^^ I am on NS as well so I would have seen you name a few times. Hehe! Any spec's on the drift pig, (RB25 / 30) engine mods, suspension setup, tyres... Where about's do you drift?
-
Ah... Dori Garu from NS, I remember you from NS. LOL! Welcome to SAU! Your cars look tuff and make sure to post progress pics
-
I thought your car was stock now..? LOL!

Haven't heard much from Melbourne Performance Centre... Racepace is highly recommended on SAU, Ben is like the GTR Specialist and you better have a big wallet You tell him what you want, he will tell you straight up what he will do / recommend and what it will cost. Other workshop like, RE Customs Status Tuning Chasers Motorworks Creatd Motorsports Le Mans Automotive Are great too.

Try and find a R34 GTT with one on, save you buy it Probably cost you $250 and up. White car Black Wheels = Fvcking Tuff! Any decent Japanese wheels would look good. Nismo LMGT 4 or Volk TE 37. 2nd hand about $2500 and up. Yeah, 3" turbo back is the way to go, but make sure it is a quiet one to save you from any troubles. $1500 - $2000 Don't bother, unless you can shield your pod off and/or leave your stock air intake to feed air to the pod... OR Upgrade your panel filter in your stock air box to a high flow APexi or K&N one, $100 - $250 and get a front mount intercooler. From $550 to about $1000+ Depending which State you from, 1 intake mod only... APexi AVC-R (Actuator Valve Controller Type R) from $550 to about $660 Some ppl prefer the BLITZ or HKS one, they all do a similar job. An APexi Power FC will allow you to tune your Air / Fuel ratios Monitor your Engine RPM, Ignition Timing, Vehicle Speed, Air Flow Voltage (Pressure Sensor Voltage), Injector Duty Cycle, Boost, Knocking Level, Battery Voltage, Intake Air Temp and Water Temp. I think it also has an inbuilt Boost Controller. From $970 to about $1000+ Make sure you find a decent R34 GTT, test drive it and hear our for any noises and bring your mechanic if you don't know what you are looking at.

34 Gtr - New To Skylines
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to sab0r's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Cool! Having said what I have said above, a Ferrari would cost more than a R34 GTR LOL! I have not heard of any rust near the brake lights... Maybe in the rear wheel arches but thats about it. From an Importers point of view and from memory on what my friend told me as he is an importer, never buy a car from the North of Japan, cuz it snows up there, they sprinkle salt on the roads to soak up the snow / water / prevent a layer of ice. You take the car for a drive on a salty / wet road, the sait gets flicked up to the undercarriage of the car and over time the car will slowly rust out. Not good. R34 GTR's are usually a bit more well looked after, as they are slightly newer car to the R32 and R33 GTR's but you do get some that are not worth looking at. There is a lot to look out for but just listen out for any engine noises, take it for a drive and hear out for anything. I drove my friends N/A Supra and it had a Getrag 6 Speed and it sounded quite fine. Quite smooth in fact. R34 GTR gearboxes are nice and quiet. -
Did you get her number?!

You must have seen A LOT to post it 4-5 times.

Arc Induction Box Or Pod Help
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to KEM.D's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
An ARC air box and a pod are similar as they both expose the sponge filter. Unless you have a cold air intake directing air to it, both will suck in hot air. You best stick to your stock airbox and upgrade the panel filter inside with a APexi / K&N high flow filter. Or what XRATED said, shield it off with a cold air intake. -

I looks nice from the photos, but you best go see it in person and bring your mechanic along with you if you don't know what your looking for. KamikazeNinja34 (Cass) bought her R33 GTR from them and it was in a good condition. -
Spotted Aaron from Import Monster on the way to work on Chandler HWY. Tuff looking white R34 GTR! Was following you in my Rolla. Haha!!

34 Gtr - New To Skylines
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to sab0r's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Depending on how light or heavy your accelerator foot is, I can get 250 km's and use less then half a tank and try to stretch it out to 450 - 500 km's a tank daily driving and rarely boosting it. But it's not fun to drive like that hahaha! -
34 Gtr - New To Skylines

No worries! High maintenance, is a few factors of the car itself. Just to name a few, for example... A GTR will cost you more in fuel, must run 98 RON fuel and the its about a 60+ litre tank. You got to use a good engine oil, that already cost more then cheap engine oil. Since it being a high performance car, it can be subjected to more wear and tear. You drive quicker, you step in the brakes a bit harder, you brake pads and tyres will wear quicker + the weight of a R34 GTR (1540 kg)... Lets say it would be nicer if it was lighter... R34 GTR's have stock 18" wheels so tyres will cost more and you want good tyres not cheap shit + you will need to do a 4 wheel alignment since the car is 4WD / AWD and that will add to the cost. Parts and performance upgrades will cost + your mechanics labour to install it unless you can do it yourself. Even tho performance upgrades are only done once, the "Power Bug" can hit and the owner will always want more power. More Power = More Mods = More Money. Not to put you off buying one, but as long as you keep on top of things and general service it every 3000k's / 5000k's, keep the car stock or lightly modified, you will be fine. All cars will cost you money, some cost more then others. Cool! -
Ppl in Japan usually change the timing belts around 80,000 km mark, some times 60,000 km mark. Not too sure why they do it earlier tho... Once you get to 100,000 km, just change the timing belt regardless. Not too sure about the gauges, but I know NISMO gauges usually have a white background. Just get NISMO or Defi ones.

Best Ways To Extract Power From N/a V35 Legally?
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to VNS 24's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
^^ Ah yeah you do to. Z33, Haha!! That's a good write up. I was gonna suggest a HKS or Kakimoto, but Fujitsubo and Nismo sound more familiar towards the 350Z and V35. Cool.
