  1. I will go go against the grain and say from what i have read on the internet, the bw stuff seems to be laggier than the garret stuff, especially in 2J circles cheers darren
  2. Yeh just the usual switched on by a pressure switch, turns on 2 solenoids, one for air, one for water and presurisses a tank which goes to a flow control valve then to a air/water atomiser pre-turbo, never any sign of wear. was controlable from 650-900hp of water flow, but riceracing has a trick valve now that will control the same atomiser from 250-900hp, trick little valve and cheap to cheers darren
  3. 10.6 don't know?? 390rwkw??, and the 10.2 around 440-50rwkw to run 141mph. it made 470rwkw , but unfortuntely had a boost leak, should trap 143mph with that in full street trim. It's easy 9 sec mph, I only hooked the transbrake up before i left and left the wires on the ground, i pulled them out with my feet accidently at the track so it didn't work, got it working again when i got home, so next time get to use that to get the boost up to 15psi to launch, instead of 7-8psi on the footbrake. specs: Rb30 sohc Garrett GT4245 - .91 A/R / 94mm exducer (Rated to 850hp) Roller bearing turbo Turbo smart 48mm external waste gate 6Boost (Kyle) custom exhaust manifold Screamer pipe Microtech LTx12 Bosch 6 coil set up Sard 700cc injectors ARC GTR 600mm x 300mm x 100mm intercooler Tomei Head Gasket ARP Head Stud Kit LukeVL 272 camshaft (220 @.50) Adjustable cam gear JD Plenum (On n/a runners) / XF Throttle Body Ported Head (MaceRace) stock rods cast precison pistons KEAS 1000 hp powerglide, transbrake, 3500rpm stall stock diff, 3.45 gears 26x8.5 et streets water injection 470rwkw on 26psi at 6500rpm...lazy motor/pump fuel ,water injection, fullboost at 4250rpm lasted for 3 yrs with the cast pistons ans stock rods and never any less than 23psi, and up to 26psi in the end on pump fuel, but alternator stopped charging and stopped pumps nuked only 1 cast piston...lol, still have 6 good rods and 5 good pistons, good bearings and rings! could have just slapped it back together with one piston But have a new motor finished now with cp forgies, h-beam rods, big valves, big solid camshaft [email protected]", roller rockers(just released), 90mm t/b , and short runner jpc plenum, billet borg warner 70mm comp wheel in turbo, comp raised from 7.4 to 8.4 so hopefully should rev and make power to 7800-8000rpm. want to run deep into the 9's at 145mph+ (trying for 150mph)in full street trim, so i am after 550rwkw on a pump fuel, be it 98 or e85 cheers darren
  4. Ha,ha, i know what you saying!, but once you've used it you will never not be able to have it again! , then again i would never use a kit that uses a pump anyway i'm shit scared that they will stop working(because they all do, its a matter of time) the only thing to go wrong on a system using boost pressure is that a solenoid didn't switch on, but i have a light hooked up to it, to tell when it switches on cheers darren
  5. E85 1/ Add timing 2/ More timing 3/ More timing 4/ More timing 5/ More timing /peak torque 6/ More timing / lose power 7/ More timing / lose power 8/ More timing / ping Looks like water injection, i bet $100 that a proper set up water injection setup, will beat a E-85 tune!, and put less stress on a motor doing it cheers darren
  6. Yeh i think i did 1.73 60 ft on that pass, on the 10.20 60 ft was 1.77! shithouse.... should be able to get into the 1.5's next time hopefully cheers darren
  7. I ran a 10.61 at 133mph on 19psi with the 1/8 at [email protected] your moving!!! good work, makes me laugh at what a fast car was not that many years ago (110mphish over a 1/4) that now you do it at half track, ha,ha cheers darren
  8. I am going to try it , early next year, when my motors back.It something that i have planned for since it came out in the U.S. Fair few people in the states have done it, and it seems to act like C16 at least , I reckon that water injected in a decent rate + e85 would have a overall rating of near on 120 octane, and cool better than C16 So in most people cases its total and utter overkill, either use e85 , or 98 with water, i would go the later it much easier and just use straight water. The reason i want to try it, is to run 150mph in full street trim, which is hard with the auto sucking power. cheers darren
  9. I always though willalls car had the record, one jamboree they had a stocky in it after blowing one of there motors, thought it ran high 9's?, all weekend? cheers darren
  10. supra won, gtr 's lost ....it was a dynoqueen comp the end, mallala smallala...lol haven't seen blue 32/andrew since the Mark Boxer/ vl turbo days, good to see your still playing with cars beers where good matty:)
  11. Well you got the subzero part very, very wrong, so much for facts:) well done to rh9, going to hit the strip? cheers darren
  12. Don't know, i just realised it said 4508 in your post, i had 4708 in my head for some reason cheers darren
  13. a mr.turbo 76GTS with a .96 t4 housing, i would have one of them before a pos t51 garrett. Or a gt 4202 with the optional .91 T6 TA housing. Or if you still drive it on the street a lot, the gt4294 with the T6 .91 housing works well and isn't use much. Or even better the if you got a bit extra coin to spend a mr. turbo Gt70GTS with the .96 housing, comes with the billet borg warner wheel like the Precision 71GTS if you want to google that and have a read, should spool good and still make big power, nitrous will do the rest. have a read of the supras that run it, very popular turbo for street/strip. I have just converted my Gt4294 to a T6 71GTS with the addition of a borg warner billet 70/71 front wheel, Can't wait to try it http://www.billetturbochargers.com/Hottest_new_product_1.ews cheers darren
  14. Apparently not, its a different wheel and uses a 8.2mm shaft, reading on supraforums it sounds like the gt4708 comp wheel is better. As for turbonetics turbos, they were shit up till the release of the new gtk lineup with there old wheel designs, but apparently the gtk is the shit, especially if you are looking for a big single in the gt42 size range, as as a bonus i guess they use a bigger range of T4 housings instead like there oldschool gt66,72,76 etc range, so would make turbo matching easier.instead of the big T6 42 housings. I woudn't mind trying one if i was starting from scartch again cheers darren
  15. Yeh i think i need to upgrade the injectors from 700cc to 1200cc and that its 2x044's is enough and its got the big sx reg. Aslong as theres enough fuel for 550rwkw i will be happy(it made on the last street tune 470rwkw on pump and raced with 450ish before) cheers darren
  16. Sure are, a few of the heavilly cashed up 1000+hp 8 sec supra owners have bought them and they went straight into the shop for mods. Can't remember but i thought they made over 500-550rwhp on dynojet dynoes already(could be wrong and can't be bothered searching) cheers darren
  17. Wrx darren@ angela(and james:) ), ha,ha. VLT dazza is now S15 silvia dazza as of last week..lol cheers darren
  18. little man, i run a 3.5 inch dump with a 3 inch system with i muffler and a resonator muffler, its quiet. Gate is vented externally. So far on pump fuel through a powerglide its made 630rwhp and so far isn't a prob. cheers darren
