Megashifter In A Skyrine?
~R33AzzA~ replied to sxc33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
At Howie's request, Here is the link to a video of my ratchet shifter getting used. The switch to the right of the shifter is 4th gear, which is usually the o/d button on your stock T-bar. Cheers to my brother for the camera work lol. Let me know what you think. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAQGCmSEfDU -

Mv Auto's Shift Kit
~R33AzzA~ replied to ~R33AzzA~'s topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I got mine off an sau member who was going to manual, I got it all for $560 in the car. I saved alot of money fitting it myself. The normal price is around the $1000 mark. My mate is instaling this kit in the next few weeks. Value for money I am very happy, my last 33 was manual, I had a cusion button clutch in it and I chewed thru that in 10 months. Apparently these actually make ur box last longer as there is very little slip between gears. (as mike from MV explained to me) -

Yer it depends on the shifter. I got mine off an sau member though, so maybe he chose to get the one that is the push forward to shift up type.?? Ne way I love it, and once I have my new AFM I will be able to fully enjoy it again. Leave some feedback on the video too -
I got 0.32 on my first try. After a few shots I got 23 seconds..

Hi mate, I have an internet filter at work so I can't see the pic. Is the bar m spec? (the one with the mouth that usually gets chopped out) If so, do you have the mesh inserts for each side at the bottom? Cheers -

Mv Auto's Shift Kit
~R33AzzA~ replied to ~R33AzzA~'s topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yes I installed both the black box and valve body at the same time. You can run just the valve body and let the stock ecu do the shifting for you. I don't have any incar footage but I will record some on my phone, PM me your mobile number and ill send it tho you. -
Mv Auto's Shift Kit
~R33AzzA~ replied to ~R33AzzA~'s topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
At what ever you like, it is a full manual without a clutch now. For daily driving it will be low rpm changes, and if I choose to put my foot down I can hold it as long as I want, as soon as I hit the shifter it engages the next gear. -
Cheers for the replys. Yes I was talking about the solenoid which controls the boost, hence standard boost control. Ne way I set it up for him so he could run the standard solenoid with the earth mod so it runs 7 lbs constant. Did it today and it's pretty good mod.

Mv Auto's Shift Kit
~R33AzzA~ replied to ~R33AzzA~'s topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
There are some pics of my setup in this link, and others aswell. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Me...mp;hl=shift+kit I was lucky enough to get my full kit off an sau member who was selling off cheap. I got the whole kit for $560. Insalation is easy, when MV send out the parts they give you simple easy to follow insructions. It took 3 hours to put my whole kit in and I have never touched an auto tranny before. The end result is a mega hard shift and instant responce, as soon as I select the next gear it engages, not like the standard shift where it lags for a half second or so. -
The exhaust wheel on an R33 turbo is direcly conected to the shaft that runs threw the core. The rear wheel cannot be repaced without removing the shaft from the core.

Its actually a combo of both. I have the valvebody mod plus I have a the black box from MV which is basicly fully manulises the auto. And yes I have a rachet shifter. -
These parts would be in your intercooler end tank. I would think it very unlikly that they made it threw the rows of your cooler, I would remove the cooler and check the end tank (pressure side). G/L

R33 Clutch Upgrade, Which One?
~R33AzzA~ replied to bokee's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I had a exedy cusion button in my last 33 and that would chirp 3rd to 4th, but it only lasted 12 months and it was gone. But when you let off the clutch pedal you certenly knew about it... When i first picked up the car i stalled it as soon as i tryed to drive off. lol -
I have installed the manualised shift kit in my 33 a few months ago and I love it. My only dislike is 3rd (having no engine break). Apart from this its insane. One of my mates recently decided to buy an auto over a manual purely for this setup. who else has it and what are your likes/dislikes.
