just spotted Matty (and his girlfriend I think), Luke & Flick at a certain BP where we all got complimentary car washes. I've just washed 2 of my cars and I'm going to get my 3rd car washed as soon as my missus gets back from her complimentary wash.

lol, you guys....pull your heads in......it's no wonder why my wife doesn't get involved with this forum
-
that group buy is a couple of months on since he was able to get those prices still......would be worth shooting him a PM to see if he can still do that.
-
actually I've dealt with them in the past.......the guy that used to run the place died suddenly last year but someone else is running it now.......I'll go and check them out now. Thanks Martin

something very sweet about those 350GT's......can see myself in one in a few years
-

I've just popped a sway bar link on my GTR....material inside appears to be either nylon or some sort of fibre material. They're not standard GTR issue and ARC stuff is pretty expensive. They're a well made unit and was wondering if anyone knows who can repair or rebush these things.
-
I'm currently running the 2860 -5's which are a smidge bigger than the N1's and still relatively responsive with good power. Is anyone running a pair of 2860 -10's or HKS GT-RS (virtually the same I think) on their GTR that can comment on response sacrifice vs power gain?

[group Buy] Acpt Carbon Fibre Tailshafts Any Model! $1400us
SLED replied to Angus Smart's topic in Group Buys
if that's the case, whatever the $AU was doing at the time the balance appeared into his account is the rate at which the transaction is made. Only other alternative is to either hope for a full refund (doubt it if they're already made) or haggle on the extra $$........he may be reasonable and meet you part of the way (even if he does sound like a hard ass)......goodluck guys. -
[group Buy] Acpt Carbon Fibre Tailshafts Any Model! $1400us
SLED replied to Angus Smart's topic in Group Buys
another option may be to sit on the deal temporarily (if you're prepared to wait) and see if the $AU recovers in the next month (which it will to a certain degree)........might be a way of cutting some of your losses. You would've had him if all the money was paid up front but unfortunately deposits alone don't secure price on international deals..........no different to dealing with Nengun who also quote $AU and can change it on you overnight without warning unless all monies are paid, they don't need to issue the fine print regardless of currency quoted. -
I think they are 400lbs Front (approx 6 or 7kgs) and 450lbs Rear (approx 8kgs).........I'd prefer the other way around if possible. Jude (CAZMAN) needs to confirm this though............soon I hope.

hmmm, I upped the ante again to Adventurous mode and this is what I get now......I'm confused Joel, why the yoyo effect??
-
I upped the ante to Aggressive mode (ADSL2+) and it upped the ping rate slightly but dropped the download rate..........maybe time of day??
-
so what you're saying is that if I log into my provider and up my speed, I'll increase the ping count but make it less stable. I upped the speed awhile ago but kept dropping out so went back to standard. I'm on Recommended at the moment and seems pretty stable: What do the different Profiles Mean? The following are the semi-technical terms for each of the Performance Profiles: Conservative Can achieve speeds up to 4 Mbits/sec (~435kB/sec) but designed to sacrifice speed for rock solid connections. Used to support phone lines with poor Signal to Noise Ratios (SNR) and/or long distances from the Exchange. Resilient Can achieve speeds up to 8 Mbits/sec (~870kB/sec) and builds on the checks used for the Conservative setting. Useful for customers who have consistent dropouts or Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) errors. Can provide the most stable connection out of all the performance profiles. Recommended Can achieve speeds up to 8 Mbits/sec (~870kB/sec). Provided as the default configuration for all AdamDirect services. This ensures backwards compatibility for ADSL 1 capable modems. A robust setting that is good for the majority of customers connected to an AdamDirect Service, regardless of distance and minor variances in SNR. Aggressive Can achieve speeds up to 12 Mbits/sec (~1306kB/sec). This setting provides for high speed connectivity. Suitable for latest generation ADSL2/2+ capable modems. This setting may be useful for short to medium length distances from the Exchange. Adventurous Can achieve speeds up to 24 Mbits/sec (~2611kB/sec). Full speed capability is available using this profile. Your line quality should be of a high standard with a strong signal strength. We recommend attempting this setting if you have maintained a successful connection using the Aggressive profile for a period of time. Thrillseeker Can achieve speeds up to 24 Mbits/sec (~2611kB/sec). This is an Adventurous setting with a twist: interleaving is turned off. Interleaving is a process of error control that sends data to your modem in a non contiguous fashion. This tends to provide a more error tolerant connection. Some customers would choose this profile to decrease gaming "ping" times. This profile is not recommended for general use.

Up until last year I used to do alot of counterfeit seizure for Trade Mark Investigations in QLD. Even got to shut a couple of small shops and stalls up that were mainly dealing with all that Louis Vuitton & Gucci handbags etc i.e. a genuine handbag from Europe can cost up to $1500, whereas you can get a cheap knock off from China or Indonesia for $20 and sell it in Australia for $200 - $300........sell 20 or 30 of those a day and the risks suddenly seem worth it until someone like me knocks on your door. I remember chasing 4 guys from the UK a couple of years ago when Metallica came to town and played at the Wayville oval. These guys were following Metallica all over the country and at the end of each show were selling knock off T-Shirts out of suit cases on the Rose Tce lawns & car park entrance for between $30 & $50. They were cheap ass shirts (probably paid $2 each) and were selling upwards of 100 per night then during the day they would try & flog them in Rundle Mall and major shopping centres, lol.

don't know how much difference it makes Dale.....Ryan would have a better idea
-
so according to 17ms I must be relatively close
-
Correct........you take 2 cars with identical mods yet one has a fresh motor while the other is lacking compression with crappy plugs and I guarantee a difference of at least 20 or 30kw.
-
haha, lol..........when I was reading thru all the posts and got to about #25 I was thinking, hmmm any second now and I'll find a post from Ryan stealing my thunder
-
I'm with Adam as well Andrew with this result........big difference in Ping speed, what's that all about?
-
Don't get me started I won't mention names, but if you had itchy fingers and walked thru a workshop car park and came across a 34 GTR with keys in the ignition...... well it does and did happen........someone didn't watch Gone in 60 Seconds. I wonder if that's how this one went missing........does Mike Keen still have the owners keys or not?! First question a factual investigator will ask to establish liability & negligence.
