  1. Yes well Ash et al, I stayed with Lumleys SV for a year > Went across to Dawes for a year > About to sign up with Shannons for next year - all on the same car... Lol
  2. Pretty naive! * Derogatory statements can negatively influence a potential buyer * Misinformation about the product that the vendor is selling can be put right so that there's no accidental heartache for the buyer * Continual (and annoying) bumping by a duplicate account from the same ISP can be checked * Incomplete information may need to be queried * The price may be missng * Embellished description may have to be toned down Yes, Moderators need to be thanked for the work they do.
  3. 32 views > sigh...
  4. Nice! Artistic talent there too Mitch
  5. Same colour as my '97 Maxima It's a GV too - lol
  6. A couple of SQ5 Mum/Dad owners of wealth have been coached into buying those cars so that their sons can drive them. Ian Luff has had more to say too. An adjustment needs to be made but not a radical shift away from what's already in place. More motor insurance companies should encourage advanced driving courses with some benefits at the 'end of the tunnel'. But maybe there's too much commonsense in that?
  7. Stolen car racket busted through raids late today in Western Sydney. More news to come...
  8. ^^^ Luke will post it up pretty soon after the Exec Meeting tonight
  9. That's a blow to Tas as well as Oz I'm afraid
  10. Front guards are also aluminium. Auction papers or a paint thickness gauge (revealing aberrations), can tell if a panel has been replaced. Shades can vary in 3 areas a) metal b) bumper bars c) rear light housings *d) aftermarket or even genuine Nismo skirts and pods are usually matched up with the metal bodywork as best they can, but that's not always possible. Skirts and pods are mostly placed on in Oz. Japanese owners mostly left them off. PS Bayside Blue, Midnight Purple II and III are extremely hard to match PPS Red and Pearl colours are only marginally easier PPPS Colours that tend to fade like Yellow & Red often require blending with test cards being used as references
  11. An SAUer asked me for a name of my panelbeater/painter for his Bayside Blue R34 GT-R (formerly owned by me), so... I recommended... a) one at Yennora who does painting for bodyformaero and... b) one at Emu Plains Both of the above have painted Award-winning SAU Cars including Concours Awards Anyway, "b" above has been slacking off! The SAUer arrived with the car OK. But it didn't leave OK > It had to be towed off to JapLink Motors for an engine rebuild. > Intake valves were all bent > They denied responsibility > Car keys are placed on the front desk of the workshop for all to see and are not secured > Shortly after, they sacked an apprentice > SAUer Owner submitted a claim to Fair Trading > JapLink accumulated all bills for a new engine, labour and tranfer of cams/gears > Date of hearing was deferred > Second hearing showed under questioning that the workshop had failed in its duty of care > Tune originally done by Unigroup Eng was redone this time by DVS_JEZ - both Yavuz and Jez did great jobs, but more about that another time... > Panelbeating Workshop has had to pay out!
  12. Luke, How about a shot from the top of that scaffold next time???
  13. Join up today Robert as there may be a spot left. And even if a Reserve List is formed, most of the time it shrinks as the Tech Night looms closer
  14. On a former car where the hanger rubbers were aging, Repco allowed me to go through a whole assortment of boxes of rubber mounts until I found one that suited; and pulled the exhaust away from the tailshaft.
  15. Couldn't have said it better myself if my surname was Scippione
  16. The design of Italian Supercars suits your creative flair Matt
  17. Ever notice how quickly they change their minds Marko after 5mins in a 'rice-burner'? Lol
  18. Yeah it was the same at Springwood. For the oldies, it was a love or hate thing...
  19. Yes it'll be a whole lot of fun. I think it might be a personal import. They're not on the DOTARS list of cars that can be brought in and complied. So the one that Iron Chef has will be quite rare in Aust. Parts are easy to get though. What's your budget again?
  20. Yup, certainly worth joining Robert since we have another Tech Night coming up in spring! ...+ more next year
  21. Hi, I'm after just one 18x10.5 +15 LMGT4 rim that's undamaged. Must not be cracked, welded or out of round. It can be any colour. It can be scratched albeit slightly. Thanks...
  22. Yes, I've been in the same type of situation before Paul at the Cameron Burke Memorial Car Show at Springwood It was still fun talking to kids who recognised the potent R34 GTR from their PS2/X Box at home. Nice to make a contribution
  23. Yes, especially since there've been no drive-by shootings in this suburb!
