  1. Im possibly looking aT buying one of these with 90k on the clock. Just want to know how much there worth as i have no idea on there values. Thanks Harun
  2. hes only 2.?mph quicker then my time. thats were i was reflecting the difference. not in 1/4mile time. my bad if it came out that way
  3. Well i went similar to his time with a very similar tune (being the way his car makes its power curve) and power (i made 345rwhp). Congrats on the time. Should see your car dip into the 11s in the near future harun
  4. R33 gtst lsd diff, complete centre located in bris $300 0410 553 070 or [email protected] harun
  5. 1000bhp from an rb26 being used all the time... i give it no more then 20 000kms
  6. I dont believe this to be a statement which can reflect its potential. When i had my Skyline (During the period which it went 120mph) i raced another car on the street (which had gone 125mph at the track) i pulled car lenghts on it easy.
  7. GTST Vspec - update once you have run. Seems to be alot speculation about your cars hp figures. harun
  8. This is the list for my previous r33. its not in order just all from the top of my head. New engine bottom end: $3000 t88: $2000 Clutch: $700 Tyres: $1200 Gearbox: $1400 Injectors: $800 Fuel Pump $400 Insurance $3700 front bar $350 Tuning $1000 Battery $200 Gaskets + Labour $2000 Manifold + heliculs (not sure how to spell it) $1200 Headwork $400 Servicing $1000 Labour approx $2500 all up i forget the rest.....
  9. Varies.... Some rb25 rods are different to rb26 rods. I know of engine were they tried to use rb26 rods wouldnt work. They had to re-ground the crank or there bouts for it. I know they modified something for the rods to fit.
  10. Cams definately hold back. Yes you can make over 300rwkw but after 6500rpm you lose alot of power. Here are 2 of my dyno graphs. One with a T88 (345rwhp) and gt30 (420rwhp). (only using dyno graphs to show how power was made and were it was dropping in power. Disregard the figures).
  11. I never got around to it. Everytime i wanted to something else came up. When i first bought the car, it wasnt running right. By the time i got that fixed it, which took me about 6 weeks, I spent a grand on it. Was abit low on funds. When i re-saved enough money i changed my injectors and fell abit short when i went to purchase some cams. Then my fuel pump let go on me. Then i bought new tyres and spent money on other things. Then i spent money preparing the car for Jamboree, then my engine blew, then my turbo, then my gearbox. It was asthough i was plagued with a disease or some how was meant to be. So i fixed everything, and just when i was about to order the cams something else came up which forced me to sell the car. I did want to put cams in it but, couldnt get around to it. And i do highly recommend them.
  12. I never stated my car did an 11sec pass or WAS a 11sec car. How ever saying it is capable of doing an 11 is something different and not so easy to do. Though the process i went through is a step to what is needed to do a 11sec pass. As the title says 'looking at building a 11sec r33, THIS MAY HELP YOU'. I have not stated at all that the process i took will gaurentee you an 11sec pass but with the right set up you possibly could do an 11sec. I failed. No ifs, no buts, no excuses. It can be done. Im just trying to help. Stop complaining about who said whose car does this or that. Just put some useful info down. Sydneykid: Yes we (we being my mechanic and tuner) believe the power drop off was due to using standard cams. I did have plans to change them eventually though i sold the car before i did.
  13. No offence taken Adrian. Each to there own. If you believe this thread wont help people in how to build an 11sec car then so be it. As i stated in the threads title 'this may help you', in your case it doesnt as you have already run into the 11s. If you could post how you managed to do it, it could help others. The reason why i started this thread was because there are alot of people who would like to achieve such power figures to run such times (being the 11s). I mearly stated what i did to try and achieve an 11sec pass which was achievable though, i didnt due to a few factors halting the vehicle from running the times eg. traction issue and leaking exhaust gasket and intercooler hose. Most people that make over 300rwkw dont give specs out or always hide something. I got nothing to hide in what i did. As you can see the car was only making 345rwhp (approx 250rwk) on 24psi. Yet with only 20psi it went 120mph. If you count every psi being 10hp thats 305rwhp (approx 230rwkw) to do 120mph, which theoretically means its capable of an 11sec with the right run. Ben from Hi performance imports Went 11.9 @ 118-119mph with 290rwkw. This is just to compare traction and no traction. But as much as i know, you know that i would have run an 11 should i have used better tyres. Therefore forget the fact i didnt do an 11 and please put forward some useful info in how other could go that far and what you achieved to do an 11sec pass Harun
  14. Merli: To me it looked custom but then again it could have been some jap type. Basically when all pipes joined there was a splitter inside (Joind to a rectanuglar shaped box which extended for approx 2-3inchs. I could be wrong on the measurements as im only guessing from what i can remem). 3 pipes to one side of the spliter, the other 3 pipes to the other side of the splitter. The splitter had a few holes in it aswell. Not too many but about half a dozen id say. It spun me out for a while but i came to the conclusion that this would be designed to even out the airflow on both sides of the splitter. Thats all the info i have. When the engine comes out the Skyline i will try to take a pic of it for you. Funny thing is, when my car was running right i never had the chance to take it to the track and when i did always for some reason something would stop me from running a good time. In term of reliability it was always reliable. Only problem it had was with the microtech playing up and the exhaust manifold gasket always sh!tting it self. Could never fix that problem.
