I'm pretty sure you will be and the other advantage is I find Aussies in general value experience and relationship more than anything else. So you'll probably end up being offered a job there (save you the trouble of looking for a job at this kinda economic situation). They hardly increase vac student's pay anyway or at least I know my company doesnt. When are you graduatiing? My company's looking for grads if you're interested.

Yea I'm with you and I know its easily attainable at a cost. Not counting the odd cases (you giving afms away), that list would be close to 4k just for material. It comes to cost. Look at Dan! He said he spend close to 20k on his car already. And for me to have that kinda money, I'll probably put it into the house or get an investment property... to each his own and maybe you're right on the injectors. I said before all these are from reading but if your experience tells you other wise I'll keep that in mind because from your personal experience (just as I did for savman's advise). Just as your view on gavin and matt (thats in my mind already so if I ever do get it retune, it will be pit).

Injectors are 90% now and highest boost 1.15bar (but seems to be 1.1 on the graph). Savman told me his are running at 98% duty, 18psi (1.2bar), 300+rwkw I think (EVERYTHING STOCK, thats including pipes, injectors, afm etc. Only had PFC and PFC boost kit). Using that as a reference, at 1.2bar you're pretty much at the limit of both injectors and afms. So yes they will have to go. Dont know much about fuel to comment. I wouldnt run 800cc after reading about efficiency, unless you have plans for further upgrades.

For starter... I dont have that much money to spend every month (homeloan took more than 50% of my pay away...) especially from doing the basic (ecu, ebc, tune) mod last month which cost 3k. I'm reading and trying to find why is it not holding boost, it seems to be narrowing down to wastegate or ebc from what I'm reading (can be others too but these 2 seems to be the highest possibility). Doesnt make sense that its running 0.6bar before the tune which points to wastegate/actuator (after some reading). I think the exhaust is good enough (http://www.nengun.com/trust-greddy/power-extreme-ti-r). I agree with what you're saying about the agressive tuning but the fact remains its not holding boost above 1.15bar which means I need to solve that before doing with anything else. If I'm gonna want more power out of the car, I will have to do the following; 1) 555cc injectors 2) AFM 3) new ebc 4) cam (I might consider doing this if theres not too much $ involved) 5) fuel pump (do I need it? I dont even know what am I having or is there an "N1" fuel pump thats suppose to be in there) 6) retune Do the math and thats not gonna be cheap! And better still, if I decided to get 700cc injectors, I might be getting wastegates change + dumps too which is gonna add up. I'm selling the dumps I bought for now, which means its the end of the mod disease for me and only thing left to mod are the suspension and clutch if that ever fails. The car feels really good to drive now and I'm pretty with it now. So.. stop spreading the virus to me! I'm happy with my 255awkw GTBOAT!

How Much Does It Cost To Change The Clutch
Brandon replied to boabaolin's topic in General Maintenance
Have you brought it to the mechanics yet? Whereabout are you located? Maybe someone can point you to the right workshop. -
Thanks Duncan. Maybe thats why I'm not getting the 1.2 which I asked for during the tune... its stabilising at 1.1-1.15.
-
Interesting... I wonder why was the boost set that low for my case...
-
Time to revive the thread. Just got mine tuned and to my surprise, my 33 was running 0.6bar... hence explaining why I'm not very impressed by it initially. Its running 1.1-1.15 currently.

Carizma Or J-spec?
Brandon replied to jetblack's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
I believe you wouldnt go wrong with these 2. Call them both up and have a chat, see which makes you more comfortable. Have you search locally? Unless you're looking for something very specific or rare, maybe you want to see whats available locally before venturing out. Although you might get lucky with the current exchange rate and get something decent for a few grands cheaper. -
Help Understanding The Boost Gauge Reading (r33gtsts2)
Brandon replied to Torques's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I dont think you want your turbo to be on all the time when you're cruising at 4500rpm... -
Yea, they're not fun to maintain. I'll have to clean them every week to keep them white. Gonna have to buy new Nismo decals for them too. If you cant be bothered cleaning, bronze is definately the colour to get. The bronze Work I had were perfect for that. You cant even tell if its dirty unless you're right in front of them.

Erm.. I thought LMGT4s and TE37 are pretty similiar in price arent they? But I heard they stop making the LMGT4s. Go on the Rays Engineering website and they have the full list of offset for clearing the brakes and the offsets for different cars. Stick with that and you cant go wrong. +1. Unless you're doing up the car for show if not stick with 18s. If you're getting 18 TE37, get 18" x 10.5 +22 and they'll look awesome. My LMGT4s are 18" x 9.5 +15 with 285/35 tyres. Have a look in the garage page if you're interested in photos of the car.
