  1. was set at 8600 but I never revved it past 8000. Even at Winton I was changing at 6500 - 7000. I didn't need the revs. With the RS's It needed every last RPM it could get so it wasn't so lethargic when pulling the next gear... not that it helped! From 4500 RPM I have 275 kw. Now if I changed at 8000 it will land somewhere between 5500 - 6000 RPM, thats 390-410KW after gear change, back up to 425 at 7100 and 418 at 8000.
  2. Just pulled out my latest graph. I hit 0.8 bar at 3400 RPM which is about 75 RPM after the dyno graph starts. RS's was 4600 RPM which was 1400 RPM after the run starts.
  3. LOL! You know where they need to go? In the dumpster along with 2540's. But im sure there is a big pile of those in there already!
  4. What about in the mufflers (well the rear one). My Kakimoto had a 2.5 inch restrictor in it. What a POS! Silly jap systems!
  5. Thats the 'big dick' RP engine. Search "RB29 WOW".
  6. how big is your exhaust marko?
  7. 20 psi, pump 98, big engine. Sure some secrets in there but it shows the 'baby -5's' will do awsome numbers with unreal 'average' power. Something that alot of people forget.
  8. I can't see how that's a bad thing? Twist EVERYWHERE. Who needs to go back a gear, just let the grunt pull you out. It won't 'feel' as fast, but you would be so much further down the road he won't catch you with his extra '20 kw'. My 5's don't feel as as 'fast' as the RS's but its so much easier to drive quickly with this setup. The fact that in places I am making 100 more says enough... and more top end. I can't see a downside?
  9. Marko, I have no idea. -5's on a 2.6 are still a bit 'meh' for my liking. Much better off with -9's/SS's. Having gone from RS's to -'s on a 2.8 it's the best thing I HAVE EVER DONE. I still feel like it lacks a tad low down grunt but the silly cams don't help. Put them on a 3.0 and OMFG. I have seen the graph (although not at full noise) and there is no comparison. NONE! If i build a 3.0 (and I may very soon) I can assure you I wouldn't put those things on the passenger side of the engine. A perfect example is this. Last week out of UE there was a supra with a T04Z. Made something like 315 RWKW. Poor result yeah? Pitty he still had a standard cat and some crappy cat back. Any turbo setup needs the supporting mods to work. How many crap results do you see from -5's/2530's? HEAPS! Sort the setup out and I can Assure you.. i'll bet my car on it, that the setup on the street would be ruthless. 3.0, 2.9, 2.8.
  10. I disagree man. -5's are cheaper, come on SO MUCH EARLIER and still make well over 400. Peaky, laggy (not saying your's was laggy) but imagine coming on ATLEAST 1000 RPM earlier and making 430+. Average power > peaky power.
  11. Proberbly not.
  12. 7125 RPM there seems to be a little 'bump' in the flat line. 410 at 8000 RPM.
  13. Thats a mad result. What rear housing?
  14. Considering balancers are a wear item.... they don't last forever, just change it anyway.
  15. $1,200 shipping? LOL. I hope they are giving us the plane with it also. Jerks!
  16. Who cares. The second last time Steveo was there in his 400 kw GTR (although RWD on india's best tyres), he was the slowest out of everyone.... Even the ants crawling up the hill were smashing him BUT, I can assure you he had to most fun out of everyone.
  17. Gotta be quick around here
  18. You have VCT. Much better than Cam gears.
  19. I dunno, some people think they are a 'waste of time'
  20. Oh you better believe i'm there!
  21. What a HOOT that would be to drive. *SIGH* The outright twist of the 3.0. *Throws the 2.8 in the bin*
  22. This will be interesting! You will have me down low 100% Just when that cross over point is will be interesting.
  23. What is your setup man? Give us a brief rundown
  24. Fantastic
  25. Cruise? I hope that's a cruise up a certain hill!!!!
