  2. gigolo: rough idle at times, wouldnt idle below 900rpm slight hesitation below 1500rpm when you gave it a bootful
  3. I hi flowed my standard injectors to 660cc. No real difference in fuel consumption. Power from 380rwhp to 420rwhp with ease. Never had trouble with them. Now there making over 450rwhp. ONly difference noticed was at idle.
  4. Thanks for the reply guys. The car would be set up for more circuit racing. How ever it will see the occasional Drag/ drift day. Im not too wise on GTR engines and not sure of how much power they can take before you need to upgrade the internals. Emre: That is what i heard. Same size/ type/ style piston and rods though different materials. Also i believe r34 has larger valves and different cam to the r32/3 engine.
  5. Any differences from factory in the Rb26dett pistons/ rods/ crank or block?? Or have they been the same since the r32?? Can you use pistons and rods from a r34gtr engine in a r32gtr engine?? Is 350rwkw achievable on a stock rb26dett bottom end with good compression and no fatal signs of blowing up soon?? If im correct this set up should do a mid to low 11 at the high 120mph mark.
  6. I have met Alex Blackson, i believe one of the engineers who helped design/ create/ make the latest wolf computer. From the way he was talking and explaining the thing to me it seemed to be good value for money compared to other afm ecu's eg. Microtech. How ever the case, Magic1 did you end up going to the track last night?? If so how did the car perform? Thanks H.
  7. has magic1 gone down the 1/4 yet since it recorded the (true or false) figure of 511rwhp. I believe it went a mid to low 12 @ 120mph with 400rwhp (unsure of whose dyno) ???
  8. Was using a 42mm Turbonetics Deltagate with Blitz dual sbc boost controller.
  9. The thing that confuses me is how you get so much power out of such a turbo. I had the same turbo as magic1 (Gt30 .82 rear), Stock head, stock injectors (hi flowed to make 420rwhp) and this was my power curve. The 1st pic is the re-tune with new engine. 2nd pic is of the old engine with the tune. As you can see we had to run such hi boost to achieve that power level. I dont know why but i believe it may to with the turbo and stock cams. Then i see the figures steve sst makes with stock head or less boost. My dyno was not in shoot out mode not sure if it will make a big difference how ever. Could some one explain why or how steve sst can make so much power from these turbos?? I dont think it could be the difference in the computer (i used microtech). My whinge.
  10. whatsisname, correct. How ever when i ran my car down the 1/4 it was only making 345rwhp (not a dd dyno and not in shoot out mode). The thing that confuses me is how steve manages to get such power from a gt30 at low boost. When i had my gt30 i had to boost it to 27psi to get to 430rwhp (non shoot out mode). On 23-4psi it made 387rwhp using stock injectors (non shoot out mode). I never had a chance to run it when it was at full potential. I think either steve has figured how to tune 25's with a gt30, or something fishy is going on, or my tuner had no idea! Magic1's car should run easyly over 120mph if he is making over 400rwhp. Good luck to him and hope he does well to shut some of us up. H.
  11. I think the white r32 here in bris holds the title for rb20 in aus with the 12.1 its ran on a stock bottom end.
  12. my dyno was not in shoot out mode either when i made the 387rwhp. The time you have ran magic 1 is about what id expect with 414rwhp. As said, congrats.
  13. 511rwhp... steve either your a genuis or wa dyno's are bit happy. On a dd dyno the most i made from the same set up you just mentioned using stock cams and forward facing stock plenum was 387rwhp. If this car has truly made that power, im expecting low 11s hi 10s @ 130mph. Unless its just a dyno car? How ever the case, awesome result.

  16. I had the same problem. Turned out to be my copper head gasket was r**ted. Water and oil was mixing during cold starts and on idle. Not long after motor went boom.

  18. Thanks BMT. I have a few questions to ask: Why was the engine rebuilt after the major enhanced build?? Did you get a new block or use the old one and rebuild it? Has the block been prep'd at all? eg sleeved? Is it the s15 engine which is built or an s15 block with s13 head (sorry cant tell from the pic)?
  19. It didnt. He was making over 400rwhp with standard internals. Then took the car off the rd for a year and built everything pretty much. Came back on the rd a week or two before Jamboree 04. How ever he didnt run it at full potential at Jambo due to the car still not being run in yet. The car will be debuting at the track some time soon i believe.
  20. i know of an r32 with 430rwhp that went 12.1 @ 119mph
  21. Hardcore Racing have built an r33 which made 670rwhp on c16 & nitrous. I believe its using an innovative turbo.
