Fujitsubo's are great, not that much louder then stock and gives you better flow. + it is lighter in weight so your car will have more power, at the same time pushing less weight = Faster.

Hah! All cars are based on a base model built up. You will never find a R34 GTR on a rally circuit as that is what the EVO's purpose built weapon is. GTR = Tarmac EVO = Rally And Mitsubishi have developed an Active Yaw Control and adapted a S-AWC System with 3 choices of Tarmac / Gravel / Snow. Both cars can be heavily tuned, just depends on what purpose you want it for. Having driven an EVO VI TME I feel the GTR has better top end due to it being an inline 6 as opposed to an inline 4. But then again we should be talking EVO VIII MR / EVO IX, which the engine will be tweaked slightly better with every next model up. Inline 4 and Inline 6, both have their own characteristics.

If it is the E36 M3 and you want the 6 speed, then you will need to find a 1996 - 1999 Euro Model + that will come with a 3.2lt inline 6. The E46 M3 and R34 GTR will have 6 speeds stock. Power range? Light mod? Can't say much about the cost of modding the M3's but I assume it is in the similar price range with the R34 GTR. You'd want good quality parts / upgrades so prepare to send a bit, IMO. I am yet to had a drive in a M3, I really do like the E36 and E46 M3's tho. I remember the 1st time I saw the E36 M3 (1993) and thought how nice of a car it was and still till today, a nicely done up E36 M3 looks great but it is a rare sighting tho... Half the time it is all riced up E36 318i's. As for performance, the spec's are pretty much inline ball with the GTR. But the E36 M3 will be the lightest of all then the R34 GTR then the E46 M3. Boost controller / ECU tune, exhaust on the R34 GTR. M3 you can do exhaust, air intake, ECU tune. + it depends on how much money you want to spend

You can get a silencer made up for the muffler but make sure it is welded in not bolted in or they can knock it back saying it can be removed and not pass it. Or Get you mechanic to fabricate a Resonator in the exhaust system. Or Get the stock R32 GTS-T exhaust, put on a compliance cat (non high flow) and fabricate a Resonator if needed to lower the dB level as much as possible. Once past, return back to how you want it.

^^Ah yeah, your right on that one too. S15's came with T28 Garrett's, but was not sure if it was ceramic or ball bearing. Thanks for clearing that up.

From what I know R32 / R33 GTR's came stock with twin T28 Garrett Turbo's with Ceramic internals. Non ball bearing too, as only the R34 GTR V-Spec II N1 / Nur / M-Spec Nur came with Steel Ball Bearing Turbo's.
