  1. If the government was really concerned with saving the enviroment they would make it financially viable for Australia to become a leading manufacturer and adopter of Hyrdogen power vehicles instead of this half hearted effort with crap like the Camry Hybrid (which literally no one but government agencies actually wants to buy). Australia has a great opportunity to get ahead of the rest of the world for a change instead of playing catch up, why not pioneer Hydrogen vehicles and make a killing exporting those cars to the rest of the world.
  2. Thats probably because it has less than half the hp
  3. It does but just because it produces good numbers doesnt mean it can put that power down, only now are Holden able to put down most of the power in their current V8's. The suspension in the VS Stato while being very comfy gives you loads of wheel spin and the inability to put the power down. Also its a VS its at least 14 years old and unlike Skylines most Holden's that age arent maintained very well and it would be lucky to have 150kw left out of the 185kw it came out of the factory with. My VP V6 came out of the factory with 127kw 19 years ago it now has roughly 90kw left.
  4. I'm pretty much the same here, already got Ratchet and Clank and Little Big Planet, downloading Infamous right now too. I havent had any problems beyond a few errors when trying to start the downloads.
  5. On paper you should be able to win quite easily, but in practice its a bit different it depends on how good of a driver you are, whether the Stato is an auto or not etc Even a VZ SS does at best a 13.99 1/4 mile a GTS-T should be able to beat that quite easily.
  6. I agree and plus think of all the hipsters and Asians who will buy them so they can think they are top shit. Definetly a brilliant financial move by BMW and they will still have the 1,3,5 and 7 series for people who want a proper RWD BMW. Although with the cheapness of the new FWD models it may kill off the 1 series, because it is mostly bought by people with delusions of grandeur who just want the badge.
  7. I remember watching an ABC documentary during year 9 geography which would now be *does math* 10 years ago and a group of scientists were discussing global warming and green house gas emissions. In this discussion they concluded that the current possible warming of the globe is possibly the prelude to an ice age and that the amount of water vapour required for an ice age is massive because when an ice age does occur it happens very rapidly over a peroid of weeks according to research. This charts reconstructed temperatures from several sources and maps them out over the past 2000 years As you will notice even now the highest recorded anomaly was only 0.4C over the average yet in the Medieval era it reached -0.9C so the deviations in temperature can be quite large even without industrialised man ruining the party. Also to be quite honest I think all the climate change supporters have their priorities completely wrong, climate change wont be a threat to human existence for centuries, we will have to adapt to rising sea levels etc but humans have gone through far worse. (this is based on man made climate change being correct, which I do not believe is correct) However there are enviromental issues that will be a threat to human existence and quality of life in the much nearer future. For instance deforestation will effect weather patterns and the availability of arable land, this is fact not some issue drummed up for monetary support. The deforestationof the Amazon basin has already reduced part of the rainforest to farmland and finally something that resembles the beginning's of a desert. Secondly and perhaps more importantly the population of the earth is set to exceed 9 billion by 2050, all these people need to eat, need to drink water and simply put there isnt going to be enough. There already isnt enough. For instance if you google India's water situation you will find a BBC news article that states that they are currently running much of their farming operations off of bore water as they dont have enough in their catchments to maintain food production at such high levels. Simply put population growth is the to borrow Gillard/Rudd rhetoric "The greatest moral challenge of our time". But you watch it get swept under the rug because its impossible to tell people to keep their family sizes down in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and South America (also i'm not being racist North America, Europe and Australia's populations would already be shrinking without migration so we are a non issue). Also if you play the climate change card on the issue of population growth who among us is going to tell over a billion Chinese and Indians as of 2011 that they cant have cars, air con, electricity, running water? and theres going to be a hell of a lot more of them in 2050. Climate change is very difficult nigh on impossible to tackle because China, India and the rest of the developing world cant very well tell their populations that they cant have a western standard of living because they need to save the planet, their governments will have revolutions on their hands.
