  1. you reckon the extra minimal performance difference is worth the dosh though? Wish I had some figures or comparisons between my drive and an SSD on an EIDE controller
  2. naaah, Chucky's too Van Damish for my liking........another one left out on purpose cause wheel chairs vs choppers doesn't make for Box Office hits
  3. not too late for Kadina Luke....you know you want to
  4. LOL Dave, that's one guy that I'm glad they left out.....me thinks it was intentional
  5. wow, every bad ass on the planet is in that movie...............and American bikes too!!! Gotta be worth watching
  6. this is what I'm worried about........if the controller is the limiting factor then it's probably pointless spending $300 - $400 to gain little if any speed at all......better off puting it towards another laptop maybe. This is what's in it now: WD1600BEVE Scorpion Blue 160Gb 8 Mb cache 5400rpm 2.5" PATA
  7. guys I've got an old Benq laptop that does pretty much everything that I need for work. Except for a little more speed, I'd be happy to stick with it for another year or 2. Thing is, it has an IDE HDD (not a SATA) so going to an SSD to improve performance is pretty much out of the equation. Anyone here ever configured an SSD into an IDE connection?
  8. speaking of O2 sensors, I've still got a brand new pair somewhere that was meant for my 34R....not sure what else they fit though....possibly only a 33R
  9. haha, cause coolant already lives in the radiator bud. I think you meant oil in the radiator which can track between galleries, cylinders and externally.....depending on whether it's a head gasket issue, cracked head, warped head, corroded head, etc.
  10. I don't get what you mean in your last post Steve
  11. I wouldn't drive it if I were you. This problem gets worse, not better and it's only a matter of time before the reverse (much worse) happens, if it hasn't already, ie. water in oil. Sounds like a track between water jacket and oil gallery.
  12. that SAU-SA Exec dude that posts occasionally is the SAU STIG.........nobody knows his/her's true identity!!

This is gonna sound weird coming from me but I'm tipping an upset in the Showdown. Crows have just equalled their worst ever start to a season (previously 0-5 under Robert Shaw) and will be looking to avoid a new club record this week, especially after comments from the coach at the start of the season saying that "we're a top 4 side" and "this is the best team we've ever put out in the club's history". He won't want to be haunted any further by those rash statements so as far as they are concerned this is do or die this weekend. History has also proven that no matter where either team is on the ladder (even if they're at opposite ends) the bottom side always lifts for these games (amazing what bragging rights can do for a player). Port are likely to go in this week with less preparation than the Crows me thinks.
  14. ahhh memories.........hopefully one day you won't have to drive as far to see similar action Weezy Give me that stuff over drift and big uleh skids anyday great pics mate

Actually 3 upsets this weekend Krish Brisbane Cats Power although the latter is not really an upset for me
  17. maybe something like this would fire it up but cranking amps aren't always the be all and end all, a battery needs to sustain the vehicle's amperage, depends on the current draw of an RB20......wouldn't bother ever using lights again I would imagine. Non lead acid battery in boot is the way to go. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/12V-AGM-DRY-FIT-HAR...=item4ceeee81f8
  18. Chad, which part of the above statement don't you understand? I think Kristian would know better than all of us put together and therefore would be wise to heed the guy's advice..........I'll say it again, the 32 arguement is totally irrelevant.
  19. huh?? he's got a 33....I think you missed Kristian's point Chad
  20. the author of this thread is, going by his reply in Post #7 posts after that are talking about 32's...clearly not relevant

I'm speechless. I am without speech!!
  22. clearly you guys don't know what you're doing so I suggest you see a mechanic. First you said that it turns with no compression now you're saying that it locks up and in between you said that the motor spins freely without the belt which is an absolute NO NO to anyone that knows what they are doing....goodluck with it mate but it does look like you've got some troubles now that could've possibly been avoided if taken to a mechanic immediately EDIT: Also, I don't see how you can turn the cams easily if the lobes are hard pressed against spring retainers.....unless of course certain valves are stuck open or broken now (which I'm guessing is quite likely).
  23. you didn't did you?
  24. before you go removing the head, remove tappet covers and see if either any valves have stuck down (ie bent) or if any can be pulled out spring and all (ie broken valves) Cant see all the valves in every cylinder kissing pistons therefore should have some pressure....you're clearly doing something wrong. ....and if a valve hits a piston, the whole motor is not necessarily a throw away.
  25. check the pressure gauge your using.....if in doubt, put a finger over the plug hole and crank it....should feel some pressure cause I can't see all your valves staying open at the same time, lol
