  1. sorry mate, all i knew is that both times my car made that sound was cos i thrashed the shit out of it, and then it blew. Then i got it fixed and it eventually happened again, this time when i was driving more sensibly. If u r really interested, tell the owner u will buy the car if he gets it fixed b4 hand, and then u will pay the asking price, otherwise tell him to knock of 1500 for a new gbox.
  2. Well i will speal to blackwood auto and dyno and also speak to unichip. Basically i know of another r33 similar mods and power that also ran into a brick wall like i did at this power. It seems that even thou the unichip is an intercepter, somehow the ecu can still override the settings on it. boj01: z32 and r33 afm are both same size in diameter. Also im not sure if the z32 can be compatible with standard ecu. Also why would i want a safc when i have sometihn that both tunes fuel and ign with shitload more resolution then what a safc has. The only beneift of the safc would be that it is compatible with the z32 afm. I was thinking the same thing about adding a resistor, it would obviously effect the whole rpm range, so during closed loop, the car would not run well i assume. can u explain to me how to setup a variable rate resistor, as i have done basic elec eng, but as im a mech eng, we only did basic elec shit. thanks guys
  3. well shaun at boost worx will do safc tune for 145. He is a good tuner so that is a thought. Mike Cash, i know what u are talkin about, and sense i will ahve the same trouble trying to get my money back. If it comes to it i will use the law... Consumer affairs may want to know about this. maybe u should type up a letter from ur lawyer saying u will take them to court. Most people pay up then. I know how u feel when u spend all the money u save up, and now think that its turned to absolute shit.
  4. i just dont get how u think u have 264 fwhp when ur car is a 3l, non turbo, and u told me mods were a twin throttle kit, and cams. u said once u open these babys up, there is shitloads of power to gain. Yet again i disagree cos ive been thru the whole modifying nas before and i tell u cams exhaust twin trottle kits do basically shit all. maybe 10-20% max. Finally, when there is another magna that is turboed, shitload more mods then ur car, and only has 125fkws, ie 167whp, it is just too hard too believe that ur car makes the power u claim. Basically what im gettin at is that i have nothin against ur car, its just i hate it when people bs. If u remember, and u prolly dont, the first thing i said to u when i came up to u at nats was, man ur car sounds ****en loud. Then u went on about dynos and hp figures. I then left thinkin what a load of crap. If u just told me the truth, then i would of thought, hey its good to b different to everyone else. Do u get what i mean? not having a stab at u, its just that a car with as much power as u claim does not get bad ets or even low ts like u do. Either u have been lied to or u are bsing us.
  5. from what ive been reading, units like the safc trick the ecu by modifying the voltage of the afm signal. Since the Unichip has pre programmed units set for ign and fuel, why cant i just put a few resitors in the voltage signal wire so that the ecu will always only see a few volts less then what is actually happeing. Even thou the afm is still maxing out, the preset figures will not be over ridden by the ecu. anyway i will post some dyno graphs so u can see what i mean.
  6. Currently my car is having lots of problems, this could be related to my AFM maxing out. I am running a unichip ecu, and we think that at over 5500rpm, the afm maxes out, and hence pulls shitloads of timing. Therefore im gettin a power curve which looks like a zig zag loosing +- 20-30 rwkws. So my quesiton, is there any way to fool the afm so that the ecu reads a lower voltage. Is it possible to put some resisitors in the circuit or anything like that? I will be searchin for an answer. It seems everyone just upgrades to a z32, but im not entirely sure a z32 will work with the standard ecu and unichip. If i cant resolve this problem, i wil have to purchase another ecu, and all my hard earned $$ will go down the drain
  7. things will change guys, as the bridgestones are ferraris weakest link. The conditions today favoured them hugely. Dont expect this too happen too much thou in the future. However was a very impressive race by ferrari. I cant believe how crap Mclaren wer. Even DC at the end was askin the channel 10 commentator if they had any ideas cos Mclaren have none. Alonso was excellent as was Button. Wish he finished ahead of montoya aswell.

  10. haha as if he doesnt just eat the cat... Joel u missed out on a great day. Also it wasnt really a burnout as such, just lots of rev limiting. Ohwell. After the dyno day i have to think about how im gonna get relaible boost, so im ditchin the ebc already and goin to demand my money back. Do u think shaun from boost worx will be a witness to say it doesnt work?

  17. we shouldnt blame someone for being good or better then the rest. and honestly, he derserves it. He is so devoted to ferrari, helping them change so much to the team they are now. Not only that, but he works so hard off the race track, keeping fit more then anyone else in f1. Basically he is as devoted as u can be. He deserves to b top. Dont think though he will be unbeatable. Far from it. This season will be the closest id say, and it will be hard for ferrari and schuey to win again.
  18. the sound the car makes is tellin u that it has been thrashed badly and is dying. In my old car, it was doing this, and blew twice. Definately not worth touchin unless its fixed b4 hand.

  20. yeh i had a goodish day, man im still tired and still pissed off about my car. man what a gay dyno graph. timmayy, my car has heaps of fricken problems, i dont know what it is, but as soon as the power goes over 5500rpm, the power goes like a zig zag, ie +20, - 30, and so forth to readline. it is very wierd. shaun thinks its the ebc. needless to say, im goin back to the place that tuned it and demanding my money back. The thing does not work on my car, and for the money i spent to tune it, it should b fricken perfect!!! BTW i waited for u for ages man, but i was so tired so i left. Did anyone like my second gearies???

    sorry the thread is changing directions but i wanted to ask more qs about canade a usa. With these 15 yo cars coming in like gtrs and such, all the domestic crap and hondas will get owned so badly. Why do people do up hondas like the do in usa. I mean there are so many of them? Do people actually think they are fast. Stock gtrs would prolly eat most things on the street.
