  1. understand your frustration Kel but it's called evolution.......in the same way that ideas evolve, so do people's interests

    Afl 2010

Huh!!! Who are these people? Where were they last year? No Warren Gary, Mots or Broges (amongst others) and still able to manufacture watchable footy for the first time in over 12 mths! Not to mention that 4 of 5 of our BOG's were part of the old brigade....again, where were they last year, lol? I'm thinking Boak, Cloke & Carlile will be players to watch this year. Power Surge
  3. Ohh, if you go I suppose I'll have to enter too. Lunch break at Fasta Pasta down the road.....don't think these's a pub within walking distance
  4. yep....these two!
  5. More news at hand......for this Sunday arvo. Attached poster is pretty self explanatory........Marco's beast looks good too!
  6. When you go quoting this : without mentioning an individual, you bring the whole exec into disrepute which includes everyone from the President down.......which also brings me into it!! Furthermore, I don't appreciate you telling me to "open up my eyes" or telling me how to do my job. If Dohmar or Wayne have an issue they care to discuss with me or another Mod, then they can PM us direct, they certainly are big enough & ugly enough not to need your hand to hold. Think before you go slinging acusations at the whole exec next time and consider this a friendly warning.
  7. yeah sorry Dave....I've got Melbourne on the brain cause I need to get over there for a day or two.
  8. in the words of Pauline Hanson, "Please Explain".
  9. done deal!! that reminds me, I'm spewing that I didn't head over to Melbourne for the UFC last weekend.........reckon Carl would be too.
  10. LOL Kel, leaving the word "about" out of your question would be more accurate Sorry, I couldn't resist Ben...........well, I'm not really sorry
  11. haha, funny boy.....not if I get you 1st Dave
  12. We're in the wrong country for a 1 child policy Ben.......with the baby boomers in the throws of retirement you'll need 10 times more peeps in the workforce to support them (pension) which means 2 children to replace the parents and 1 for society (as per Peter Costello's quote). Opens up another can of worms because there are peeps out there that will criticize those that try and buy investment property so as not to rely on hand outs (aka pension) but then the X's & Y's will criticize that as well....you can't win either way no matter what you do, LOL
  13. Yeah I appreciate that Andy...show him the pic if you like. I actually thought of AM Performance as well to be honest. There's a mob in Furness Avenue, Edwardstown that do that stuff mate....can't think of their name at the moment, sorry.
  14. Thanks Luke & Andy. If you can appreciate, we need not only a qualified fabricator to do this but he needs to be very good as this thing is worth as much as a 35 GTR and the job has to be done right the 1st time.
  15. thanks for that James...will definitely give him a shot. you know what Deano, nothing would surprise me from an old schooler armed with a welder, angle grinder and a piece of sheet metal
  16. ^^^There you go Abe........just get the NPC bud as it's less than 1/3 of the cost of a Nismo and very good clutch for the $$ by the sounds of it
  17. Just wondering if anyone among us is handy with the old sheet metal (fabricator). We're trying to get my mates bike on the road legally which would mean an extension to the rear guard. Dotars require the rear guard to extend over the tyre to at least 45 degrees. The present guard is integral to the frame and therefore cannot be detached so the extension piece would have to be welded whilst attached to the frame (obviously we would have to remove the rear wheel first). Oh, and obviously the rear guard would have to be painted again by his painter. HELP!
  18. LOL, sounds like James would make a good candidate for a Mod with his stick wielding talents .......**mental note** Abe, help us to help you buddy.....ie. How much power are you anticipating? How much track work will the car see? Is it your daly and if so, how much rush hour driving will it see? and most importantly, what is your driving style like, ie. boot into it from most traffic lights (which is how I drove when I was younger) or just the occasional squirt, etc? All the above factors have a big say on clutch choice but having said that (and as Steve stated) you couldn't go wrong with that NPC setup from the little I know about you and your car. Hope this is all helping bud, cause I was the same when I was trying to decide on turbos and zorsts before selling mine.
  19. yeah fair enough Abe....gotta keep the folks happy mate. Don't know alot about NPC but it sounds OK, especially for the price
  20. you know my thoughts.......what's the diameter of a factory plate?
  21. Alot of incorrect info flying around in here. The whole idea of going for a twin plate is to avoid a heavy pedal....which is what a single with a thicker diaphram will give you. I'm not even a fan of the singles with solid centres that are running buttons because they are very unforgiving on you and your driveline......these don't affect pedal pressure though. Triple plate is a total waste of time for your car Abe.....not to mention that you will always be trying to release 3 plates before you can change years...not very good for lightening shifts. Nismo have probably done more testing on GTR's than anyone else in the clutch department and have come up with 2 versions of the Twin Copper Mix one has a slightly heavier diaphram than the other, hence slightly heavier pedal but more clamping pressure. I ran the lightest of the 2 Twin Copper Mix kits and found the pedal to be lighter than the factory single because they rely on surface area (being twice as much) and not clamping pressure which gives the heavy pedal. The use of organic material is for forgiveness on your driveline (ability to slip it in traffic) but with a mix of copper to increase grip and reduce fade on the track. IMHO, either of the 2 Nismo twin setups give you flexibilty between street and track which would suit your specific requirements Abe. Having said that, a car that's used mainly for track like Andrew's (Blue 32) would not benefit from this set up as he would want very little slip and lightening changes.....plus he doesn't idle in traffic so clamping pressue is not a problem in this instance.
  22. LOL, don't mess with old blokes.....especially ones with a screw loose or they'll smack you like your daddy never did!!
  23. didn't go unnoticed and received a warning for his trouble Flintware is another joint you could try......Steve, who is Marco Elbe's pit crew for the black '57 Keith Black Chev works there.
  24. the bottom one is my 1st choice with a close 2nd for the top one
  25. Imports doing 7 sec passes on the Turbo Max channel right now!
