  1. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...ec-t305615.html Again not 100% to my taste, and sold, but a good example I'd think.
  2. Bumping this as I'm after another pair. Ideally some that have been fitted to an R32 GTR so have the right O2 sensor thread. Need to come with heat shields. Cheers.
  3. Thanks Terry. I wonder though if it's my daily if the klms will add up and the usual car park scratches will ensue. I'm a whore for modifying too so I'd hate to chop up something valuable (all done tastefully of course but....). Perhaps something like Morgs' would be good. Cheap, straight forward and some good basic mods. 'Not even' a V Spec so who cares how it all ends up (no offence mate ). What can you get for that kind of money from the showroom floor? Stock WRX? I'm guessing a Nur is top $$ too, then with the inevitable mods.....the bills start to add up.
  4. no dramas mate. Bump for 34 info!
  5. paper trick?
  6. Can we keep this specific to R34s? I'm all for people joining threads but you're taking this one somewhere I don't want it to go. Cheers.
  7. OK....here we go.....the switch has flicked......it's becoming real.......oh, my poor bank account.......so can you tell me why VSII Nur? Are there meaningful performance / development improvements over std and / or is it just rarity that will ensure the value is kept as much as possible. I'll do some searching, but I'll bet you can give me a broad steer.
  8. Yeah, thanks for the PM Sean. Thanks for the replies too. Seems the 34 is an option worth investigating. I'll have to figure out the GTR ownership strategy first as I've friggin got 2 already and 3 is too much real estate to handle.... Guess I'll have to kick a few tyres in the near future or get a ride from a forum member to confirm your opinions for myself. I guess I'd also better get acquainted with what R34s are worth and which ones to buy as the money is 'real' with a 34. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...id=1290E328F4D0 Perhaps not exactly my style, but......
  9. I've got a daily R32 and I love it but its age and lack of refinement are beginning to wear a little thin. Ride is a little hard, some squeaks, some rattles, heating and cooling not great, dash / interior looking dated, me getting old etc Having said that I drove my wife's car to work yesterday, and whilst I loved it's comfort and mod cons I felt palpably happy snuggling into the R's seat's warm embrace this morning. So, it's love, but an inconvenient love.... So, I'm wondering if a 300-330 RWKW R34 with the right type of mods would be a step in the right direction for me. How does the overall experience compare to the 32? Does it feel a lot more modern and comfortable but still retain the GTR magic? If you own both or have driven both over extended periods I'd like to hear from you. I hope the R34 does offer more refinement and liveability otherwise I'll have to go and spend a lot more money on a lot less performance from Europe. Is there is a middle ground between my R32 and and an M3 / RS4. Be glad to hear your experiences and opinions. Cheers.

  11. Righto, I had a play with this tonight. All was good but for Step 3, page HA-6, where 34 & 35 were each flashing twice. 34 is Foot and 35 is D/F (defrost defog?) so I'll assume there are faults there? It says that this indicates that 'harness or mode door actuator is faulty'. Any ideas what this means? Further to the above I adjusted the 'difference between indicated temp and sensed temp', as per Step 6. I've set it to +3 which should mean it always gives me 3 degrees more than displayed....See how that goes tomorrow at sparrow's fart. Linking threads.......http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R32-Gtr-Cabin-Heater-t324009.html
  12. Good question. In summer with the AC on, it doesn't blow as cold as you think it should. The car was fairly recently imported last summer so I'll assume the AC was de-gased / re-gased and therefore this part of the AC function is OK. Perhaps this points to your diagnosis......Fan only cold is hard to judge as everything is too hot in summer and too cold in winter, when set to 18 degrees. So, let's say it's the actuators, how do you fix these? Where are they? More to the point, to what kind of person do I take it to for fixing as I'm not the type (unfortunately) to get my hands dirty.
  13. OK, I stumbled across FH last week but couldn't do anything with it. When you say 'outside vent' what do you mean? Where is this located and how do I close it. Forgive me if this is just a dash vent as that would be a stupid question eh... eh. Also, what is the effect of doing this please? What does it achieve?
  14. How do I put it into diag mode? Can you tell me or point me to the thread that assists?
  15. lol. I'll take them....and your crack pipe.
  16. Never heard no rumours..... The car has been locked in my garage since last Nov due to a large house renovation that blocked the driveway. I'm recently back in the house and about a week away from getting her out. It'll be interesting to drive her again as I've driven my other 32 GTR daily for the last 7-8 months and now know her intimately. She runs overly low and stiff Jap Spec Tein SS so the comparison will be interesting. Care to elaborate on the reported issues with the DMS product?
  17. Can anyone post a link to where the thread is for programming the heating / cooling unit as I can't find it. My heater ain't heating properly. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...er-t324009.html
  18. I'm not exactly sure how the speedo works in an R32 GTR but I reckon in the old days a cable ran into the back of a cluster, and drove it. My car makes a small clattering noise from behind the cluster when you're at or above 50kmh. A little like when you put a Star Wars swap card in the spokes of your BMX's spokes (yeah, I never had tuffs......) As you vary your speed down from 50 to zero is goes away. If I'm right that there is a mechanical drive back there, then it sounds almost like the speedo cable is slipping where it connects to the speedo. Almost as if the connection had failed and the cable is rotating in the 'couple'. Geddit? Any ideas as to what it is and how to fix, as it is a little annoying? All gauges have full functionality, including the speedo. It's unlikely the dash has been tampered with as my car shows 187k klms and import papers verify. Thanks in advance.
  19. Yawn. So much prefer to be asking tech questions to get more power or handling....but anyway. My daily GTR's heater doesn't run hot enough. Cold Melbourne mornings over-run it. Says 32 on the dash display but I'd think the heat is equivalent to 24 at best. In all other respects the heating cooling ventilation is working as you'd want. Any ideas on a fix other than replace the 'head unit'?
  20. rsrnurburg.com was where I went from a referral from another forum member. Speak wth Dale who is from the UK and 'gets it'. I got very lucky and went there on a private trackday organsed by Speed Industries (Swiss based) so there were no bikes or other crap to ruin your day. It wasn't cheap, but it was great fun. Don't hire anything you can't pay for if you bin it. Drive carefully. Try to get past the nerves and enjoy yourself. In the wet and for the first time I'd highly recommend something front drive, low power and leave the traction / stability control on. If I did it again I'd try an organise it around a private track day and avoid the plebs.
  21. I've not seen this car. I do not know the owner. I own 2 R32 GTRs and have spent a fair bit of time and money fiddling with them. Gotta say if I was looking to get into a 32 I'd be looking closely at this one. NO buyers for R32 GTRs out there?
  22. Thread revival. Just wondering on these puppies if the shock top adjustment controls both bump and rebound, or just bump, or just rebound? My assumption was that it was only rebound that was controlled but I could be wrong. I guess thinking about it, if the ride gets softer with anticlockwise adjustment then perhaps it does bump, or both. If this can be confirmed that'd be great. Cheers.
