I dont know how many of you have actually weighed your r33 but mine weighed in at 3440 pounds (1570kg) with out me in it. I did have a gtr kit and 18s fitted.

when is your car coming back on the rd buster?

A rule of thumb i have come across is, an r33/4 gtst with approx 300rwkw (give or take more or less) using standard 5 speed and diff should do approx 120mph down the 1/4 mile. A few people on here can back this up. I think the mph can be indicator though diff/ gearbox ratios, tyre size can alter mph. So can weight. Its just too variable. Then ago so are dynos. My 2c

a friend did this not long ago. Total cost was $850. Buying gtr33 box, modifying to fit vl to suit rwd application. $850 is better for me then the 1400 people ask for gtst boxs

Was at dyson rotary today, craig built an rb25 using a gt3540, on 18psi made 480rwhp on pump. Built engine with hks cams and cam gears, plenum etc etc. Should be out at the track once finishes off some things on it. From what craig told me it has a .6* (*not sure either a 4 or 7 or what) rear housing.

I had a gt30 on my rb25. It had the .82 rear housing. Made a best of 310rwkw on pump. Nothing below 3500rpm. Full boost at 4500rpm. Would die by 6500rpm. When it came on boost fried the tyres. I personally didnt like the characteristics of the turbo and the amount of boost needed to make that power. The smallest i would personally go is the .87 rear. I had 1.05 rear on my t88. Full boost @ 5000rpm held all the way to 8000rpm. Started making boost at 3800rpm and dip in power up top either. Didnt come on savage too. Id say the .82 is better suited for like an rb20/ sr20/ or 280rwkw rb25. That just my experience. Gt3540r are making big power on 30det as said. Just gota choose the right one for your set up

What times have people done in lightly modded 33 gtr's? Are V-specs any quicker? What are the differences and how do you tell to a normal r33??

Steve, thats some good times there. What boost was it running and what do you mean by stock engine pipes? Im thinking of buying an r32gtr, just contemplating on how hard it will be to get to 125mph and how much $$$ will need to be spent
