  1. Nice find, Cam!
  2. I'm working on convincing my old man to get a PM35, so we can have the best of both worlds here at home. I've owned my C34 s1 for over 4 years now, and I love every minute I spend in the car (unless I'm really tired, in which case the stiff suspension and heavy clutch are a bit of a pain). But thanks to Ian (zei20l), I managed to drive an M35 about a year ago(?) and I have to admit that I loved it, despite the auto box. Very smooth, generally quiet until you give the throttle a good shove (then it makes a great sound), very refined and very modern in the interior. I won't say that I don't prefer one over the other - making a choice really depends on what kind of driving I would be doing on any particular day. Long trips and just generally cruising around, I'd take an M35. Going for a thrash, track day or motorkhana, then my C34 has proven to be lots of fun - my favourite thing is suprising people with how well it goes out on the few odd track/khana days that I've been to.
  3. LOL, chill out, gents... There goes that out the window... Family BBQ, anyone?
  4. There are plenty of ways to get to Unigroup (Unit 17/17a Amax Avenue, Girraween, 2145) and not hit a single toll. In fact, if you do go through a toll gate on the way from Richmond to Girraween, you probably went the super-long tourist way.
  5. If the CV joint boot arrives on time, I'll most likely be changing that on Friday with the help of the old man, and I might use that chance to remove the driveshaft as well...
  6. Much better, mate! Good work! Where was that? I'm thinking I might try the parking lot at Rouse Hill Town Centre shops if I'm out that way one night and the carpark is still open.
  7. Nice buy, Chris! Welcome to the Stagea ownership world! Japlink have been around for ages, so you shouldn't have too many troubles with them, AFAIK.
  8. I think that's the idea, Mick...
  9. I think the front guards are too wide for the rest of the body for it to work well. *Maybe* if they'd used GTSt front guards instead of GTR, it would look neater.
  10. Wow, where did you find this, Mike? Are there more shots of it?
  11. Hey people, SAU-NSW is having our first Dyno Day of the year this weekend, starting at around 3pm and going into the night. The dyno there is only a 2WD one, but if you're bringing a Stagea, R33 GTR or GTS4, or R34 GTR or GT4, then drop your front driveshaft and come and have a run! The venue is Unigroup Engineering, the address is Unit 17 of 17a Amax Avenue, Girraween. (Amax Avenue is parallel to the Great Western Highway, and the workshop is less than 5mins from the highway itself.) Best access to Amax Avenue is via Girraween Road (where the big Caltex Servo is, then turn first left into Amax), or via Toongabbie Road (where there's a set of lights and Fox Hills Golf Club, then turn first right into Amax). http://maps.google.com.au/maps/place?cid=1...UYUUCn43qSDc-mg You can get more details from the link in my signature. Come along, even if it's just for a look and a chat to fellow SAU members.
  12. Oh yeah... Bloody Americans...
  13. Or you could buy a factory RWD Stagea (series 2 only) and use that, and that saves you from changing the whole front suspension structure.
  14. Yep, but if you're using the Canon software included with the camera (it's called "Zoom Browser EX), then the images in RAW format will show. Windows Photo Gallery/Viewer won't show the RAW files at all, as far as I know.
  15. Who else is keen to come along???
  16. Yep, that is an AWESOME shot, Sidd!
  17. LOL - Craig, what are you doing helping the "Mexicans?" Soon they'll take us for fools and want to cross the border...
  18. Here's what all you Sydney-based Stagea owners missed out on AGAIN - I seem to be the only one who's interested in throwing my car around a track or motorkhana circuit event. YOU ALL SUCK!!! Why am I always the only one with a Stagea at our events? These photos are courtesy of Xmetal, who also needs to get his butt back into a Stagea as soon as he possibly can afford to... Look at the body roll - I need to set the rear swaybar to the stiffer setting!
  19. Have you installed the Canon software for it? I'd use that and see if you still have the same problems. And like Sidd mentioned, are you using a card reader, or putting the SD card straight into the card slot on the laptop (assuming it has one)?
  20. Agreed, on both counts - great photos, nice car, but that GTR badge has got to go...
  21. Actually, that makes me think of something. Matt, to get more "pop" in your photos, either bump up the saturation in Post-Processing of the photos, and/or try taking the car to an environment with more contrasting colours. Because your car is a light silver colour, you need to find a background with more colour than "concrete grey" - even if some of the pylons are painted in more colours, it could just be enough...
  22. This is entirely possible, sadly. You wanna know why? It's because: I agree it's all about the attitude the person being pulled over has about the whole situation, but what's to say a cop won't just issue a fine because they are having a bad day. Yes, it's unprofessional and shouldn't happen, but it can, and sometimes does!
  23. Unit 17/17a Amax Avenue, Girraween, 2145. Amax Avenue is literally 2mins from (and parallel to) the Great Western Highway. Unigroup Engineering
