Cheers for the great write up Nic_A31! I've worked out the cause of the water leak in the boot, where water builds up in the spare tyre area. The leak is coming from the rear light. Looks like there is a seal problem there, and water slowly makes its way in. The other water leak in the front driver's and passenger side has gone away. All I did was take the wipers off and that long black plastic garnish, then cleaned the whole area beneath it properly, and it seems to have done the trick. I'd still like to get my hands on those new seals though. Cheers

Thanks for that man Yeah the boot has me stumped... I'm determined to work it out this winter haha In terms of the interior front, it's not coolant, it's just plain water/moisture. That black plastic gutter thing you're talking about, is that the long black plastic part which you can see just beneath the windscreen and underneath the wipers? I think that's what you're talking about anyway... I'll try to pop that off and have a look around. Thanks again for your help

Hey Not sure if others have these problems, but here are mine: Firstly, for some reason I'm getting quite a bit of water trapped in the spare tyre area in the boot. It's easily drained because of the grommet, but where is it coming from anyway? I've had a good look and can't see any water marks/trails where it may be coming from... electric aerial, rear lights, boot lid...? I can't work it out. Also, more worryingly, I've discovered moisture buildup under the front floor mats (front foot areas), especially on the passenger side. Small amount on the driver's side. I'm not sure how everything is put together and connected behind the dash, windscreen and firewall. Could water get in these areas due to a leak somewhere around the windscreen or elsewhere, eg. bad seal? Thanks for any help, Cheers

I have a Nissan Cefiro. I have taken off the panels, had a good look at all those rod connections, and everything looks connected up properly... The central locking does actually work, but not by the push of the main button on the remotes. Central locking will only work by manually inserting the key into the drivers side door keyhole and turning to lock or unlock. If turned to lock, all four doors will lock, similarly for unlock. So the problem is: central locking just won't work from the main button on my two remotes. It's like central locking has somehow been turned off from the remote.

Hi there, I have the Cyclops P385T installed in my car. Recently the central locking has started to play up. It's not working properly anymore, and I'm trying to work out what is wrong. Firstly, the car battery is fully charged, and the batteries in the remotes are new. The main button on the remotes does not automatically lock and unlock the doors when pressed. Central locking will only work if I manually use the key on the drivers side door to either lock or unlock. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue? I should add, the car was disconnected from the car battery for about 6 months. Not sure if this may have something to do with it? Thank you for your help.

1989 Nissan S13 Silvia K's CA18DET 1.8 litre turbo Automatic Sunroof Alarm and immobiliser Tinted windows Regularly serviced every 5000km. Spark plugs, oil, oil filter, fuel filter, general check, and safety check. Major service done at 100,000km. Head gasket replaced, new water pump and hoses, new braided turbo water and oil lines, new timing belt, and other typical major service maintenance. Everything is stock apart from a K&N pod filter and Walbro fuel pump. Very clean and tidy stock brown interior. Minimal wear and tear. Overall in great condition. All electrics inside and out work properly, including instrument cluster, lights, sunroof, mirrors, windows, central locking, and aerial. There are some issues with the body and paint: Small spots of rust around sunroof and door sills. Clear coat is peeling off on the rear of the car. Stock spoiler has been removed from boot lid, holes have been covered by rubber grommets. A few small dents, chips and scratches around the car. Typical wear and tear over time, but nothing major. Stock suspension and wheels. Nice comfortable drive. Stock exhaust from turbo back. Not blowing any smoke, oil or anything of the sort. No coolant or oil leaks. Overall everything is in good working order, and the car is very tidy, clean and presentable. I've put a lot of care into this car, it's been my daily and has served me very well. I have another car now for work purposes, so this one is barely used. I would really like to keep it, but I don't have the space to store it.
