  1. No In Sydney - I just rebuilt my engine (RB25DET). Used HKS gasket. I used a std gasket kit too so have std head gasket left over. PM me if you want it - It's still in the plastic and can be packaged up nicely and sent to you.
  2. OK - Good news folks. We have prices and they are VERY VERY good ! * $160 for a 2 door coupe (eg Skyline) * $170 for a 4 door (eg Commodore) * $190 for a 4WD (any type and shade of tint you like - choose on the day) * $50 to remove old tint (whole car, less if there is only one window) Now there are some conditions. * Offer valid until 16th of Feb 2004 (ie dockets will only be given out up until then) * A donation of $5-$10 to the club (SAU-NSW) is encouraged for all non-members * Dockets are valid for 2 months after issue. Logistics -------- Due to the interest in this deal - (approx 30 cars) and the cash nature, I think it is better (and easier for me) for you guys to pay the tint guy directly. So, if you are serious about getting tint through this deal - You will need to email me the following details: * Your Full Name * Your contact phone number * The type of car you want tinted * Your car rego (plates) <-- ie the car that will be tinted My e-mail address: [email protected] I will return your e-mail with: The name and contact details for the tint guy. A unique docket number (passcode or key) for each car you want tinted. Details for SAU-NSW donation for non-members I will then forward your details on to the tint guy - with the passcode/key so he can identify you and your car. Note that this deal is only open to holders of the docket numbers. You line up a time and day with the tint guy and pay him on the day for what ever you want. * Note: once you receive a docket number, you are comitted to the deal. So don't e-mail me your details above unless you are serious. The tint place is in the North Ryde / Ryde area. It would be easier and more conveinient if you went to him. He can come to you (depending on your location) but you will need to fit in with his schedule and have an appropriate area/location for him to work. It would be good if we could organise a day on the weekend, that we could get 6-7 cars down at various times during the day for a bit of a tint-day. Location & Interest pending. I hope I have covered everything. Cheers,

  16. Yes, ECR33 is the GTS-t. Yes, Tein make coilovers for ECR33 - I have some in my car. HR are the Height & Damper adjustable (I think) <-- someone correct me if I am wrong here. They are pretty heavy - I'd guess about 4 kgs a side - so 20 kgs all up. It's doubtful that the springs are worn - they are pretty good quality springs. You can get new springs for them if you need - either from Tein or King Springs can make to your specification. More likely is oil leaks, squeakyness, etc. Getting them rebuilt is pretty expensive - 500-750 I understand. Hope that helps,
  17. Yay - It's fixed. Thanks Brody !
  18. Nope - logged back in are B-Man - same thing - I don't the same options for avatar as Col Dunkley. Remember that my B-Man account is hella old !
  19. Nope - sorry dude ! Still the same for me !
  20. Jay - yep checked that pipe - it was the second thing we looked at after the wastegate actuator. Its a long story, which I will post a new thread about it later, after we have proven the theory. Suffice to say that I had a week of troubleshooting (before this) where the car was running rich as buggery. Eventually tracked this down to the setting for my AFM (Q45) being changed after I changed the battery in my car, because it died, because it had been sitting around doing nothing for so long while waiting for the engine re-build. Running rich during all the troubleshooting must have melted the cat. causing the restriction at high boost & high revs. Added to this, pieces of crap coming out the exhaust while on the dyno, it will prolly blow the whole exhaust clean off soon ha ha ha - Anyway, we found all this out at like 5:00pm Saturday and everyone was keen to pack up - so it awaits the hoist and removal of the cat for inspection tomorrow. Fingers crossed it is only the cat. And yes, I know a PFC shoudn't loose the settings for AFM when the car battery has been replaced - This bit doesn't make sense - But this was the sequence of events ... I'll be testing this out too - Maybe there is a little bug - or maybe someone changed the setting inadvertantly. Oh, well that's the whole story now....appologies Boostd for thread hi-jack.
  21. Good point Steve ! Sydneykid, can you confirm ? And what would be the additional cost associated ?? Cheers,
  22. Ben, are you going to be at the Dyno day tomorrow ??
  23. It was pretty ordinary sarcasm though don't you think ?? It's not good form to take the piss out of someone else's bad fortune. I dunno - maybe OBaYBe knows Silver ?? And they are cool with it ...??? ......
  24. No more pics at this stage of either the front facing or std plenums - I'll try to get some more up soon.
  25. I don't disagree (whoops double negative)..... Hindsight is 20:20 hey Sydneykid. I didn't think that I would need the new plenum, but I did. And yes it already had the Tomei cams in it. How much are my std RB25DET cams worth out of interest ?? How far off the mark am I with the $3000 ?? Is it more or less than you would have thought ?? Steve - which manifold do you mean ?? I think Sydneykid meant that the RB26 head came with it's original front facing plenum - so in essence the whole job lot. (Negating the need for the Greddy plenum/manifold & Tomei Cams) The other thing is all the gear I got was new - not second hand. Anyway, I think this thread was about headgaskets.....
