    I've left my run too late to organise these. Driver Dynamics are booked out to Feb 2011 and I note that the SAU champship was over at Winton last weekend? I'm aware of Winton on Friday's but it's a friggin long way there and back on semis, and an expensive tow if it goes wrong mechanicallyt. It's been a 'dry' year for me and track and I want some action . Any suggestions? Through WRX or Masarati clubs? Thanks.

  4. Can anyone see any dramas buying / running this product. Parallel import from the USA. Does it make any difference? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Mobil-1-Engine-Oil-...=item27aff2f3e1 Autobarn etc pricing is $95 for 5l and this stuff is $65 (plus freight) for 5.68l. The only (non technical) down side I can see is the packaging not being in litres to slightly harder to know what's gone in - I'm really scratching for problems now.... Advice?

  8. I bought a 32 GTR from them and it is a peach. Dealt with Shane who seems dodgy at first glance but is actually a straight forward good guy to deal with. They've always been helpful since the purchase too. I got $1k off the asking price.

  11. I'm sure the answer is in this (massive) thread, but can someone let me know what oil to use for a GTR change. It's unopened 290RWKW, street diven, good condition. I'm guessing full synth. If you can give me a few brands and recommended weight that'd be good. I'm buying from Autobarn as it's next door to the place doing the change, so hopefully available from there. Ryco filter OK?

  15. Rack rate is $700 from Link. Streeter was $540. Purchased . Next, rear diff is leaking and is making a small bearing noise. I'll prob need to fix this up when I roadworthy the car to get it into my name (currently in the business' name) before it gets all caged up. My options are reco or get some sort of new LSD like a Nismo or Kaaz etc. I'm not sure what gets reco'ed generally. Just the bearings, lsd 'clutches' and reset crown and pinion for backlash? If I go the reco route, are there kits you can buy? What do they cost? Seals, bearings, plates (and yes Richard I'm considering what you've got for sale)? Cost of a new centre is about $1500 plus R&R, so I'd hope the reco route would be significantly cheaper. Thoughts / suggestions? Just take it to a diff reco joint?

  18. All very much along the same lines, although you should have seen what Tim wrote! (kidding!) . If you're a rich driver, you pay. If not then you share cost as you can and as you see fair. Depends on experience of the nav and which way the wind is blowing. I just wanted to be fair to me and my nav in this conversation and will give him each of your responses so he can make a judgment himself and we'll talk it through from there. Again, thanks.
  19. For those who I PMed re nav cost sharing I thank you all for your considered and detailed responses. Thought I'd post up as you'll all talk amongst yourselves and find out I sent the same PM to several of you. I figured it would be fairly subjective topic, so great to get a varied response. Just didn't want people thinking I was being disingenuous. Cheers.
  20. Well, there is some stuff to think about. All great suggestions - thank you. Fuel pressure is not something I'd considered. Last I spoke to my engine builder he said the stock GTR fuel pump is a great unit and not to waste money upgrading. Now, that comment may well have been considering street and occassional track use, so may not be accurate. What say the experts on fuel delivery. Replace the stock fuel pump with? My car is running nearly 300rwkw. Not sure what is legal under the regs?

Also, do they come with / will I need to replace / upgrade senders etc?   23. Guys, I'll be fitting oil and water temp and oil pressure gauges. Can anyone give me some feedback on what brands to look at and where to buy? I'm interested in mounting options too. If they can be made to mount in the (fairly) useless OEM triple DIN gauges go then so much the better. Thank you.
  24. I'm going to have my engine out soon enough and I'm inclined to replace all those little hoses whilst I'm at it. I've check around and the most obvious place to buy is Just Jap who have full silicon kits (available in black, which is important) for a BNR32 for $299. I'm doing this as a reliability mod so I'd appreciate some feedback on the quality of these kits (for motorsport application) and any sugestions of alternate suppliers I could consider. Thanks in advance.
