  1. Yer I did some measurements some time ago now, the R34/VG30 housing from memory was ~5mm wider. I find it interesting how HKS tend to ran narrow skinny housings with a greater height where as the stock and garrett housings are flatter but wider.
  2. I believe I 'should' have an old R32 GTST 280mm disk laying around here some where. They have the same offset as the 33 items.
  3. They are legal. Just need to be secured.
  4. Unopened to myself means standard mechanicals that have not been touched. Bolt ons only. An LS1 or old GM 5ltr. Is that unopened when changing cams? No. I believe it must be an equal playing field, whats unopened for one motor can't be opened for another just because its easier to due to its design. But from a literal sense.. A motor is only opened when the head is cracked off/removed.
  5. Same power to weight as a mild R33 putting out 150rwkw or ~210fwkw.
  6. lol... Can't wait to see how your setup performs. I guess streetability is subjective.
  7. hehe thats who I was stirring.
  8. yer those stagea drivers.. heheh Ahh wasn't too bad.. Was fairly brisk at times then at other times it felt as if we were not moving.
  9. Well yer.. I usually just cruise it around changing up at around 2-2.5k. Still always in front of traffic at the lights but. It has been tuned, running a new genuine o2 sensor, and recently cleaned injectors. The old injectors had 350km's per tank, and it felt as if it went bad overnight. I replaced O2 sensor and it made no difference. So injectors in my case it was. Was a good excuse to drop larger ones in.
  10. KLR32, Ignitor money should be cleared. Money was deposited on Tuesday.
  11. I only ever run BP98 at the moment, never anything else. So really for myself it would be no different if I ran Optimax Extreme.. Fill up once a fortnight and be done with it. The PFC.. Yep there is a temporary ign. overall trim or you can 'simply' lol @ simply jump in to the ign map and change the values across your WOT load points quickly... Depending how well versed with the h/c you are it will only take a minute. Myself personally.. If I dropped a tank of bp98 in it I know its going to be in there for close to 500km's, so I'll spend the 1 minute pulling a few degree's out of load points 16,17 & 18. I got pretty damn good fuel economy on the cruise, done 187km's and ever so slightly over 1/4 of a tank. I remember seeing 140km's to a 1/4. Busky2k....!!!! Where were u?
  12. lol yer it is a pain in the arse.
  13. Oil in no way can make the car run like a pig. Its a coincidence. Mine no matter what oil I run hits slightly over 8kg cm2 on the stock gtst guage. Well I lie, the castrol 5w30 would sit just under the 8kgcm2 line. At full throttle it hits 6.5ish, I forget exactly but it is high.
  14. SubzeroR33, If I were to do it again I would buy something thats already had a heap spent on it.
  15. I'll have the few extra kw's as my coles docket will equal out the difference. Its easy enough to pull out a little ign. for a whole tank of fuel should I need to drop 98 or even ULP in it. ULP requires me to drop from memory when I tested 6-7degree's. Got the map laying around some where. Either way I'm going to have a fiddle. I'm a fiddler. Unless ping is really ringland breaking bad its not easy to hear UNLESS your up against cement guard rail. Thats how I used to do all my crude fiddlings prior to the PFC days.
  16. Madaz, Its the host.. http://three.fsphost.com I can't access them from where I am.
  17. Here Here Rex.. Get in it and enjoy the thing.. Rack up a million kays in the sucker. Auto's are the way to go for drags but stress me out a little with their lack of response on the street.
  18. As soon as the servo in findon has it I'll be doing a before/after run. Ign/afr (12:1) will be optimized before and after. I may even fiddle with seeing how it goes leaning it out a touch more. Fingers crossed the egt guage is in by then.
  19. Yer link simply times out Madaz.
  20. Heslo & Smoky, You won't notice any difference by simply dropping it in. The car needs to be tuned to suit. Well basically ign. timing advanced and 'possibly' even though its only 5% afr's richened up a tad. If your running on a stock ecu and simply drop the 100ron in it won't do anything.. Madaz, Mine won't run on 95ron, pings its arse off. When it had the stock motor and ecu in it it was 'ok' on 95ron but I wasn't able to dial in any static ign. timing via the cas. 15degree's was it. I dropped 98ron in to it advanced it a few degree's and picked up ~10rwkw. Which was a lot when it was dead stock... 115rwkw to 125rwkw. But yer 5% ethanol. Hardly anything. I have no issues running it. Out come my coles dockets. Busky2k, Apparently its 5c more over optimax in syndey and the like. I'm going to throw it on the dyno, quick tune and power run. Then a tank full of optimax extreme and another quick tune and power run. Shall be interesting to see what gains are to be had with my setup.
  21. Looks like Optimax Extreme may be available in Australia soon. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...=Forged+Pistons Not that any of you care as you already have it. lol.
  22. Hey ppls, I've been watching the shell/coles website for some time now waiting for the Shell Optimax Extreme 100ron to be available in SA. http://www.coles-express.com.au/locator.asp Findon Coles/Shell is seeing upgrades, fingers crossed we will have 100ron soon.

  24. Says engine size.. 4litre.
  25. 2 of my previous cars when purchased had gutted cats. Only reason I found out was dropped aftermarket exhausts on them. Makes me wonder if they break up and blow out them selves or these dodgy car yard pricks smash the guts out of a rattling cat. How would I prove such a thing..... I couldn't.
