  1. Assuming you haven't done anything to risk your license yet, then don't go doing any of this:
  2. Brycey, if you're keen to come down to a Coasties meet, I can show you my set-up - they're still not hooked up, but I have the gauges in there. I just have to find the time to run all the sensors and plug them in. Basically, you'll need a piece of plastic roughly 180x60x10mm - the width and height you can file down later, and the thickness is good so you can screw it in to the bracket that holds the stereo/climate control in (assuming you're going to mount it in there like I have).
  3. There are about 4 threads on this topic going at the moment - if the search function isn't working, please at least have a quick scan of the threads that are open to see f there's anything that answers your questions. I had a look through, and the first thread on page 2 of these threads was this, another thread showed someone who had fitted 350Z wheels, which also had info about wheel and tyre fitting, and page 3 revealed this and this.
  4. If you want black-face gauges, Bryce, there are a few options. Autobarn sell some (I think), then there are the JustJap ones (are these the AutGauge ones?), Saber gauges, and ProSport ones from Lynx Corporation (who are in Erina!). Unfortunately, the Defi's don't come in BlackFace in the 52mm ones - otherwise I would have got those too. My boost gauge is going in the clock-replacement pod, so I got a BlackFace for that (in 60mm) because it will pretty much be in plain view, and I like my stealth... Avoids break-ins too, hopefully.
  5. Hmmmmmm... Flying under the radar again?
  6. Bah, what have I done? SAU has gone all Shakespearian! Worry, thou must. Thy journey on the downward spiral hath begun.
  7. 'Cos no-one else is saying it, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DUNCAN!!! Four birthdays in two days, August is looking to be a busy month in the SAU hood...
  8. Holden Captiva? The downward spiral begins...
  9. No thanks Dale, I'm not a fan of the woodgrain look. There are some cars that it suits, but it really depends on the wood they use (or copy, if it's plasti-wood), and how and where they use it...
  10. Do you happen to have a grey centre console surround, the part that goes around the climate control, stereo, etc?
  11. That's the beauty of the Stagea - who really expects to see a brick launching off the lights (thanks to ATTESA), and the cops don't even give you a second glance (except in a "WTF is that thing?" kinda way).
  12. Series 2 Stagea RS4S (or series 1 converted to manual)! The series 2 might be a touch beyond budget though, but is supremely practical, powered by the RB25DET (R33 s2 power in the s1 Stagea, or R34 Neo-spec power in the s2 Stagea), is at least easier to work on than the V6 Legnum/Galant (and probably more reliable), has huge aftermarket support (mostly Skyline running gear). ...but I'm biased.
  13. Happy birthday, Gents! And Tinks, that's my photo.. 'sif steal my thunder Corinne...
  14. It's official! Happy Birthday, Boys!!!
  15. AFAIK, all the RB motors should use the same filter...
  16. Spotted a blue R32 GTSt on the way home from the city last night/this morning - had two girls in it I think, and the plates were AA-03-MI or something similar... Also spotted a tool in a white turbo VL on his green P's, tailgaiting cars and just being a dick down Parramatta Road and the M4, then he pulled off at Silverwater Rd and turned left towards Auburn McD's.
  17. Hahaha, "Orgies" - what a perfect number plate for a wagon like a Stagea!
  18. That's right - it's a constantly variable system and is mostly in RWD unless traction is lost, at which point it moves drive to the front wheels.
  19. I agree with Mitch too, I never really liked them on GT-Rs, so I wouldn't subject my Stagea to them if I had a 260RS front bar. I think they look like an afterthought. But this is pretty much a matter of personal opinion and taste.
  20. Yep, we've created a DIY section with stuff borrowed from the Skyline DIY sections where it's the same between the cars, and specific threads for our cars. The stereo DIY is here...
  21. Hump de bump
  22. Mine came with factory tweeters in the a-pillars, so I just removed them, ran new wires, and put the Boston ones in place of the old ones.
  23. Once you remove the console section where the shifter and ashtray is, and remove the section where the two centre air vents are at the top of the dash, then the console bit that holds your stereo and AirCon controllers is very easy to remove. There's a DIY section specifically for us Stagea owners, and it has a tutorial for stereo removal and replacement. Yes, there is room for two single-DIN units, or one double-DIN.
  24. That's pretty much right, Greg. Woverine's car is a factory s2 manual, so it has a slightly different rear suspension set-up. It's (if I remember correctly) basically R33 GT-R gear, with a factory LSD, stronger driveshafts, and fork-type ends on the bottom of the shocks, instead of the loop-type ends (for want of better words - I can't think of the proper term at the moment) like all the s1's and the s2 auto versions. I believe the 260RS versions (both s1 and s2) had the fork-type rear shocks too.
