  1. I have experience in the import export industry so I might be able to help you.Import Duty will likely sting you for at least 5% perhaps more, plus the 10% GST. Motor cost including Shipping $5300 Import Duty $265 GST(10% of motor cost inc duty) $556.5 Total $6,121.5 Thats best case scenario. If you are seriously considering doing this I would reccomend talking to a shipping agent who can facilitate things like dealing with customs and more importantly find out if you need an import license or not (if you do need one it makes the whole thing one big hassle that is only worth it if your going to import goods on a regular basis.
  2. Perhaps its the fact that it is practically impossible to purchase a "new" R34 GTT, as they would of all been used in some way by now unless some crazy Nissan dealerin Japan has been keeping one in a garage since 2002 for this occasion
  3. I'll give him $10, with a respray I could maybe stretch it to $35
  4. The ADR's itself is a joke, apparently a brand new Audi RS3 is not safe enough for Australia yet one of those piece of shit Chinese cars like Cherry or Great Wall get a free pass even though in an accident they fold like a piece of paper. Its all a load of bollocks to keep local manufacturers going and somehow appease the vocal minority who believe the crap the government feeds them. If not for the ridiculous restrictions put upon imports we'd all be driving BMW M3's,Audi RS4's and Porsche 911's instead of Skylines for roughly the same money from 10-50k depending on the age and model. Even with import duty, GST, a reasonable compliance fee and shipping a current shape M3 (from the UK) would come out at roughly 50-60k depending on condition. Yet we pay more than twice that
  5. Glad they caught the bastards for a change, I hope you get back your grandkids quad
  6. Even the UN believe Iran is developing nuclear weapons, so unlike Iraq the WMD argument most definetly applies. - Australia will be impacted by any blockade due to higher oil prices and fuel prices cripping our economy along with those economies in the rest of the industrialised world that rely on Middle Eastern oil. - China will not allow any blockade to happen because they most of their oil through the Strait and will not allow their economy to be crippled by a madman in Iran. - World war 3 will not come from any agressive action against the Iranians, perhaps others in the Arab world may get involved perhaps even Pakistan at an extreme stretch but this war even it escalates into a regional conflict will remain just that. - World war's happen when countries are roughly evenly matched and conflict escalates until other powers get drawn in, any agressive action by the United States against Iran would result in Iran's and any of its allies war making capabilites destruction within a matter of days and the war within a matter of months. - China's ascendency to the place of the worlds largest economic power is all but certain and they will not risk their place as top dog just to screw with the Americans. They will have plenty of opportunities in 15-20 years time when the size of the Chinese navy rivals that of the United States and they can finally have their showdown over something that matters to them Taiwan. I think people underestimate the power of the United States Navy and airforce. Not counting air force aircraft the United States navy carrier air wings maintain more modern combat aircraft than any airforce in the world and that doesnt even take into account the hundreds of ships and submarines carrying cruise missles and also the thousands of U.S airforce aircraft. If there is war it will be a short one. I will however say that an Iraq style invasion is probably not going to be the likely outcome if ti does come to war, more likely a complete destruction of Iran's war making capabiilites along with the destruction of Iran's ruling class and government and then either civil war or a Libya like uprising by the downtrodden. The Americans now know that nation building is not their forte and considering their economic position its going to be shock and awe for a couple of weeks perhaps months then back home.
  7. My copy and my girlfriends both came from Amazon with no issue. What class you guys playing? At the moment I have a level 42 Jedi Sentinel and a level 15 Sith Marauder.
  8. This is perhaps one of the best times for Iran to start a war at least from the West's perspective, they get to justify destroying Iran and their nuclear program as a defensive action as opposed to the offensive wars the United States has more or less fought since Korea. It would regalvanise support for the United States from its European allies and also increase support for the United States in places like India, South Korea and Japan. Ultimately its not the Americans oil that will be interrupted by any potential blockade, its the Asian nations and Europe who would suffer. Needless to say the U.S Fifth fleet would destroy any blockade let alone the other U.S armed forces assets that are no doubt on their way to the region as we speak. On a different note I agree with Maxima that spy plane is long gone.
  9. I havent heard anything along those lines, also if it was it would be blowing up right about now on the Old Republic forums.
  10. At least for those of you who ordered from Amazon with Priority International Shipping "Star Wars: The Old Republic" Previous estimated arrival date: December 23, 2011 - December 29, 2011 New estimated arrival date: December 21, 2011 - December 27, 2011
  11. News from Bioware: Early Game Access* will begin on December 13th at 7:00AM EST, 2011 and ends on December 19th, 2011 at 10:01PM EST. During this time, we will be emailing invitations to join Early Game Access based on the order in which you redeemed your Pre-Order Code. Pre-load the game client now, so you're ready to play when your Early Game Access invitation arrives. Note that download time can vary and may take awhile. I am shattered at having to wait for my physical copy from Amazon to play after the early access peroid ends, hopefully it comes before Christmas so I can spend the holiday peroid in my fortress of Solitude
  12. +1 Cheap VT or even a cheap BA Falcon on LPG cheap as chips + great resale value when you come to sell it when your off your P's.
