  1. Hugh, I've been told there's a grommet under the dash near the accelerator pedal, and if you take the front driver's side wheel off and pull off the splash guard, you should be able to feed your wiring through there. That's where I'll feed my cables through for my Defi's when I FINALLY wire them up.
  2. Spotted James "lingeringsoul" not far from home as he left to drive down to Canberra for the Texikhana. Solo trip
  3. Sam and Greg, I'll PM you my mobile number now, you're welcome to join us from Abbott Rd in Seven Hills, we'll be meeting around 4.30 or 5pm. I have to go and pick up the BBQ around Guildford somewhere, and the Coasties are coming down to meet us here - easy access to the M7 from here.
  4. What time are you working until, Wayne? And what time are you planning to leave home?
  5. If you're willing to wait for the arvo run, Matt, I live in Toongabbie and can meet you at the above-mentioned Caltex/Hungry Jacks on Abbott Road.
  6. We could go to Civic and jam up the bus station with Skylines...
  7. Looks like they've taken the standard Stagea wheel off and replaced it with an R34 GTR wheel - it's still got an air bag in it tho.
  8. Ewwww, early morning wake-up? No thanks! I'm with you guys then! Do you all have E-tags or similar?
  9. OK, I'm heading down to the Texikhana on Saturday, and I'd like to know who's planned what as far as meeting points and times are concerned. There is a Hungry Jacks (Burger King, or whatever), Caltex and Red Rooster in the one complex just at the beginning of Abbott Road as you come off the M2. I live right near the end of the M2 in Seven Hills, and I figure that this spot would be a good meeting point for those coming from the North Shore and Central Coast, as well as those living in and around the Hills area. So: Who is coming this way? Who has a toll tag of some description? Who wants to use the Cumberland Highway, and meet at Krispy Kremes or the big Bunnings in Casula? Who would prefer instead to use the M7? It cuts an easy 30mins off your travel time as opposed to using the Cumberland Highway. What time shall we meet? Who is driving solo in their cars (like me)? Chubbs? TJ? Wayne and Kasey? Jase? Anna? Jess? Greg (v_s_p_e_c)? James (lingeringsoul)? Jen and Nige? Please bring hand-held CB radios for road trip fun!
  10. YUM! *drools*
  11. TV-Links has the first two episodes up too, not sure how good they are quality-wise, but I'm about to find out. I guess I'll have to use YouTube to see the other episodes for now.
  12. Happy birthday, Sammeh!
  13. Absolutely! AFAIK, it's compulsory that child restraint anchorage points are fitted to a car as part of the SEVS compliance process, and my car has them in the roof. Quite a few of the owners here have kids and bought a Stagea for this reason, given their versatility over a Skyline.
  14. Agreed, especially seeing as we could get a better idea of the number of Stageas really on the roads here in Oz. Maybe they don't realise how much help we are to each other, and could also be to them if they encounter any problems with such a unique car in Australia.
  15. That looks great, John! And with the green s1, it's as if mine was there in spirit...
  16. Cool, thanks again everyone!
  17. Dude, my floor mat is tucked UNDER the centre console, so it should still fit either with a bit of persuasion or by lifting up the console a bit and then re-installing it. I'll show you next weekend.
  18. Sweet, this sounds like the go then!
  19. Hey Andrew, like everyone has said, it's sad to hear you're thinking of selling up. Is it not worth keeping the car when you move to Bathurst? I'll be in Canberra (well, staying in Queanbeyan) next weekend, as I'm helping out with the SAU-NSW Texikhana at the Sutton Road complex.
  20. Pre- or post-pay, James?
  21. James, if you're still living in Seven Hills, I was chatting to the Coasties last night and we might meet up at one of the servo's on Abbott Rd (most likely the Caltex/Hungry Jacks/Red Rooster), then jump back on the M7 to head down in a group. It's convenient for me (and you?), and they can just jump off the M2 and meet us there. Where abouts do you live, Greg? If you're in the Hills, meet us as above, maybe? I'll be solo too (at this stage), so I wouldn't mind a passenger too.
  22. Thanks for the replies, gents. I'm getting the 044 at a REALLY good price, so I figured I might as well upgrade now with plenty of room to move in the future should I decide to go over the usual modification path. I'm hoping that the bracket doesn't have to be modified too much, but I'm guessing the 044 is physically larger than the factory pump. As far as cables for the gauges go, that looks like a nice option, Duncan. I want to avoid drilling holes if I can. Either way, I'm not looking forward to hunting under the dash and carpet for where the hole(s) is going to be.
  23. Hmmm, as above, I've got two questions for those in the know... 1. I'm getting a Bosch 044 in a few weeks time to replace my dying standard pump, and I'm wondering how hard/easy it is to mount it in the tank, and what I would require to put it in and wire up a nice fat power feed; and 2. I still haven't bothered to wire up my gauges, basically because I haven't yet found a good place to feed the wires through the firewall. Can anyone suggest a spot (or two) in particular? I've got the boost, oil pressure and oil temp sensors on the intake (driver's) side of the bay, and exhaust temp sensor feed on the other side. Thanks in advance!
  24. Here's mine, in RWD mode...
  25. That's the RS4 model, Adam. The old RS4 (same model as Haysey's, the B5, but with higher-spec everything on the 2.7TT V6) had 280kW flywheel. The newer (and still current) B6-series S4 has the new 4.0l V8 and cranks out 253kW at the flywheel, and the RS4 has 309kW. Strange fact about the new Audi V8 motors as used in the S4/RS4: they use a timing chain, but it's at the BACK of the motor to make it shorter so it fits in the engine bay.
