+1 I need more practice drifting to keep me better than Doof
  2. I suppose you where there too... I knew I forgot someone, in fact I'm pretty sure I forgot someone else too
  3. My mate had an FTO. His insurance was about $1000 more than mine, he had a lock up garage and a clean driving history. I park my car on a drive way and have had a licence suspension. As for getting a tiptronic model so you can select the gears... you can do that with an ordinary auto box. 1, 2, 3, 4, D. My experience with tiptronic boxes is that it is a little bit of a gimmick. Personally I would learn how to drive a manual. Though, I say that when I have been driving maunal vehicles sinse I was 12
  4. Orange? Bathurst? I thought this thread was about way out west
  5. Spotted Slide, Vic, Chubbs, Ando, Clappa and LimeCordial @ Teh Northern
  6. Spotted Chubbseh yesterday in his car yelling "everyone follow teh Failboat!"
  7. My tyres are pretty loud eh? Stock exhaust/air filter/turbo/car ftw! I see these being mucked with a fair bit... I would totally just set up a speaker near by and have random loud noises happening and random times... like when that cyclist is riding past
  8. I'm with Justcar. I'm 21 Live in a low risk area 1 speeding fine 1 licence suspension (from above speeding fine) Alarm/Immobiliser/Turbo Timer Around $2,000 for wheels Around $500 for sound system Pay around $2,200. Last year was around $3,500 Granted excess is at a point where I want to all but write off the car lol You have go to be joking... no offence but the best price NRMA could do for me was more than double what JustCar wanted, and I didn't even tell NRMA about my driving history. They put it down to "not being speciallists in imports and high performance cars." Bullshit, JustCar insures anything just like NRMA and pays the money just like NRMA. But did you know you can save up to 12.5% if you combine policies? That brings down the price to just 75% more than JustCar LOL Rang up Shannons, and they gave me an EXCELENT price, except I needed a garage to be insured... so that went out the window
  9. I bought one of these to go drifting with earlier in the month (or later last month... either or lol) It's fantastic. On my R33 its really, really easy to install (I did it the super, lazy, don't drill any holes way) and the only issue I had with it is that because I didn't drill any holes to install it, I need to be careful because the D shackle can foul on the latching mechanism, and it's not enough of an issue to make me want to drill the holes I was going to use the battery triangles, but I left them at home IMO, great value for money (even more than Evil_Weevil's golf buggy strap )
  10. Seeing as you already got some cable from work, make up some cable to go from your battery to the chassis. Something like this. That is 2 x 35mm2 cables. Very much over kill for what I have, but it does the trick
  11. While I don't live out west any more (not since I was 5 any way ), a few times a year I drive to Gilgandra or a property near Burren Junction. I have to say, the Skyline handles the roads to and from these places no problem, providing I don't get rained in. 2WD + mud = epic fail lol
  12. My brother just rang me up to tell me he saw a R35 GT-R in Chatswood... I want to see a white R35 GT-R in Chatswood
  13. Spotted Corinne, Beau and Doof last night while lifting and dropping stuff Also spotted 2 white stageas on the way to the Coastie Cruise... I think... they where heading down the freeway
  14. Considering only 2 cars had to be towed out of the mud yesterday and I was one of them, I would have to agree. Drift + 255 tyres + HICAS + stock power + stock weight + noob driver = Fail Having said that I had heaps of fun, and got a few momemts where I think I got good angle
  15. My friends who pissed off fairly early in the day took some photos. Shame they are only of my car though I'm beached as bro! Was pretty much FUBARed by the end of the weekend, has been pretty busy
  16. I'm going to have to bail on this Today was a long, f**ked day and tomorrow is going to be more or less the same. Hope you all have a good time
  17. EDIT... Never mind, its a completely different plug. At least I have narrowed it down a little lol
  18. It kind of looks like one of the plugs that goes into the back of the stock head unit. One sec...
  19. Hmmmmz... Coastie Cruise or Northern... Driving or drinking... Laughing at Bogandores or laughing at Commowhores... For once booze wins
  20. The club I used to frequent was on the corner of Broadway and Harris St, so I found the best place to park if one so happened to be designated driver was behind Ultimo TAFE. Free parking in between 6PM and 6AM if memory serves me... it is on the street though and it is a little bit of a hike to the Gaelic. Map Clicky Granted, I only have ever parked my Skyline there once, but my mate in his FTO used to park there religiously every Friday night, no problems at all.
  21. LOL +1, Happy Birthday mate
  22. Nah, I went to Wakie in June with some random club called SAU Improved my lap time from a hand timed 1'19" to a Natsoft timed 1'16.580" Can't wait for pics of the Failboat and the Whaleboat
  23. Every now and then I get reminded that touching something live and something earthed is a fun filled experience lol Granted that not much pain is involved, just a very uneasy, tingling feeling... not to mention muscle spasms
  24. 13mm is a weird size to find in a Japanese car... but at work, the M8 bolts (8mm thread) we use have 13mm heads.
  25. I'm going to clean my car now. I am le tired now... However... WOOT WAKEY TOMORROW!!! See all who are coming down there