  13. Indeed if all you want is a car for the traffic light GP a modded XR6 Turbo, VE SS or Clubby will be much better bang for your buck than an R34 GTR. The R32-R34's arent the be all and end all of performance anymore. With an average driver behind the wheel like myself a car like a G6E Turbo Falcon would smash a R34 GTR in a straight line 9 times out 10 because you have to get every gear change perfect to win in the R34, in the Falcon you have a ZF auto to do practically everything for you. Like Zebra said buy a Skyline if your an enthusiast not because you want to be king of the road.
  14. Where did you get MW3 on the PS3 for $48? I would be keen to get it for that price
  15. I dont actually mind the stock gun on the Tiger 2, as long as you aim for the lower frontal armour on a T32 you can kill it reasonably quickly. I definetly need the engine upgrade though it is painfully slow. What are you guys favourite tanks? My favourite so far is the VK3601, has the speed to flank, good frontal armour and the 88 is powerful enough to damage to tanks from much higher tiers.
  16. I am 99% sure he's not trolling, this is Alvin we're talking about
  17. Welcome to Australia Alvin, where the criminal has more legal rights and importance than the victim. Thankfully the British have come to their senses and now your allowed to f**k up whoever tries to steal or damage your property within the confines of your property. Hopefully this will come to Australia soon and finally home owners can start to defend themselves, their families and their homes without fear of legal reprocussions. As far as i'm concerned if someone breaks into your home you dont know whether they are to rape your missus, steal your car or kidnap your kids you simply dont know what they want and must act accordingly and as far i'm concerned if they end up with a knife in their back or a bullet in their head all the better for the rest of us. I'm not prepared to risk the physical well being of my family just because some out of touch judge on his high horse says so. I know how the system works my brother got out of an armed robbery charge scot free just because he had it tough growing up. Edit: I have lived in bad neighbourhoods and good ones where nothing bad ever happens. Its easy for those of us who live in safe places to say that this is all too much, but when you have lived in places with people coming into your home to steal things or to visit hurt on your family you begin to see things very differently. For those of you who still live in a places anything like that I would agree with Cannabiscorpse and say your best defence is big scary looking dog.
  18. You can kinda see that the devs are Russians now. I bet they imagine all Americans talk like those ridiculous new voices. I want the old voices back or better yet new good ones.
  19. [quote name=ClutchBurndout-' timestamp='1308706607' post='5877238] havnt played wow in ages feels good man LOL clutch you just replaced WOW with World of tanks
  20. Its quite simple really, you first design one thats brilliant and will work forever, then the accountants come in and decide that your design is too expensive and you have to design one that costs $5 instead of $7. That is why the headlining in the VN-VS Commodores (i'm not sure about the later ones) is made out of cardboard and inevitably sags. Its also the reason that they used pop rivets instead of bolts to secure the electric window regulators to save what I can only imagine was maybe $2 a car. I'm not hating on Holden just pointing out that they along with all other car companys cut corners to save money wherever they can. Also to the OP its a Daewoo with a Holden badge, so dont be too pissed off with Holden, the Commodore which is actually a Holden is actually a pretty good car especially for the money. Also getting your car serviced at the dealers is mostly for chumps, my brother used to work at Holden and the stories of the shit they used to do in order to save money or go joyriding in peoples cars at lunch time was enough to make me never want to get a service done at a dealer ever. If I want work done on my car I will find a good reliable mechanic.
  21. LOL next thing you know people will be asking him to throw in a set of GTR seats
  22. Indeed, I play more of the wager matches these days too. I love gun game and sticks and stones it keeps things interesting. As for TDM for the most part its turned into a camp fest like MW2 did after a while and getting killed by those mofo's who keep camping who just camp where they spawn after they died it gets annoying to the point of just not wanting to bother any more. I am hoping Battlefield 3 with its fully destructible enviroment will change this, i'm looking forward to collapsing buildings on the bastard campers who are still inside.
  23. You make an interesting point but to be fair to the developing nations they are mostly yet to industrialise, so therefore their per capita emissions are actually quite low. Its not very fair that we in the developed world get to have 2 cars, electricity, our massive amounts of electronics and other consumer goods while those in developing nations would be lucky to have even the most basic electricity. It comes down to the governments of developing nations wanting to provide a decent western style quality of life, which is hardly unreasonable. For this reason emissions reductions in the developed world are possible with Emission trading schemes etc, but would ultimately make literally no difference considering China and India still have more than half their populations living in mostly pre-industrial condtions. That doesnt even begin to consider the possible implications of the industralisation of Sub-Saharan Africa either.
  24. Yeah it is arcade-ish, its a top down shooter. Its okay for what it is, but i'd much rather have Infamous than Dead Nation if I had to choose. Also getting free games is a genius way to help people forget that PSN was down for ages, I'll bet many people have already forgotten and are back in love with Sony for giving them free games. Especially those who have more than 1 gamertag and ended up getting all 5 games.
