  1. hey guys looking for R32 89 drivers seat as mine seems to be a bit sad (oops weight). potentially looking for passengers too if its a set and in damn good condition, but... probably not unless its a good price
  2. OK so apparently tickets/suspensions etc only count once, hence the 2 I had completely don't count for this years. That, coupled with dropping to rating 1, explains why it dropped so much. Go figure!
  3. Just got a letter from justcar, im moving up to rating 1 and the new insurance is $98.09/month. That is with $1100 adjust excess. My previous was $221/month, I'm assuming rating 2 (need to find the paperwork), and again with $1100 (I think) adjust excess, does that seem like a huge drop to anyone? I'm not sure if I was overcharged before, or if its just combination of going to rating 1 (had this car insured for 1 year now), and some tickets/suspension dropping off or something?
  4. i've got a clutch industries in my 32gtr, is so light its weird. clamp force ought to handle your power.
  5. Wooo new clutch is weird. Almost no pedal strength required, and a bit further back to the firewall. I can't feel any friction point which made it fun to get used to, no bunnyhopping or stalling though even though my friend did
  6. HICAS reset as in yea the light was still on and I think some weird feeling in the car was there, but they reset and now light off and I *think* that made it drive better but hard to tell. Clutch definitely on its way out, its fun being in 5th on highway planting foot and seeing it go to like 5000rpm LOL.
  7. Yea so can the workshop down the road, I think I'll just go through them as they offer 1yr warranty. Thanks though!
  8. Well it is push clutch, so different to pull from what I've read Anyway, friends supra has almost totally lost the clutch, took him for a drive and he says its the same
  9. OK that's it, it must be slipping. Now in 4th if I give it everything it definitely slips. Does anyone know if it could just be the pressure plate springs, and how much that would cost if it was?
  10. Symptoms: 1. Fang in 2nd, goes to 4.5-5k rpm then sortof sits there while the speedo goes from 40 to 70 or whatever. 2. Similar in 3rd 3. Engine RPM *sounds* the same, so I don't think it is the RPM gauge with a problem, and the speedo is going up sortof the way it should.. I haven't done any mods, the weather hasn't been any different really. What *has* changed, although the problem started before, is clutch fluid being topped up (leak from master) and HICAS reset (was full of fluid but they forgot to reset, so light stayed on). Anyone have any ideas? It doesn't seem to 'slip' in 1st though its too fast to tell really. The mechanic I took for a drive and he drove doesn't think it is the clutch, although it didn't happen as badly. The only thing they suggested was maybe the pressureplate springs were a bit old so maybe in some situations it isn't clamping...? On the plus side, means I don't have to fork out $1200 for a new one just yet <_<
  11. Nicely done

    My New R35

Bastard I have to say that now in every 35 thread since I so want to own one Very nice result and tune though, will you keep going?
  13. Bastards who can afford GT-R35s TBH don't listen to the others about the cost of a 35, the depreciation is really not as much of an issue as they make out. You'll be spending tens of thou a year to keep a 32-34 up to the same standard.
  14. steering rack for sure, could be something stuck on to stop it from going further. some dirt or something. otherwise, maybe some teeth missing in the other thing that connects to it, but i'd expect that to affect both.
  15. im wanting to upgrade mine, what sort of price you after?
  16. Uhm I think it was in diag mode, the mechnics did it. He said next time he'll have to measure the individual terminals or something. normal steering and presumably correct boss :S
  17. I realise GTR in the wet will step out, just haven't had it happen in 3rd at 60kmh around a fairly mild corner before It is more a gut feeling that something isn't as stable as it should be than anything else. Anyway, I'll get mechanic to have a look it might be hicas given the light is on (even though no fault found).
  18. So I was driving home tonight in the wet and was in 3rd going around a corner to go onto the highway. Was doing maybe 60kmh when I started to let it have it. Keep in mind basically stock, yet I felt the back start to go out to relaxed off. I guess it could have been oil or something, but it is now the 2nd time something like that has happened since hitting the curb. I also notice another weird sound coming from the back, and with both bearings replaced it probably isn't them? Anyway, is one of the symptoms of a dying box when the LSD plays up? The car also seems a little less stable on the freeway, though that could have been wind.
  19. Have just finished making a pallet so can ship my diff and other stuff, it was easy! stuff you need: - 1x 2.4m treated pine MPG10 structural $5.90 at bunnings - 2x 1.8m paling treated pine $1 each bunnings - hammer and nails. i used nails that have thread on the end (griplock galv paslode), makes it more sturdy but any nails would work. get bunnings to cut each into 3rds, cost another $2. lay out the bigger pieces into thirds, then 4 of the smaller bits on top. then 2 on the bottom. finished should look something like this: (pics coming)
  20. 25w50 isn't too thick depending on the temperature...
  21. my 4WD light comes on sometimes when just startving the car, but restarting it fixes that. probably just a loose relay or something in my case :S
  22. check oil level. check temp. def get checked by mechanic, that is what the check engine light means.
  23. It isn't too much work, but it takes time... $200 I'd say. Better to buy a fitted set...
