  1. If going to all that effort, just drop in a Victa!
  2. General rule of thumb- 1 extra afm for every 100kw past 200. So 3 as above
  3. assuming you are talking about a R33 S2 since you didnt actually say; try cleaning the cold start valve as well http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/410701-rb25-cold-start-valve-clean/ oh and since you had a 'tune' i guess that means you're not using the stock ecu.....? might help if you say what ecu you have too, its a pretty major mod =) Good work on putting up some useful info to get a reasonable answer though, hope you can sort it soon and let us know what it was.
  4. Hold the weight of the pump in your hand instead of resting it down on the car (so lift it up a little) and not all the way jammed in there. changes the angle the fuel goes in and doesn't trick the pump into thinking you're full.
  5. I'm a novice too and was much more confident spending $3 on a pump than removing bits and pieces and risking spillage inside my nice clean minty fresh daily =) Being someone who has not actually removed a shifter or seen this hole to pour into, i don't think either is harder than the other if you put your mind to it. I just personally dont like liquids inside my car because shit happens...
  6. I wouldn't want that smell getting inside my car. Not exactly hard to use a pump and hose to fill through the "Filler Hole"
  7. will be expecting plenty of pics and vids!!!
  8. actually its not fine, fuel gauges are not very accurate and i would hope you don't run it dry so you are really just having a wild guess. You might still have 150km of fuel left in the tank when you fill up.. best bet to record your odo and litres needed to fill up over a period of time and work it out from that.
  9. +1 for usb valve caps !!
  10. haha.. did you try doing any research? there's an awesome thread that will explain it all for you. or you could just use what you know.
  11. stock car = stock BOV. no point in paying more for something else you don't need. and props to you for doing some research first! Hope you are enjoying your Skyline, and welcome to the forum!
  12. now now, he did post at 8am and 9am as well, so he did wait 7 whole hours! Lift ya game!
  13. could even post some pics of it and someone here might be able to point out whats wrong. But check it out yourself first, its more fun that way =)
  14. HI Harry, welcome to SAU! fellow import enthusiasts are welcome no matter what side of the water they are on =) plenty of good info here for you to sink your teeth into!
  15. did you check his installation of the solenoid with the manual? its easy to put something in backwards. the stock actuator is 5psi, so its not working, if it was you'd be getting more. if you can find someone local who knows anything about boost get them to have a look at it. any car meet or something should find you someone =)
  16. Assuming it in a 33.. Your mechanic probably installed it wrong because he doesnt know what he's doing. why would you let him do it if he hasn't got a clue.... can't go past 5psi, probably just running stock actuator pressure. get your money back and go somewhere else or read the manual, should be fairly straight forward
  17. looks like it would be something needing a bit of oomph. get some leverage with those suckers.. Some sort of weird wheel lock? could even be for his garage or something else entirely.
  18. hence saying inspect every inch of the car for little holes they might fit in =) put up some pics of the car so we can throw some guesses.
  19. Looks awesome man!! Great colour selection, and nice work on the vid =)
  20. have you looked over every inch of the car to find 2 little holes?
  21. If those prongs have thread, they might be drift handles which could be mounted somewhere. My old car had a handle in the middle of the roof for the passenger to hold onto
  22. So you 'brought' it from Japan meaning you owned it over there and moved here and brought it with you? So someone within transport left them in there? or you 'bought' it from Japan and upon your first viewing of it they were there? Regardless, what sort of power outlets do Jap houses have? Almost looks like they might plug into a euro style outlet..