  15. Merli i will try and source you a pic. We were all abit confused when we took the GT30 off and noticed the manifold split into 2. Thats were i modified it, extended it and created a new flange for the t88 to sit on. Adrian: you know the difference yourself between how good rubber and bad rubber can affect you. But as always the driver does play a major part in how the car performs.
  16. Adrian: what your saying is correct. It did have have the power bar the timeslip. The 1st time i went out the best i could do was a 12.6 @ 120mph (3 runs only). I was only boosting to 20psi due to having a leaking exhaust manifold. A problem which i couldnt clear. The next time i hit the track i blew the Intercooler connector hose pipe (one of the corner bends). I asked every one at the track if they could either let me borrowone for the evening or buy a similar bent hose off them. But to no avail. The next day i sold the car. I tried to make the new owner take it out to prove that it would do an 11 at approx 12+mph but he ended up having an accident in it and wrote it off. You can bag, insult what ever you like about the time slip, but (as every one has an excuse) if i did have slicks or Nittos, god dam it would of ran an 11. Im just trying to help those who seek info on 'what' i did to achieve such power which was capable of an 11sec pass. Sorry for the topic heading as that is what came to my mind when i decided to write this thread. Merli: The manifold i had was a 6-2 design manifold. I think it was actually working backwards on the GT30. As you can see max boost was reached at very similar revs. Here is also the other 2 dyno sheets. BTW: When the car made 345rwhp it was @ 24psi. At the mazfix dyno day it was running less boost with yet again another leaking exhaust manifold and made 419rwhp.
  17. Since i got a copy of all my Dyno's in my Previous R33, i thought i would put up a post of how the car performed to the mods i did. This thread could possibly help people who are in the build of quick rb25's. BU5TER and STEVE, im pretty sure you guys could ad to this. When i first bought my car it came with these mods: Garret GT30 .82 rear housing Forward facing standard plenum Bosch 0444 fuel pump and surge and larger fuel lines Micks Metal craft front mount Microtech MTX8 MSD Dis 4 ignition system 42mm Turbonetics Deltagate (external Venting) Custom Exhaust Manfiold 3inch Exhaust with no cat, Just a rear HKS rear muffler. 1st dyno on 17psi it made 330rwhp 2nd dyno with some tuning it made 360rwhp on 21psi 3rd dyno with some more tuning and 26psi it made 387rwhp (dont have dyno sheets for above as i have lost them) With 330rwhp 1/4mile time was 13.6 @ 113mph 360rwhp 13.2 @ 116mph (60fts being in the 2.4's) Then i got bigger injectors. Changed from Standard to 660cc and fitted a Malpassi fuel pressure reg. Same set up on 28psi it made 421.2hp. As you can see after 6500rpm there was a major drop off. This engine lasted like this for only a few weeks before it spun a bearing and dropped piston number 6 into the sump. This was on BP Ultimate. Built a new engine, got the head cleaned up and moddified. This time switched to wiseco pistons from Arias forget pistons and we dropped the compression slightly. Same set up as above except less compression and different pistons, i made 420.7rwhp. Though it held more power up to past 6500rpm. This tune was done on Optimax. This set up lasted a month before the turbo shit it self. I then went out and bought a Trust T88-33d. Rated at either 750 or 850hp (sorry forgot what it was rated at). I also got a new headgasket, and modified the exhaust manifold. With less timing on 24psi it made 345rwhp. (dis regard the rpm @ the bottom due to it being out by 500-1000rpm). This was on BP Ultimate. With the above set up i took it to Willowbank in Complete St trim, put the boost down to 20psi due to a leaking exhaust gasket manifold. It went 12.601 @ 120.6*mph with a 2.3 60ft. (gave time slip to new owner). Once sorted leaking gasket and manifold went back to the track on 24psi, 1st run the intercooler connecting hose shat it self. Though 330ft was .5sec quicker then 12.601 pass and was up 4mph too. With the same set up on 21psi and leaking exhaust manifold gasket again (now with the new owner) at the Mazfix Dyno day it made 419.2 hp SOme people say the car was making alot less power then it should due to the tuning, some said my cams were restrictiing it too much. Hope the above info helps and any one else with Hi Hp rb25 please do post up the steps you have taken Good luck harun
  18. Recently looking, been following the newspaper, forums and other means of advertisements and noticed a huge decrease in GTR Prices. I looked at a couple of R32's today. Each for sale at 25k. One being a 91 mod the other a 93mod. Both pretty standard though one with abit higher K's then the other. There are also a few GTR's in the Trading post under 30k. Prodiminently (no idea how 2 spell that word) R32 GTRs. A friend is also selling an immac r33 96 vpsec with under 80k on the clock in white with 19s deep dish for 35k. Is it just me or has the 89 model GTR's caused such a decrease in value of the GTR??
  19. I had a t88-33d on my rb25 - not much of lag difference between it and the gt30 ( knowing that both turbo's are completely different and the t88 being able to flow much more and was not bb). The t88 i had was a great turbo. Supposedly rated at 850hp?? can some one confirm the hp rating of t88-33d's. I can recommend the t88 though i do not know much about the other turbo.
  20. The car was backed into a gaurd rail. The driveline has not been damaged. Yes the petrol tank is gone. The diff is fine too. I shal take more pics when i get a chance too. Prob mid next week. Harun
  21. My bad. I thought you were directing it at me. Only post if interested or have relevante questions. harun
