  1. just to give you an indication had my PV35 GT-350 2 years ago, one of the first in the country, insurance was $2.5K pa with a $1k excess on the Gold Coast with business insurance broker. Agreed value $48K, 30yr old, rating one driver just bought a 2006 BMW M3 $1900.00 insurance with $500 excess with NRMA, rating one, 33yr old ... agreed value $90k total insurance scam for imports in Australia I am afraid :-(
  2. Hey there Cyrus as Belgarion said ... threads like this pull all the old school peeps out of the woodwork Glad to see things are working out for you and that you are happy with your family and new home :-) I remember many a time heading out on cruises with you and the other guys back in the day, some of the best memories I have. So many memories ... and photos which I will save for blackmail purposes when you become rich! I also have great memories of the Chilli nights that were instigated by yourself and Marc, it is people like yourself and Marc who make communities and the Skyline community at one stage was a great thing to belong to, because of your and others efforts. Like yourself I have moved on from the import world, I went the other way towards euro as opposed to Oz (although saying that, I really like the VE commodore - so lick me Nissan fanboys) but I didn't have the class to have a goodbye thread. You were an inspiration to many, an honest, genuine guy and I am proud to have called you my friend. Kudos to you and best of luck for the future. cheers Chris

    Omg Wtf!

Hey happy biffday Cyrus and congrats on the house :-)
  6. thats my whole point ... if you are dumb enough to be doing stupid shit where these guys can catch you, and yes that includes when they are following you. Then you are a bigger loser than they are.
  7. that's a class website for sure! However if you are the type of tosser that does stupid shit in residential areas and gets caught by these guys then you are a bigger loser than they are!
  8. Been a while since I have posted on these forums, but I must say that I agree with Fineline to some degree. Having been to a few track days and skid pans etc etc in the past when I used to own my Skylines, I could understand the cost issue when these cars were over $25k to buy and the same amount to mod, but realistically cars such as 32's and 33's are pretty old and in, what must be called, the budget range nowadays and would be no more expensive to mod and maintain than a VY/BA V8 falcodore. $10K or there abouts for a R33 plus another $10k max in mods and you would have a car well worth taking to the track and kicking some ass, hell you can buy 350+rwhp Skylines already done for under 15K if you are really interested in racing and not posing. The funny thing is that there used to be more of them out there on the track when they were more expensive to buy and maintain/mod than there are now. Seems to be as the price has nose dived the demographic of Skyline owners has shifted from enthusiasts to F&F wannabes. Sure there are the serious people out there (like a few people on this forum, you know who you are) who still go to the track and all kudos to them, they are what made and continue to make the Skyline rep. They are a great car and they deserve to be on the track showing people what they can do, not sitting in a carpark showing people how big/shiny the rims are and how many stickers you can slam all over the car. But hey that is just my opinion after moving on from the drivers car I used to love.
  9. is it too late to nominate a lonely V35c?
  10. well that sux, I farkin hate thieves and scammers. Paypal should have more information than just his email address. For him to receive the money from paypal he has to register and verify a bank account or credit card details. That obviously means that there is a paper trail, leading to a bank account which he would have needed ID to open. Don't let it go, it is only a small amount of money, but it is the principal that counts. If he gets away with this how many other people is he going to rip off before he gets caught. The good thing is though if he gets caught and ends up in jail, you can rest satisfied that he will be in for some group lovin' Good luck with finding the prick
  11. I don't think the argument is about not having comprehensive insurance, but more about having no insurance at all! i.e. no third party, fire and theft. I don't care if you decide not to have full comprehensive thats your choice, but if you are driving around without at least third party then you are nothing but a menace. (not meant at anyone in particular, only those without third party)
  12. RIP Brocky .... RIP Steve they weren't saints ... they weren't perfect people but they were Australians, which makes them the best this planet has to offer! A sad week indeed
  13. okay since no one else has done it yet .... That'll buff right out Whats up with this ... is it the new way of saying that I couldn't afford insurance and therefore the car? What happens if you run into a Merc or a porsche or something??
  14. yep I would have left him to burn hey Peta I have stolen your sig and jumped on the band wagon
  15. second on the list after insurance I would say he does have insurance doesn't he???
  16. that is awesome Nissan make one of their best ever engines even better! Could it be, that we are seeing the new GTR engine influences coming out??
  17. great video If we disabled the four wheel drive on those cars I think there may have been some embarrassing results for the GTR's, STI and Evo when compared to the V35 (but as they say, if my auntie had balls she'd be my uncle) Bodes well for the new GTR if things have improved that much
  18. don't you mean 32% of the road toll? they are only 13% of drivers on the road
  19. The coupe looks very much like the Skyline V35c Seeing that the VQ engine has been listed in the "Wards Top 10 Engines" for the last ten years and Jeremy Clarkson is a tosser (whose job I would kill for) I don't see this as a bad thing. The Japs and Yanks have been getting consistent 500+ HP on unopened VQ35's in the last couple of years, you could argue that it is Nissan's/Renaults most sucessful engine yet and yes ... even better than the RB range. The day of the blocky cars like the r31/r32 is over, wind tunnel dynamics have killed those cars and there ilk forever so get over it, it's not the 1980's anymore. just mho!
  20. who the fark are you? Councillor Hottie FTW!!! Pure comedic genius, the like that never has been seen on these forums since p.s. Joshwah really is gay
  21. Happy birthday Warrick, man these birthdays are coming around faster and faster every year!
