  1. Yep, jeans and a shirt are fine, PJ. I've just PM'd you my mobile number. Same for you, Aggroman David...
  2. Thanks, man! I love the way they look too, and have had nothing but positive comments from others as well. Hmm, if I'd found a set of R33 GT-R rims at the right price, I'd probably have a set of those on my car instead of the V35 rims. I would REALLY have loved a set of bronze RAYS CE28N's or RE30's, but I couldn't find a used set at a price I was willing to pay, and justify the cost of a new set... Absolutely - a good tyre is mandatory!!! There's absolutely no use in spending on power mods and better suspension and brakes if you don't get back to the fundamentals of having decent grip to make the most of it all.
  3. You *might* have to get the rear guards rolled, but that's a minor issue. I've got 18x8 +30's on my car with 245/40 tyres, and it rubbed a little bit on occasion when I had loads or hit sharp bumps, but since I've had the guards rolled it's been fine.
  4. They'll be fine, there are plenty of Stageas with them on, and they look great!
  5. JZX100 Chaser, manual on RE30's or CE28N's.
  6. Good work, Chris! Added to DIY section...
  7. LOL!!! I've carried a shitload of full (I think roughly 65litre) containers of bits and pieces when the business my sister was working for was moving from a factory unit to the boss's house. I think I had about 5 of them, plus about 6 smaller ones on top and in between, plus a whole lot of loose stuff in between those too. When we do SAU-NSW events, because I handle all the merchandise (shirts, caps, etc.), I regularly carry two 38litre boxes across the back behind the (unfolded) seats, and three 55litre boxes across the length of the boot behind the strut towers, and can still pull the luggage cover over the top so nothing shows from outside. I'll have to take a shot next time I do it...
  8. Oh well, Mark. Shame a $20 part can ruin a day, but at least you know you were setting some good times out there! Yeah, that's gotta suck! All in all, it looked like a good day, and as a spectator i had a pretty good time too! I'll be posting up some photos of Mark (mlr) and the two Matts (MBS206 and Cassbo), as well as a few other cars that caught my eye during the day, when I get a chance.
  9. Yep, small turbos on the "Legumes," and any servicing work would be a PITA to do - replacing spark plugs is apparently a job which requires removing the inlet manifold. FAIL!
  10. I did, PJ. It's pretty easy to find - it's on the corner of Pacific Highway and Mowbray Road. Google Maps is your friend, but we can meet up beforehand if you wish to head in together...
  11. Nah, the Stageas are for seating, but here's the REAL plan: Duncan and I can bring a NUMBER of tables along if required. *yells out "PARTY OVER HERE!!!"* Jealous yet, Matt? Maybe you should change MBS206 to NVSofStageaOwners???
  12. How about I park the LOLvo in the middle of the beer garden at The Northern?
  13. LOL!!! I have a LOLvo, so I can carry just about as many "defensive tools" as I want! But f*ck it, I believe in Karma, so whoever does this kind of thing to me will get it back eventually, and probably worse (hopefully) if I'm not even at fault for their road rage in the first place!
  14. Anyone else? C'mon kids - it , it would be good to see some more of you out there supporting your local club's events! Even if you come and spectate, it would be great. That way, you could see how much fun Duncan and I are having in our cars and want to come along to the next ones!!!
  15. Shall we make it a bit closer to the actual Texi venue this time?
  16. Wasn't me... I haven't been up to Qld in way too long.
  17. Lepperfish, your first pictue reminds me of Assassin's Creed. Looks great!
  18. Absolutely, Reuben! I go just about every week, so I'll most likely be along.
  19. Ahh, crap - there goes my chance of winning anything... I might have to come for another spin with you Duncan, this time in the Stagea, to see how the new motor is.
  20. Spotted a white M35 Axis on the F3 and cruised with it from Hornsby up to where I exited at the Berowra turn-off. Rego was HK-12-something-something, pink or red plate with white letters & numerals. Also spotted Luke (fat-lad) and Kacey (Coastal_Chill) in their Honda, with Ian (Xmetal) tagging along, and Brendan and Ana (Brendan&Ana) in their blue M35 at the Coastie Cruise tonight.
  21. I wonder what a front C10 cut would look like on the old "bullet-side" Datsun ute.
  22. Oi, back in your box Shan! Oh yeah, I remember seeing that on your car Eddie, it's cool that it even has the Stagea emblem in the middle of it too!
  23. Yep, the last thing you want is an airbag going off in your face while you attach the steering wheel. You will NOT have any time to react if it does go off, and it COULD potentially kill you if you're close enough to the steering wheel at the time - scary, but true.
  24. Once again, SAU-NSW is holding our "Texikhana - Skids on Sunday" event at the old HMAS Nirimba runways, which is now Nirimba TAFE, in Quakers Hill (near Blacktown). It's a skidpan day, mostly medium-speed stuff (you *might* hit around 120km/h on the go-to-whoa, but the rest is slalom or technical challenge stuff), it's a safe environment (get your speed thrills in an off-the-street event), and it's TONNES of fun! I've just entered my car, and would LOVE for some other NSW Stagea owners to come along and give me some competition on the day. Details are here, but the basics say that you'll need a helmet, long non-flammable clothing (long sleeve shirt/t-shirt, long pants, enclosed shoes), a small 900g or 1kg fire extinguisher, a safe car (cars will be inspected for noise, and loose objects in the cabin - anything that can become a loose projectile MUST be removed), and a track licence (which can be obtained on the day). Cost is $45 for SAU-NSW financial members, or $60 for non-financial members... Want an idea of what went on at the first one we held at this venue??? Come along peoples, it'll be a blast!!!
  25. Alright, first cruise up to the Coast for the new year - I'm going, and Brendan&Ana, Luke (fat-lad) and Kacey (Coastal_Chill) will be there, along with Xmetal Ian. Who else? I KNOW that there are heaps of new owners of Stageas here in NSW, so who's keen to come along?
