  1. Bumping this thread guys. Show us your good stuff. Must be some out there? Cheers.
  2. Yeah, thanks. JJ are quoting 3mm less on the ID, which seem reasonable and like you say more than enough for what I'm intending. I've ordered the Blitz pipes and will throw in a 3" cat off my other car (which ran 270 with it on) and see how the stock engine responds. Next up will be the addition of -7s, cam wheels, clutch, and possiby dumps if someone comes up with some resonably priced R34 GTR items.
  3. I'll take them 100% if it falls through.
  4. Passengerside headlight? Need a projector style one?
  5. Don't suppose you only need the drivers side? Need a passenger side myself......
  6. Thanks but just looking for the one. A little exe for what I need.
  7. You take them out, recoat with Teflon (I think), put them back in and hope that was the problem. Lots of $$ of fiddling for no sure result. Mugs game owning GTRs.
  8. The coating on the throttle blades is worn. So says my tuner. I have the same problem. STD ECU and PFC. The latter allowed some adjustment
  9. I have a balaclava
  10. Guys, the cost and hassle of fitting new dumps sounds like a pain, especially with O2 sensors not matching etc. I'm more than sure from the feedback that the power figures I'm after will be done on the stock dumps (heck my other car runs 300RWKW and it has stock dumps) but it's a matter of how it feels. Quicker spool up and throttle resonse make the same power feel much nicer so I'm consdering things from this point of view too. Any thoughts on that?
  11. Stolen ffrom an old for sales thread. These are apparently R34 GTR dumps. They don't look SS to me or are they just looking that way after a life time of effing hot gasses flowing through them? Perhaps not R34s at all?
  12. The JJR site claims 80mm outlet and dual 70mm pipes. Are these ODs? Must be. Be a striaght bolt up to the R34 GTR dumps or even the R32 if I decide to go all tight ass on the upgrade?
  13. Ash, thanks for that. Richard, good to hear from you again. I'd love to splash the cash on your suggested set up but the dumps and pipes alone are $2,600 from JJR. My budget is around $1,000 for the lot so perhaps I'll consider: R34 dumps - second hand Catco 3 or 3.5" metal cat Blitz front pipes Should sneak in around my budget. I've got the crawl under the car and check out all the flanges and make sure they're 2 bolt.....
  14. Ash, your advice is appreciated as always. When searching before posting I came across this, which confused me when I saw it as I'm sure you've recently advocated that stock dumps are fine (as per your very recent post in my thread). Is this is case of wisdom changing? I'm not trying to be smart (hopefully you know that), but can you reconcile for me? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...;hl=front+pipes post #3 Knowing you have an RB26 DETT in an R31, are the stock dumps you have from a 32,33 or 34 as I've read the latter 2 have a 10mm ID difference to the 32? Thanks again.
  15. So I'm looking for around the 260-280 rwkw mark from my R32 gtr. I've got some -7 turbos and want to get dumps, front pipes and a cat. The exhaust to the rear of the cat will stay as is. I don't want any dramas in fitting, so the dumps gotta fit the turbs, the front pipes got to fit the dumps and the cat the front pipes etc. As it's not going to be a monster I'm looking for a reasonably cheap way out. JJR have suggested the Blitz front pipe and their std Catco 3" hiflow cat. We didn't discuss dumps and I'm nervous opening up this topic as there seems to be a lot of condradictory info on the merit of going after market. Can you suggest a combo that will meet my requirements? Perhaps it's easiest just to get a system rather than shopping for individual bits? Cheers.
  16. I'll take the headlight. I'll PM you.
  17. and another bump. Nobody want to help out?
  18. Bump as I'm going away for a few days. Hopefully somone can help with my query. Cheers.
  19. Seconded. Thanks.
  20. They are billet hubcentric with the correct diameter centre hub. I know correct offset wheels are the best solution but to my knowledge you can get R32 GTR rims in a +20 offset , so spacers it has to be. I personally think the original rims are beautiful, and amazingly light. Just want to toughen up the stance. For the amount they are, I'll give them a shot and if the tramlining and handling piss me off I'll sell them at a loss on this very forum. I'm stil not sure about 20 or 25mm.....
  21. I know that a 9 x 18" + 20 rim sits beautifully in the guards as I've got them on my other car. By my calcs this makes the outer edge of the rim stick out another 22.7mm compared with the std 8" + 30 rim (half the extra inch, then add 10mm for the offset difference). I also know a TE37 rim at 9.5" and +22 is ther largest fitment for a 32 GTR (within reason and in my book anyway) and sits out 27.05mm (again, half of the extra 1.5" then add 8mm for the offset difference) So, it would apprear that a 25mm spacer sits between the 2 scenarios I've described above. Question is, on the original 16" rim, will the 25mm spacer look wrong? Would 20mm suit the look of the car better? Your thoughts are appreciated. Any pics you have would be interesting to see, especially if anyone has spaced out the std R32 GTR rims. Cheers.
  22. Thanks Deano. Yeah, non sequential turbs, you'd want it that way. Bump for the crew who know the answers....
  23. So I have a set of -7 Garretts which have standard wastegate actuators. I'm not sure what this means they are set to, but I understand it's quite low (circa 10psi). If I'm planning on running 16-18 psi then do these need modification before they get installed? Or is this handled by fiddling with the boost control mechanism (solenoid thingy near the plenum). R32 GTR running standard ECU, no EBC. Makes sense to me that they would, but as I've not done this before and fiddling with GTRs is a suprise-fest for the under-educated, thought I'd better ask first, spend money later. Thanks.