  8. Thanks mate I will take a look and see if they are any good
  9. They any good or just the usual games based on tv/movie licensed crap?
  10. I wanted to know this, thanks Free Burnout Paradise on Playstation+ this month too, if you dont have it, get it, its f**king awesome
  11. Not my cup of tea, its got brilliant graphics when it comes to the people, they really do look exactly the same as the actors. But as far as gameplay goes its quite easy and not really my thing, like others said its easy and in the end the game is actually quite short. A good weekly rental but not something that you wanna buy full price unless your like my gf and love detective type stuff.
  12. Even with driveline loss looking at the other numbers in that thread 177kw is still definetly on the high side to say the least.
  13. Has anyone bought gold for WOT? Is it worth it? and finally is the Lowe actually the good credit farmer some say it is. Heres my profile

I agree, we have all made potentionally catastrophic mistakes when we drive for one reason or another and people may one day die as a result. Such is life.

I know someone has said this before but after my second strike I would just buy a VN V6 and start doing hoops out front of the cop shop at 2am in the morning . Not gonna hurt anyone and they can crush the bloody thing into a cube I couldnt give a fark. No f**king way are they getting their hands on my good car just because I spun my wheels a bit in the wet and some cop has a small dick and needs to feel big. Hell I remember driving my dad's EA Falcon auto that thing would easy get wheel spin in the wet if you werent careful.
  16. Mate if your after a <5 year old car, then some of the cars on your list will be more than 30k. Audi A4 Diesel Wagon is 32k, Q5 diesel is 60k, current shape Mondeo TDCi wagon is 33k. If it were my money I would go the VW Passat wagon if it had to be a diesel under 30k, heres a car sales link to a good one. I wouldnt bother with the Captiva of all the people i knew who had them they all had problems and in my experience are POS.
  17. If you've got a workshop manual for the car I would recommend looking up taking off the throttle body and give a good clean with some carby cleaner. If the injectors are causing it to run rough that badly injector cleaner may not be enough to fix the problem, you might have to take them to get professionally cleaned. To be honest with you I would clean the throttle body first anyway, it doesnt cost much money for some carby cleaner and only takes a couple of hours. Could save you some money on getting injectors cleaned when you dont have to.
  18. It certainly would be an interesting car thats for sure, RWD TT and weighing bugger all. I get the feeling your gonna go for the S2000, although I have little doubt that once you have the GT-T option open to you'll get one , you could always keep the S2000 too after you got the GT-T.
  19. Fair enough mate, usually the GTR is the goal for most of us on here, I know a R33 GTR is for me . Well if you only going for a GT-T and ou hunker down for 3 years saving and just running a Falcodore for work, you could come out with probably nearly 80k, spend 15k on a really hotted up GT-T with mods and you've got a massive deposit for house to get ahead in life.
  20. If your anything like my brother you will just end up buying the fast legal car you can afford. Although if it was my money I would keep the car I had while on my P's save up my money then buy a R34 GTR and get a loan for part of the GTR if you need it. If you live at home and dont party too hard you could easily put away $2k a month, in 3 years you could have a deposit on a house and a R34 GTR especially if you invested that money you saved in a good term deposit.
  21. Perhaps there may be a fair bit of gunk on the throttle body which can cause the car to run rough. There's a million reasons the car could be running rough so any other info you can give us about the problem would be helpful. Could also be a torque converter issue, if the torque converter is on its way out then that can cause a pulsating sort of noise. How many km's has the car done?
  22. LOL, my VP Commodore with a cracked exhaust manifold, exhaust with holes in it and buggered headgasket does 0-100 in 12 seconds
  23. Total time spent not playing my Xbox 360 due to it being broken because of cheap karnts at Microsoft not affording 8 extra bolts 1 year, 3 months 12 days and running. (2 broken Xbox's) Total time spent not playing my Ps3 online because of some asshole hackers 2 weeks and running Yeah I still prefer the Ps3, at least I can still play offline. If my Ps3 breaks or PSN is down for 1 year and 3 months then I will consider the 360 the superior console.
  24. +1 Why wouldnt you want to spend your hard earned cash on.....I dont know....A good car.
  25. I can really see why Marc loves trolling in here so much
