I have an RB25 series II into R32 loom I bought off somebody that had it on his car until he crashed drifting. I didn't know it was series II when I bought it so now I can't use it for my spare. Let me know if you want it.
Had a friend who ran one on his Evo. He raved about how good it was and how much better it was than my ebay knock off, until his stuck open and he couldn't boost at all (re-circed back into the exhaust). He thought he broke his turbo, and actually took it off to send back for a rebuild until we figured out the culprit. Not saying they sucked, but his did.
Don't tell anybody, but there is a super accurate calculator here for hp on an RB26. Seriously, it's a secret, so don't spread that around to just any one.
So you actually did start it with only 1.5L in it??????? It doesn't matter how long you did or did not run it for. Not enough oil can turd your motor instantly. Wow, that's amazing. You'll be lucky if you didn't trash the motor. I can't see your video since it's blocked from work BTW, but I'm sure as hell going to look at it now when I get home.
This has to be one of the most retarded things I've ever heard of, and you actually posted up a "help me" thread about it?? Priceless :laughing-smiley-014:
There was a break, don't know the year, but the old style is blue faced, and new is grey. The electronic sensor on the back of the speedo is a little different. You can swap the sensors interchangably though. I did exactly what you are talking about on mine on a couple of occasions.
If you set the rail pressure higher, then yes, you can get a bit more out of the injectors, but you are going to have to re-tune everything.
I can't understand the rest of what you typed. Not being a dick, but english is your second language, right?
Gotcha. He's got a used kit with manifold, wastegate, turbo, and I think intercooler and piping for sale.
You can't veiw the site? I didn't think you needed a certain post count just to lurk.
Wow, their is so much bad info in this thread it's ridiculous. Why would oiling be any more of a problem drag racing with more hp? Please O please tell me about oil drain back in the head. Make my argument easy for me. The stock internals will handle that fine. Many people here on Oki running T88's on stock internals. That's the small T88 BTW.
As was stated above, the link I posted is from a guy who's been running it for several years, and he is on stock internals right down to the headgasket. If you don't have first or even hand knowledge, don't just repeat what you have read over and over again on the internet.
You just did, and you forgot to use your turn signal on the way in.
Seriously, what would posses you to ask a completely unrelated question in a thread already deemed beyond useless? I doubt you could have picked a worst place to ask this question, unless you want to ask it in the dyno results thread.
What pump is behind the FPR? I think that would matter a good bit. I wouldn't try to much with a Walbro, but a bosch or aeromotive or something like that I might.
I've got the bottom end or a wiring harness for a RB25 neo that was in an automatic Nissan Laurel if that helps any. It was chopped just before the ECU, so it should have most of the plugs you need.
Completely agree. Journal bearing or BB, shouldn't matter. If something were touching to get "worn in correctly" it's going to lunch itself (is that correct aussie slang? ) anyways.
