  1. HAHAH SOUNDS LIKE WE ALL AGREE! mate those cams do not suit your application lets put it to you that way unless your running a bigger turbo and soild lifter arrangement like uras said which is rite and have done a lot of work on the head u have wasted your money even if u put soild lifters and harder springs i dont see u getting much out of them with that turbo ! u should of went poncams mate! i think u ordered the wrong ones...try poncams 260--- 9.15lift and then compare your midrange to topend to what your using now...big difference cheers
  2. if you are going to use it for drift i suggest u read sydney kids oil control thread and that turbo you are using is a bit laggy for drift unless u keep the comp ratio up and think about more cc's. i would also suggest a different plenum than the greddy one like a custom made one with longer runners! u want it to rev so head work it a must also valves springs and everything done to head is a good start. also i would use a tial 44mm-38 is too small and also 260 tomei cams that will help with midrange thats the engine done now what about suspension and castor rods and all that shit ...r34 aint the best car for drift cheers its like taking my van to the drift track..hahahah cheers
  3. just ring bel performance in syd i dont have one on me... they can verify it it was on the dyno night as well they had a month back ... cheers!
  4. i have a simple answer you are the weakest link.... 1.depends how u drive it 2.human error 3.tuning there are plenty of steps to try and help make it bulletproof but no solution.. cheers
  5. hahaha i know im well endowed but im not that way inclined nick... hahahah.
  6. I have had the .63 housing on my neo rb25det and it made over 340rwkw and rpm was at 9000 full boost by 3200 thats was at 1.7bar ..now thats pretty responsive for a high mount it sounded like a machine!!!!...hahaha cheers
  7. mate i was using a 2835pro s and getting 280 with cams jesus 280 + thats a big call! i had to change a lot more to get over 280 ... hmm hard to speculate depends on the tune....below 280
  8. this is a joke well your on a public forum so u will get criticised when u post wether u like it or not .... why else would u post it...feedback! if u dont want to get criticise DONT POST!.... is that too much too handle..this is called freedom of speech. geez your going to tell people what to write now!... how about u have a cup of SHUT THE F U C K UP! cheers and have a gud day!
  9. jesus thats bad im making 380-400 a tank and im above 330rwkws....
  10. Im a bit confused with this thread... so u have a rb25det neo head on a rb30 bottom end is this rite...? Now the biggest u could go with the neo head is the hks cams drop in's they are bigger than the tomei poncams cheers high octane should know beta!!!
  11. this comment is ssssssssoooooooooooooooo true and i cant believe that i agree with r31nismoid on this... first time ever.. i would personally go the apexi axb70 what ever its called u want response this thing will tear u a new hole! cheers
  12. hahaha yeah the 2.6ltr one..hahaha not my fault people cant handle RWD! now runs away
  13. lol warn history i luv it this crap admins put on the website... anyways i like to argue with facts plain and simple as that .now i was comparing the r34gtt to the trd aurion seems pretty fair too me..nissan vs toyota u look at the spec and tell me what u think ...how about that ...? ohh 1 more thing --- sick of people taking shit too ...hahaha but its a forum so ill put up with it and in exchange people put up with my crap!--- arguing and i think beer baron has nothing else better to do except have double standards but some of the other admins have them as well.. cheers does that make my warn history go up...?....lol
  14. this has got to be the stupidest thing ive read so far ..... noooooooooo the commodores werent racing and yet 2 people died..hahah sorry but if they werent racing do u think 2 people would of died i think not!..as already clearly stated speed was a factor look at the police site!..jeezz maybe u should stop going down george street on a friday nite so u dont get the same type of car next to you... im not going to bother if u reply it would be a waste of time to respond...
  15. and....? since when was a commodore a toyota or nissan..hahahha
  16. either that or put it on the dyno and have a look at the graph if there is a massive dip midrange then it aint working... cheers
  17. yeah thats fine but im not arguing that point im sayin that u put a stock r34 gtt on the dyno and youll get what 160rwkw or there abouts where as the trd aurion will do more! so u can go on about the gentlemens agreement but fact is u have to a base or start point of the arguement still look at the figures they dont lie 206kw at the engine is still 160rwkw.. that being said the aurion will still whoop its ass! no matter which way u look at it it still doesnt change cheers..
