the red looks tops mate, i have a thing for red nissans. perhaps its a little 'pack of assholes' in every one of em. paint maintenance is a must with any red car, be sure to wax it as often as humanly possible
  2. standard turbo with 48mm gate? explain
  3. perhaps the AVO .71 would be an interesting venture then probably a better option to supply that to GCG and have them profile it up for the 2871 cartridge rather than the HPIAB kinder surprise.. you think a 2871 56T would make the hotside hit a brick wall in the AVO .71 housing? considering they rate it capable of running GT30 series wheels, it would be fairly irresponsible to rate a product as compatible if it couldnt flow that kind of gas.
  4. Somehow i doubt GCG would stock such an item lol
  5. the speedflow is a -6, same as the block lol so you get a male to male 6AN barb. both ends are male. thats my take of what is being said, i cant read it any other way.
  6. I do not think that combination would be very similar, but if you made one, I would want it. I think the above said combo would be better than a GT2540, and possibly even able to use a 56T.
  7. Now that threw a spanner into the works, ive wanted to see a .8x hotside on that sort of turbo matched to an RB25 for a while now... shame garrett dont product a T3 footprint 2871 from the box, the available T2 comes with both .64 and .86
  8. lol love the last one, ich glouben un Borg Warner
  9. *waits for disco*
  10. if ur actuator is 1bar, it will do roughly 1bar. it could do a lil less or could do a lil more, depending on the setup. but to confirm what i think you are asking, yes it work fine and normal.
  11. schweet I cant match that 2535 compressor to anything else on the garrett site, interesting. as for being more responsive la la la, somehow i dont think the GTRS will come accross laggy in the slightest... i wish i could have the HKS GTRS housing and the housing off the HPIAB "RB special 2871" to compare.... if the housing is built to be the correct AR for that actual turbine and not a ground out RB housing that could be a very potent turbo. tho to point out.. HPIAB sell that turbo for nearly 2k on its own... the GTRS kit comes complete with all the gear ready for bolt on for 3k... its not THAT much of a hike for guaranteed results
  12. edit, ok you got it now... phew
  13. I typed "R33 FSM" into the address bar of firefox and was linked to an old forum page titled R33 FSM, second post was this; http://www.phase2motortrend.com/nifasemaf.html You can clearly see the particular piece of electronic you are referring to in the diagrams..... But it does not tell you anything about it LOL sorry dude. P.S. have more faith in google....
  14. Dash 6 fitting like he said lol Updates Justin?
  15. oh, you make a valid point. I was unaware the cropped version was available thru garrett and would love to know its PN
  16. fark i bet you work in the taverna, coz you either serve alcohol there or drink it. life there is one big tsonda
  17. Boost control, the 3071 and .63 IW are not a good combo for it as far as results go.. but an extremely good turbo if they were haha. Good to see your confidence in the 2835 also, I may want to revisit that as the price really isnt too bad.
  18. if you want 250, get a GTRS. a 2835 will not boast as many benefits as it at that power level. only go the 2835 if you wish to get another 20 - 30kw.
  19. was it towing a boat or what? so much magna hate. would one of you fagna lovers eat my fecal matter as punishment if u were pwnd thru some twisties by your mums magna? coz u kno i got a hot steamy one brewing.
  20. How much do you usually need to send em? can you simply mail off a sample or need to see them in person?
  21. 18psi is not an issue, ive saved a few sheets for personal reference. once you run too much boost you start to choke up top. None of the graphs I have saved have any issue hitting 250, and the area under the curve is enormous. plus they go right to top revs before they dare tail off let alone redline, an excellent turbo. as for 18psi and weak pistons, sounds like good gospel. Boost is a tangent like fuel and timing, any of the above can create nonsense combustion temps and pressure on the motor if out of proportion. Boost itself doesnt kill the motor, the tune does, seen 170000k CA eat 20psi for years to come daily on OEM bottom end. Good tune to say the least, its still running, has been a regular drift cop since 08 and been running 20psi since 2005.
  22. elaborate, sounds like valuable info
  23. Dont bother, 2540 is not a good combo. make some 2871 52trim .60 front .64 rear, that is the better combo.
  24. the stock cams are 350 capable, wait for ash to chime in. but im a believer anyhow. stock manifold begins to hold you back above 300, the .63 doesnt seem to be an issue tho, its doing the numbers provided used with a good manifold and gate.
