  1. got out of the way just in time Glad someone caught who it was
  2. Absolutely amazing! It'd take the lowest of low copper to ever 'defect' that! Happy Birthday too!
  3. Here we go... http://www.youtube.c...d&v=8ZkGL-HIEfI or maybe...
  4. Not sure about other "chapters" have it Jason, but we implemented it 1 month after 2010 AGM and about 3 months before the CAMS Secretary (Doreen) recommended it for all clubs. At the base of the NSW Membership Form it reads... * I undertake that holding Membership of SAU.NSW means that I must not bring "Skylines Australia" into disrepute. * I pledge that whilst displaying SAU signage, I shall drive courteously on the state's roads as a true enthusiast should. * I understand how important it is to maintain the good name of SAU.NSW and thus, treat other SAU members and sponsors accordingly. ^ ^ ^ Nothing too harsh - not meant to be legal-speak - but having this means we're a respectable outfit 'er club.
  5. Interesting Nick, God_speed hit a rainbow lorikeet the other day. Shell servo attendant put the stunned bird in a box to then call WIRES. But your one must have been on the nose?
  6. Being in Sydney... SAU Members get discount from Just Jap 101 Bath Rd Kirrawee Ph: 9545.0532 But... Eugene at "JDM Performance" here on SAU has 1 Nismo GT knob left I think > PM him. Not sure if it's 10mm or 12mm
  7. Sshhhhhhhhh.......... lol
  8. Gorgeous ^ ^ ^
  9. Comedians!
  10. One interesting side-point is that the GT-R Bayside Blue has more coats of paint than the GT Bayside Blue or even other GT-R coloured paint (even the chrome-emulsion MP III). In the engine bay and door sills though, it's the same ie. anywhere between 80-120 microns. On the GT-R body, it's up to 300-350 microns due to double base coats + double top coats with Bayside Blue. Compliments of Eugene aka JDM Performance in communicado with Todd O'Donnell aka JapLink Motors
  11. ^ ^ ^ so glad you haven't lost your sense of humour Aaron. Got any pets that were so glad to see you home? ...Nothing like your own bed?
  12. Double-digit-IQ behaviour. In NSW, we have a Code Of Conduct that Members sign off on their Membership Application. If we could identify a Member doing this, well > 'Curtains'
  13. Oh, I thought you meant this! F/S soon sigh...
  14. And to recommend to you a workshop familiar with all aspects of the RB26, where are you? It pays to get the right one first up, with history and low kms, so it won't bite you back.
  15. There's usually a delay > Gemma has to do a final pump up of tyres
  16. Adding to Pat... Hope you don't lose feeling in your right foot!
  17. CRD, Powerplay Imports, Tune House, Dart, Just Jap, Unigroup Eng, JapLink. We're well catered for here in NSW. Just consider... CRD, Powerplay and Tune House cost the most compared to the other 4. JapLink is also a compliance centre (+ other positives that Aggroman kindly mentioned)
  18. 2.2l Four S4s in '95 adopted the larger rear wing from Sport300, larger inlet ports, larger turbo, cylinder head mods, recalibrated ECM > 0-60mph in 4.6sec Nicer looking than earlier versions I think....
  19. Michael, he started at 10.30am and finished at 8.15. Eugene is meticulous! It helps when you have the passion. Eugene also tested the paint thickness before the polishing stage, and came up with this!... Usually, Nissan Skyline GT-R paint is between 80-120 microns thick on the bodywork, but my car registered around 323 microns. He assumed that because that thickness was on every panel (the C/F bonnet can't be tested, because the machine measures between metal to metal), the whole car had been resprayed. The detail was done on 18/6/11. Now here's the interesting part. Todd from JapLink emailed his mechanic in Nara the technician who sourced my car late last year. The reply that night, 20/6/11, confirmed that my car had never been in an accident (which I already knew), but that... R34 GT-Rs in Bayside Blue have 4 coats of paint - not 2 (or 3 in the case of chromemulsion MP paint). They have 2x base coats and 2 top coats before the clear. Additionally, my car had the 'glass paint treatment' from the original owner, and this explains why the paint is so thick on my car. Even GT-Ts in Bayside Blue only have 2 coats of paint. So only the Bayside Blue GT-Rs have 4 coats. Peter owner of BodyformAero also mentioned that the Bayside Blue GT-R had a thicker base coat (info that he'd sourced separately).
  20. Copper's Wife: "Oh how was your day to-day darling?" Copper: "Aw, Um, ...defected about 10 cars" Wife: "Well, I can put you to more use around here then!" AND NEXT EVENING... Copper's Kid: "Catch any crooks to-day Dad?" Copper: "Well I defected 10 cars to-day son." Kid: "Defectors are bad aren't they Dad?" AND NEXT DAY... Copper is on stress leave!
  21. On the Galston Gorge Cruise 19th June 2011 ^ ^ ^ * Bodywork was absolutely flawless. * Lustre is so deep and shiny * Hand feel is so slippery "P" bought it just after the R32 GT-R 21st Anniv. otherwise he would have entered it.
  22. After a formal detail by Eugene aka "JDM Performance" here on SAU
  23. Or a half cabin tsunami'd into it - lol
  24. If you get a quote from Shannons for Fire/3rd Party Property/Theft & then Shannons CTP (through loyalty), the CTP may be cheaper; in which case add the two together and see if it is less than the $1015 combined quote you've got already. Keep in mind that Suncorp/Metway & Shannons & AAMI & Just Car & API are all in cahoots with one another now.