  18. well actually its on par but better where as the r34 has 206kw at the engine..therefor it would be better and more comfortable the aurion... hmm sounds like u should get ya facts straight.... if we were talking about all out power thats a different story but we aint...haha you guys were compaing the soarer to the gtst and i was comparing the gtt to the aurion... cheers.
  19. this thread is funny.. toyotas answer to nissan would be the new TRD AURION....that would kill a few gtst out there! http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring/news_...upercharged.htm and heres something to compete with everything else.. http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring/news_...oyota-ft-hs.htm
  20. hahaha gud call .. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t=0&start=0 and do a search as uras has taken pics and posted them up.... cheers
  21. nope cant be done..the sensor behind the front bumper goes to the ecu as a reading for how cold it is outside and inside to adjust the a/c temp ..basically to tell it what temp u want inside the car.. cheers you could do it but there would be a lot of stuffing around and money spent... or u could just stick a thermostat on ya windscreen.hahahahaha
  22. ok ok geez ball breaker adam ..hahah j/k no i didnt actually fit the plenum myself but i was there while they fitted it and ask all the questions i could think of ..like whats midrange like how about top end, now about dyno figures its a bit diffcult because i also installed a exhaust manifold the same time but it did make improvements and it suited me. theres two ways u can look at it , 1. power versus money spent 2. was it really necessary the first point i had the option of plazaman and hypertune and micksmetalcraft and greddy price wise expensive to less expensive i think it was hypertune plazmaman micksmetalcraft greddy but keep in mind power versus money they start at what $1600 and end at 850 now that being said they all pretty much do the same thing but there might be some little gains to be had between them all. they all need throttle bodies well if your upgrading the plenum u would want to upgrade the throttle body to make the diameter bigger and beter response. Also the cable and tps sensor needed to be sourced/changed at the time. my power goal at the time was 300 or just a tad over and achieved the 300rwkw with a hks 2835 pro s. before the plenum and mainfold i was getting 285rwkw now when i changed the two items i had hit 300rwkw with that turbo. but before i change the two items i had problems one of them being flow restriction and the other holding boost - now i never thought that changing these two items it would hold boost at high rpm but i was wrong and it took me by surprise. The outcome was that boost would hold at high rpm and the flow improved response and midrange to high end power. now i have changed the turbo to a much larger unit and i was thinking great here comes the lag but in actual fact it worked a treat with having 16psi by 3500rpm and then 4000-4200rpm having 1.5bar and hitting over 320rwkw no probs with flow restriction or boost and response. Now all this being said a lot of people believe that the standard plenum is fine unitll 300rwkw well i dont agree at all if the plenum is changed earlier on there are gains to be had with a smaller turbo but with a larger turbo there are much more gains. Now you could spend $1600 or whatever but in the end it comes down too what u really want from the car or what u are trying to achieve for example: response = no lag but limits top end mid = little lag great midrange and a little top end top end = lot of lag fantastic midrange and fantastic top end what im basically saying is that each plenum is designed differently so it will have a different outcome just like a turbo so its pick and choose..now ive givin you an example of what ive done with your average greddy plenum on the 34 but dont get me wrong im sure improvements can be had by getting a custom one done , its a trial and error situation alot of time and money spent on air flow charaterstics with the plenum and runners. So therefor it comes down too what u want and how much are u willing to spend.. cheers any questions welcomed. and to adam and deant1 "reason why i dont share"... "infected flow has a greddy on his 34 which i assume, is the reason for the 'sunny' comment. since he now assumes he knows all the answers about this. I'm sure it will improve performance but i'm interested to what extent. I was told although they can be fitted to a neo they are less than ideal. " now the reason why i couldnt be bothered writing up is because cockheads write shit up like this ..i didnt say i know all! i said back up what u wrote about the greddy plenum .. people are more inclined to share if u ask .. cheers.
