  1. We love you because you *think* you're cool, and therefore we let you get away with it... PUSH!!! :laughing-smiley-014:
  2. I agree Dale, but then again there's no use having massive load space if it's not available to use. Two weeks after I got my car back in '05, I made two trips to the airport to pick up relo's from overseas. Even the space behind the rear strut towers gets used if you have a large enough load or lots of things to carry, so I'm only willing to give up one side of these when I eventually have a sub installed in the back. Stealth FTW, right?!?!?!
  3. Hey Stu, nice result. No worries about meeting up this morning, it's all good. Yeah, that's me getting the trial fitting done on my car - I've got the JustJap combined split dump/front pipe going on mine, and seeing as a few people have had some issues getting theirs on their cars, I figured I'd best get them to do a test-fit first so I can either get a refund or sell it if indeed it doesn't go on. I'll be getting a baseline dyno run done first, then if all goes well, the new dump pipe will be getting drilled for an exhaust temperature probe to be fitted, then the install, then a quick run on the dyno again to see if any gains have been made. I'm not really expecting much of a power gain, as I haven't yet got any way of tweaking ignition, fuel or anything else. All my car has is a 3" cat-back exhaust and a manual box (which should provide a minor gain in itself due to slightly less slippage). If I get improved response, then I'm quite happy for now. Suspension tweaks are next, then the hunt for an FMIC and computer.
  4. Your best bet is probably the Sydneykid set-up, as posted here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t=0&start=0
  5. Spotted and chatted to Donut Dave today @ UAS.
  6. Renewed my rego last week, and mine lists as 1,658kgs.
  7. 33yo, no wife or g/f, no kids, family dog but she only goes in it on the occasional trip to the vet. Had the car almost two years now, bought it because I've always had a thing for sedans and wagons - no-one really expects a performance-oriented car when they see it has more than two doors... I was contemplating a 4-door R32, but they're just a bit too old.
  8. What time are you going there, Stu? I live just around the corner from UAS and have also just booked my car in for some work there (for early next week), so I might come along, meet you and see how your car runs...
  9. Stagea FTW!!!!111!!!!11ty!!! Mine's been off the road for a few days here and there because I HAVEN'T DRIVEN IT ANYWHERE!!! So far so good, the only thing that's happened is when I blew the turbo not long after I bought it, which is closing in on 2yrs ago now. Hoping to have some things done to it this week, so it'll likely be off the road and NOT at home for maybe a few days.
  10. Was good, Ian (StageIan) came up too, and he's gonna try and come along more often too.
  11. Compressor blades are most likely to get trapped in the intercooler, and turbine blades in the cat converter.
  12. Sometimes, also Vic, it could be something as minor as the regulator on the alternator. Have that checked too, see if you can borrow one to compare as per Chris' method above.
  13. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=164936 DON'T FORGET that you'll need to keep the same rolling diameter front and rear, otherwise you'll stuff up your transfer case. That'll be an expensive repair!
  14. Like I mentioned above, Ian, having a good-sized rear window and an almost vertical tailgate helps heaps. You know that if there's roughly 2ft to the rear window from a wall, that roughly half of that should be left for the bumper. Of course, if you're gonna open the tailgate later to get the shopping in or whatever, don't forget to leave more room.
  15. I'd change it if doing the conversion myself, as Dale said the auto brake pedal would be in the way when you push the clutch in. Mine's been converted to manual (before I bought it) and it has the manual brake pedal in it.
  16. Who's coming tonight?
  17. The Stagea has a pretty decent turning circle considering the fact that there are drive-shafts running to the front wheels too (unless you go for a RWD version). I came from a Corolla, and my old man still has a 2003 Camry. The turning circle on the Corolla was great (obviously, because it was a small car), but the Camry's turning circle is worse than my car's... One thing with the Stagea is the rear overhang, but what's good is that the rear window is almost vertical, so it's pretty easy to judge how much room you have behind you if you reverse park into a spot. It's also good because it makes the load area much more useful, compared to a hatchback or a wagon with a steeply-sloping rear window area.
  18. Agreed on both counts...
  19. You weren't parked near overhead power lines too (the big ones, I mean), were you Yudy? I've noticed that the magnetic fields from those heavy-duty power lines sometimes interfere with the signal from the remote to the alarm...
  20. Usually Erina Fair.
  21. hahaha, call it "Celica"
  22. So I'm guessing they all have bad backs, hence the beaded seat covers that are/were so popular with them?
  23. You've probably scared him off, Joe, hence the trip to NZ - the skiing is just a bonus! Probably as therapy...
