Yep. Well apparently the struts weren't included, and given hte right one is bent will probably have to get new ones, unless someone has a 2nd hand set lying around?

Was doing 60kmh on main st, slowed to take corner. So 30-40kmh probably. Yea I was a complete idiot, it was dark normally I have high beam on (which still sucks lol), but I didn't and was complacent. Expensive $1700 lesson heh.

melbourne. found something at a wreckers, so its all good for now. might need extra parts though if the replacement is damaged in any way. basically the whole frame needs replacing as well, the upper tie rod ripped out lol. and the left side is totally bent on the lower arm. anyway, we'll see when they put it all back together if i need anything more..

So I somehow managed to hit the curb on a turn I take at least 10x a week, long story short is probably need a full set of rear suspension gear. I hit on the back right, but it has also bent things on the back left. Kframe is bent on the right, the upper rod is actually ripped out of it, and few other smaller rods seem bent. Doesn't look like any body damaged but could be a little warping hopefully not. Anyway, looking at wreckers and so on, but .... Help!

I just hit a curb and pedders say I need basically a whole new rear assembly. The Kframe is bent, some of the tie/castor rods are also bent, who knows what else until they pull it off. Would you happen to have that stuff still?

Nissan says so. There was a documentary ages ago. I may mis-remember, but I do recall Carlos saying the look was the most important and they spent like 6 months on it.

Considering they spent longer on the shape than all the rest of the car engineering, I'd think they might stretch it out a bit more Having said that, who knows what Carlos is thinking, he could easily go for another design. I suspect it will go more along the lines of how Porsche does things, minor changes but not a full re-design.

Semi back on topic, last night as I was leaving shopping carpark and driving along access road, I turned into the other lane to avoid speed hump (not a nice one, they are the ones that still go THUMP even at 1kmh), then turning back into my lane I just happened to be passing 2 guys who looked around when I put the juice on before going into the other lane, and then as I was just finished going back into the proper lane one of them sortof jumped out and tried to punch the car or something. I don't know if he thought I was trying to run them over or something (they were on the road, not the pavement next to it...) but man .. would certainly not have felt safe stopping.

On the other hand, it was liberal who sold off large chunks of government assets (*caugh Telstra). Both sides are morons, the average drugged out gambler could manage the countries money better, and certainly wouldn't cow-tow to the rich plutocracy.

How long did those rubbers end up lasting? Other posts posited that about 2 good laps is all you guys managed, is that in the ballpark?

lol 2 days? 16 hrs? i can't believe it takes that long. i've stripped an r32 and r33 totally down insides in half a day, so even allowing another half to put it back together :S anyhoo, as i said i'd think like 5+ guys doing. seems like no sort of standard apart from basic alarm though is worth it, so im guessing the idea is a bit dead.

Oh BTW, if you scrap the bonnet, can I have the skyline badge plz ($15?)

$500 for bonnet, $150 for new radiatior top tank (that is probably what ruptured). Glad no more damage, looks like a sweet ride!!

Mmmmm yes does look like the best course of action is a working proper alarm and insurance. I still think we can do some sort of community monitoring type thing, but the privacy aspect will be difficult.

I more meant have the alarm/security experts doing the checking, not other members. And have it in a day to keep costs down.
