  1. Black car looks like a nightmare. However, I picked up a really good R32 GTR for $17k, RWC, 1 year's rego from a dealer and it's not perfect but I reckon it's a peach. Nismo rear arms, near new Tein SS, no gutter rash, no rips tears, engine really quiet, overall very clean straight forward original example. Had 177klms on it but I dare say they all do in reality. Was well looked after. So you can buy sub $20k, but taking it to the track.......ooooh, dunno about that. Fingers crossed.
  2. Interesting. In your opinion, is it worth that kind of dough? I've recently seen a Aust delivered example in mint original condition for $65k (ish) with around 100k klms on it.
  3. Ollie, I'm the bloke who called you...Speak to you Monday.
  4. I did have another thread going but it included a headlight which I now have. Hopefully the title on this thread gets me a better result. Ideally with heat shields. Please PM or reply in this thread if you have any. Thanks.
  5. Well the Blitz pipe and the Nissan 3" cat are on and it's much nicer to drive. Nothing major, but spools quicker, rides out tall gears at low revs much nicer, generally feel smoother. The old set up really felt like an engine that the turbos were stuffing more in than the zorst could get out. Felt all strangled and pent up. That feeling is gone now. Very happy so far. I'll give it a proper squirt on the way home to see how she pulls taller gears. Be good to drive tomorrow morning when I'm not 'waiting' for the 'extra' performance. Can't wait for the dump, turbs, ecu etc etc. Have to wait until after Santa comes for that...
  6. If there are O2 sensors in there now then I plan to run them in the new dumps. I would not get mates rates and I'm sure as hewll not doing it myself. It's now a question of how much and more importantly who will do it correctly so the R32 sensors fit the thread and the depth.........Knew this would be a pain...
  7. Pete, I'm going to get these sent to my work. If they're being posted I can only use a PO box. If couriered then only the physical address. Which shall I quote? Also, can you confirm the total asking price and the deposit amounts? I won't go into why I don't know, I just don't......Finally please can you confirm I'm getting a 'race' set. Thanks. EDIT....is it $395 / 2 + $20
  8. I'll never know if the flanges are true until I've bought them.....
  9. They look a little rusty and one flange has a stud and the others don't? Your expert opinions are needed fairly quickly. Cheers.
  10. Bumping this thread. I've got me my headlight but still need my dumps, ideally with heat shields. Don't make me go to Yahoo Japan
  11. Hi Michael, why the sale of the GB so soon after you've spent good cash on it? Push or pull please?
  12. So I saw a set on the weekend and it was interesting as there are a few different types. My car is a 92 model and I've attached a picture of the headlight that needs replacing. Of note are the following points: The parker has a horizontal / vertical pattern in the glass faceting The faceting over the projector actually overlaps the projector (like an eyebrow) as at arks over the top of it The projector ring is not that pronounced The projector lens is relatively clear I've attached a couple of photos, the wine one is the one I want (92 model), and the silver one (90 model) is an example of the following differences, which I do not want: The parker has a swirling circular pattern The faceting over the projector DOES NOT overlap the projector The projector ring is more pronounced The projector lens is grey by comparison I've also included a close up of the swirling pattern in the parker. I'm lead to beleive there is an N1, an N1 look alike, an older and a newer projector style. I think I'm looking for the newer projector style given my 90 model is not the one I want. Does it need to be this hard?........
  13. Yes there are inner and outer lower ball joints from Nissan. Different part numbers and prices left to right so be sure to specify. $150 sounds about right.
  14. Exactly what I was thinking.
  15. http://www.urbandictionary.com/ I did work that one out for myself. The above link is recommended for old blokes and understanding yoof talk. So their roads are different and they....?.......narrow the track of their cars?....make them on the piss?
  16. I don't get what you're saying. Translate plz.
  17. and here are the pics. What are your thoughts on the overall look and the passenger side rear? I'm overall pretty happy on reflection.
  18. Thing is that not all of us have the knowledge to match our passion. I can't get enough of my GTRs but my knowlege is limited, albeit growing, but ultimately I'm too busy doing something else to ever become an expert. If you've got the cash and the passion then why not I reckon. It's risky as you need to pick the right people to put your faith in, but once found, then away you go.
  19. Yeah, could be on the piss, and I think I'll start there. Maybe get a wheel alignment done and see where that leads.
  20. Be the opposite for me. The passenger side / left wheel sit more proud in the guard. By more camber I'm assuming you mean neg?
  21. I'll take it for the uninitiated a panel shop would be a good place to ge this done. Any idea why this is a common prob on Skylines?
  22. Pls explain how one can be proud of the other by 10-20mm? I do not know the history of the car but based on general condition I'd not think it's had panel work done, so should this be expected from the factory? Also, how to pull your guards? (out if interest)
  23. Well I plumped for 20mm and I'm glad I did. I'm not 100% sure I've done the right thing but 25 would have been the wrong call. Guards are pumped but I'm not sure it doesn't look a little funny being that they're 16s on there. You'd certainly not want a std ride height with these spacers.....I thin kthe front is better suited to 20mm and the rear would have been better with 15mm.....The funny things is that the passengerside rear sticks out in the guard more than the driver's side. I'm pretty sure I noticed the same thing with my other GTR with different rim fitments......I wonder why that is? I'll try and get some pics up later. Oh, yeah, no adverse affects on ride or handling. No tramlining either.
