  1. All of my diff cradle bushes, those for the entire rear end K-frame are knackered and it makes a loud clunk when backing off. It's got progresively worse over the last year. Nissan quoted me $3000 to fix it with an entirely new K-frame from Japan... I decided to go a second hand jobbie for now (much cheaper!)
  2. For those on dialup, it's approx 12MB.
  3. Thanks for the PM Marc.
  4. It'll be illegal, but yes, it'll "whoosh".
  5. Ben (Racepace) assured me they're a bloody item. I had to search high and low to get my hands on the stockies as my car came with a dodgy HKS item. I love the sound the stock units make too.
  6. Here's a placard James... looks like I need to speak to Dean again too - my tyres (very common on GTRs) aren't listed; 255/40/17 (Falken Azenis, 94ZR) I don't want to get done for something as pedantic as a tyre size that's unlisted, especially when they're a safe tyre, rated for high-speed use, when there's people out there running on retreads.
  7. They are definitely raised, but was never mentioned to me as a problem when it was done. I've got a lifetime warranty on mine anyway, so I'm not fussed.
  8. I'm no expert, but it seems a little odd to me too...
  9. That's the most amazing dyno graph I've never seen.
  10. Don't misconstrue what I've written INASNT. James was picked up on a technicality because he's done most of his modifications legally. I'm not condoning the action of the Police officer, but if he's been told to come down hard on imports by his superiors, then he is simply following orders.
  11. Although I think it's being incredibly nit-picky, technically a law has been broken.
  12. Still no PM. Could someone please spread this valuable information to me also?
  13. Same when you service it. Leave the rev limit to say 3500rpm - the car is drivable, but not thrashable. Unless of course they have a PFC hand controller themselves.
  14. I had a particular train of thought, and now I think my suspicions might be correct.
  15. Hmm.. so you didn't willingly hand them directly to the thief then? Sounds like a typical insurance company trying to weasel their way out of paying. Believe it or not, I'm still in dispute with my insurance company over items that were in the car at the time, viz. my camera equipment. It was valued at a little over $3,000, but they decided that they only wanted to pay me $1250 for it. You can understand why I've not accepted their offer. I await hearing what argument the insurer put to you for not covering the theft (when you can give us a run down)

  20. Mate, that's great news. I had my WRX stolen 2 years ago and it's never been seen since. I can honestly say it was the best example of a 2 year old WRX that I've ever seen. I bought it brand new and looked after it like it was my child. Until you've had a car stolen, you'll never know what it feels like. How did this "willingly" hand over the keys occur?
  21. Thanks again for your invaluable input!
  22. Actually Brant Nemesis has an anti-hijack feature. It's a great alarm, comes standard on WRXs, but is a bit of a pain in the butt in its operation...
  23. Could someone please send it to me?
  24. The other thread is no more? :ghost:
