cheaper as its not the topic of discussion. EDIT: Surprise... Bigbog has changed wording.. Bigpond Liberty. It has been a while since I checked their website. Its not Unlimited.. its LIBERTY!!!

Its probably gone the way as both my 2 sisters cars have. 1st sister... bran new ford festiva, thrashes the crap out of it never changes oil or filter, occasionally tops up when the motor starts getting noisy. She's been through 1 motor and 1 gearbox. :S 2nd sister, bought a new new lancer, drives it brisk in and out of traffic like women do. A couple of weekends ago I noticed the motor was noisy, no oil on the dip stick. :S

unlimited and 10gb don't go to well in the same sentence. I'm quite surprised Telstra are still selling their products with the unlimited tag attached when almost all have abolished it.
-
If it were broken off it wouldn't run.

Its an rb20.. They all rev up slowly due to the lack of torque. Have you thrown a timing light on it while you rev it? A friends CAS was fine when setting the idle ign timing but when reving it would go massively retarded. It could be seen by throwing a timing light on to it as you rev it up.

Which is what I mean by I'm not so sure how accurate it is. :S BUT he doesn't commit him self so he too is not completely sure.

Master Cylinder Question R32/33
Cubes replied to Mack_1982's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Disco. All clutch and brake supply parts to some of the import workshops. The owner owns an R33 GTST and has done so for close to 6years so he's in to these cars and has done a lot of looking around for the aftermarket parts that are interchangable. He did mention one of the models has an aftermarket mastercyls from what I remember, however none for the R32's gtsts, the only option is new nissan or recondition. They also know what aftermarket master/slave cylinders to use for the clutch etc.. So if they can't find something in the aussy aftermarket there simply isn't one. You may find the r32 gtst master bolts up without issues. Got pics? I'll grab some of mine if you wish? -
The GTR springs definitely fit in to the R32 RB25DE non-vct head but definitely not R33 VCT head as has already been stated. A quick snip from performance springs when I was sorting out valve springs for my head. Not sure how accurate it is. :S

yes the sucky sucky noise definitely does it for me.

Gtr Axle/spline Diamater
Cubes replied to Cubes's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
On another web site I saw pics of underneath the boots. The GTR axles have more little lug/bearing bits so you can't simply bolt a set of gtst 27spline axles on to the end of the 6 bolt uni. If it were that easy I think JMS would have gone that route to have the better axles in the gtst as it would have been a simple hub and axle end swap rather than whole subframe, q45 diff center, swap diff ratio's etc. But really I don't know for sure until I pull the boot off and have a look. Either way I think I'll just flog it off. -

Here's a few pics. Any one want a set of GTR axles? I cannot be buggered sourcing a set of gtr half shafts so I can run a mechanical diff. -

Thanks... Well bugger. I'd also lay money on it being Q45 half shafts. -
You don't believe so? Compared to the air pressure on the nose of the car yes... the whole engine bay has a lower pressure.

Definitely strange as its not possible to use the GTR outputs with a VLSD as the GTR outputs are to suit a mech diff. I have seen a 1x6 R230 diff in a picture so possibly the vlsd (n/a) r230 outputs suit the r200 vlsd diff? I'm about to take a heap of pics. I'll throw them up. -
It is. The engine bay is the engine bay, its all one.

Hi ppls, I've recently bought a GTR diff and axles to shoe horn in to my GTST rwd cradle. It has what looks like the GTR 6 bolt (1 x 6) axles/half shafts but upon opening the diff up its a viscous unit, so obviously not a GTR diff, but rather something else. The axles are 31spline. Does any one have any measurements on the axle/spline that slides in to the hub?
-
Yes thats right.. The pic you have is NOT of a GTR resistor pack. Don't get ripped off. What you are about to buy is only worth $5-10 from the aussy local wreckers.

A car is designed so that there is a low pressure area behind the radiator (the engine bay). This allows the great majority of the air to pass through the radiator and cool the coolant. In the process this air heats up. This is the air that is sucked in by the pods. This is also why stock air box's have their snorkle fitted up tightly behind the front head light. If they were to just sit it there it would be of no use as the air from the radiator will contaminate it.

Got Splitfires, And 1.0mm Gap=missfire (update) 0.8mm
Cubes replied to WogsRus's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The missfire will occur through the mid range as peak torque occurs through the mid range. Peak torque = peak combustion pressures. High combustion pressures need a good spark. At high rpm the motors VE drops off resulting there's less in the cylinder, this makes it easier for the spark to jump the gap and ignite the mixture. -
+ Turbo motors are not affected by inlet restrictions as drastically as N/A's.
