  1. Nope, wasn't me, mate. The only places I went on Tuesday was all done in my old man's Audi - went to Hornsby and then Chatswood, so nowhere near where the M7 and M4 meet... Could this mean my car has a twin in Sydney?
  2. Ouch dude, that really sucks to hear! I hope you can get something back from the insurer and that the cops can match those prints successfully.
  3. Hey James, welcome to SAU, and especially the Stagea section of the forums! Like everyone has said already, don't pump the boost up beyond 12psi if you want it to last for any length of time, and make sure the first mod is a decent exhaust from the turbo back (with at least a hi-flow cat). If you state your location, it'll be easier for us to point you in the direction of who to see as far as recommended workshops, tuners and stores for your area.
  4. At the truck stop, Doof?
  5. Awesome shot, Sammeh!
  6. I agree with Luke, riding a button clutch is worse for it. I bought my car with one installed by the previous owner, and the key is to ride it LESS. Give it a little bit more revs on take off, and ease it out a bit more quickly. If you get it right and get used to it, it shouldn't stall - there's enough torque in an RB25 or RB26 to get the car moving along without the engine dying. I rode mine a few weeks ago trying to get a quick take off on a steep hill, and it shook the car so badly the CD jumped...
  7. Hmmm, I'm guessing that if you're still using the standard turbo, it might have spat a ceramic blade (or part of one)... If you want to investigate, then when the engine is cold one day, pull the cat converter off and see if there are any fragments of the blades in there.
  8. Awesome job, as per usual, Eric!!!
  9. I've bought nothing for my car, but plan on spending a little bit in the new year to get the stereo working more to my liking. I'll also add cruise control and get the power windows working with the (already installed) alarm too. I should have done the window control straight away when I had the alarm installed... Meh, oh well.
  10. Constructive criticism: there's no real focus point in the photos (which is, admittedly, pretty hard to set at night). That and the camera shake wouldn't have helped. Also, the trees on the bottom-left of the photos take up too much of the shot. If you do have a tripod but not a cable release, the next best thing to use when you've composed your shot is the self-timer on the camera itself. Put your camera on the tripod, set the timer to 10sec, compose the photo, and then trigger it to shoot. The 10sec margin should give the tripod and camera plenty of time to settle any movement before the actual shot is taken.
  11. The whole idea and effect of tilt-shift is pretty cool. Never tried it myself, but (assuming it's not too hard to do) I would be aiming to get the car and the crowd into focus, not the foreground in front of where the car is heading. My CC contribution: you left the keyboards/drum machine/bongos out in this shot...
  12. I was looking on SRCD tonight, and spotted news of a 1:10 scaled, R34-fronted Stagea shell for Remote Control cars. It's kinda tempting now to buy myself an RC car to put that body on... http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/kisira_kennzi/folder/1755662.html
  13. Merry Christmas, (Ho Ho) Ho's and MoFo's!
  14. In a street car, it's not really worth it. The air we breath (and therefore gets pumped into your tyres) has quite a lot of Nitrogen in it anyway, so if they're making you pay for it, don't bother. The main reason they add Nitrogen to tyres is so that the pressure stays balanced over a greater range of temperatures, so if you're not going out to regularly track-thrash your car, the tyres you're using will not really require it. With street driving, just remember to always check your pressures when the tyres are cold, and if you can't do that, then allow an extra 5psi or so over what your cold temps should be...
  15. Not really, unfortunately... Got a lighter socket in your car still, Joe? There are plenty of transformer/power packs for laptops that just plug straight in.
  16. That's the right attitude, mate! My motto is "hope for the best, but prepare for the worst." That way, you're both less likely to be deterred from a downturn in the prognosis, but better mentally prepared to overcome it. As far as seeing doctors goes, I've gotta say I've been very fortunate in my life. A majority of the doctors I've seen over the years have been at or near the top of their field, and great people to boot! We're pretty lucky in Australia to have some of the best practitioners in the world. Like I said before, there are plenty of people who've gone above and beyond what any medical practitioner has forseen for their recovery, and I wish you all the best that you can be one of those people!
  17. Hot!!! Four-door '32 and a couple of '31s for good measure.
  18. Ouch, Micah, that's terrible news - sorry to hear. Like everyone else has said, I'd suggest you hold off for quite a while before you make a firm decision on whether to sell it or not, because having only just found out the news about your back and neck, it's probably playing heavily on your emotions and you might make a rash decision you'll regret later on. Because it has emotional and sentimental value, this would be a major factor to consider. As far as your future health is concerned, we've all heard of people who've overcome major health issues and/or injuries to come out on top and push the limits even further - what's to say you won't be one of those people?
  19. Spotted a new Ferrari California turning onto Parramatta Road from Frederick Street in Croydon/Ashfield on Sunday afternoon, around 6pm.
  20. That 32 GTR-fronted 180SX is odd... Here's some from Saturday when I went to the Powerhouse Museum. Cloud cover looked realy cool, so I fired off some snaps.
  21. Mitch, please stop bumping this thread... If you want to do it in your actual "For Sale" thread, that's fine, but not in this section please...
  22. Looks good - I LOVE the R33 GTR wheels on the '32 shell!
  23. GoldZilla

    R35 Gtr's!

Wow, lucky you! But surely if you can afford 4 of them, you could have chosen them in different colours, right??? LOL
  24. Yep, Hills does have a 4WD dyno...
