  1. 15 psi for 40 000km is all i have to say noticeabley runs about 10-15 degrees hotter but thats not the end of the world. Nethign over 15psi seems to hit boost cut but just on 15psi seems fine day in day out lol for a daily R33. Turbo still going strong but has since been set to 10psi for fuel consumption savings lol plus doesnt liek 15psi and stock smic oh hot days on cold days though 15psi all day. At the end of the day the turbos are cheap and everyone would rather upgrade their stock turbo eventually neways.
  2. Torana's & Trans-am back in the day lol its nice to know they all rusted away now lol
  3. I think u just get used to lunching rear tryes liek 3 pairs rears to 1 pair of fronts just day to day driving thats wat i find. Plus i want to no who gets traction in the wet in a Gts-T???? learn to throttle steer or ur just about kerb bash everytime u do a U.
  4. Why does everyone want gay stainless steel manifolds that crack etc heat fatigue, 6 boost manifolds and ones made from steel are 10 times better in theyr can b heated and cooled alot more times without damage plus they have been found to retain more heat and decrese spool up times of liek 2-5% percent from memory because they retain more heat the exhaust gas flow is quicker theirfore making the turbo spool faster, the only downside in weight thats all but if ur actually going to drive ur car ie do afew km's in it wouldnt u want something that is going to last.... Thanks Rory note a link for some 6 boost manifolds: http://www.horsepowerinabox.com/HPIAB2/category15_1.htm
  5. We custom rolled my guards with a piece of round metal pipe lift car up put pipe in then roll the car with handbrake off worked well for free and about 5 mins work each front been done to au falcon too with custom paint worked quite well, i was like maybe abit dodgey but once it was doene came up a treat and 10 minutes i can do lol
  6. I have a part number from nissan that might help you out #nis-racenads lmao amusing
  7. I got a jim berry full monty like 3800lbs clamping pressure in daily driver skyline been in for like 40 000km mostly highway some day to day traffic and its not bad to drive people who drive comment its much same as a button clutch really but however is enough slip their to take off from getting pulled over without chirping the tryes im happy enough with the clutch though i like shuddering around lol First 1000km seemed the clutch was even more on/off before clutch material wore in. Also full monty comes with modified throw-out bearing or watever it is exact same feeling as normal clutch in pressing down the peddle just instead of slip just goes bang in lol nice reasurring grab i think makes for amusing watchign when tryes places are trying to put car on hoist for new tryes hahahaha *note some tire wear may occur from clutch usage lol*
  8. I dont no how u can get over jap cars besides like the instant u must b a hoon, but dont we think that wen we see a commonwhore with 20's on the front and 15" steelies on the back with wire stickign out hahaha..... If i ever get another car a nice aussie built XR8 or XR6T is the go ute of course or wat about Mitsi Evo's thier all nice cars to drive my mate has a BMW 318i convertibale with liek 200 000km f**ked leather and some gay 4 cylinder im like wow 20 for this piece of crap lol its like the car has asthma lol his like i get good economy im like ud want too it such a sack of shit lol liner gets heaps more looks and costs roughly the same i no which one id rather b in..
  9. Hmm well honestly it is up to the police to enforce the laws they see fit i had my skyline for over 1 year no fines no defects or nething liek that, got pulled over by highway cops etc P plates fell off u no those shit static type off back window and all i was told was too goto the nearest servo and replace them with new ones no problems looked over car and on the way more to do with atitude i think then nethign else. However a week after having my full liscense driving in the rain couldnt see nething doing like 30-40 km down main street road in 50km zone some drunks decided to walk out i didnt see them as was raining so hard they noticed and stepped back off the road, so i drive further only to b surrouded by no less then 1 police van and 2 highway police cars. Im like um okay the copper then procedes to yell thru the window about trying to run over people (note people got arreseted for dd) im like why would i try and run people over, continues to yell and scream etc im just normal coz i their is no possibilty to get booked had 4 people in car to back my story up. He then procedes to talk aggressivley and to look over my car trying to defect me for stock intercooler and correctly mounted guages and not stock exhaust but far from super loud, neways after this and like writing statements down a friend metntioned he knew the police station like head guy and he was goign to ring him strangley enough all the cops left and nothign ever happened..... this was only time was fully rorted by police for wat goign under speed limit and not guessing wat drunk people are goign to do. Other then that though had no problems with police on my P's only wen i was off them i get rorted. But has neone noticed wen ur by urself cops arent in ur face as wen ur cars packed full of drunk mates trying to tell cops how to do jobs. My 2 cents.
  10. Very interesting wat stuff did u have to move to actually mount the gt30 power steering apears to b moved and washer bottle was that all or is aircon removed to run bottom intercooler piping aswell has to b moved? Interested in maybe doing something similiar in the future just wondered how involved it was from say fitting a normal high flow turbo ie manifolds etc wat sorta budget did u have on this ? thanks ROry
  11. Um im surprised noones susgested it yet but wouldn't u atleast pull old motor out pull the head off etc and inspect engine damage before writing the old engine off im sure a new set of pistons and getting the cylinder bored, 2nd hand gtr rods etc wouldnt cost a hell of alot more then 2nd hand motor and atleast u no if u looked after the old motor ur not getting another motor which has already doen some work as opposed to rebuilt orginal motor thats been looked after. But if the motors bad needs headwork etc to repair mayaswell throw it away. thanks just my opnion Rory
  12. Surely it carnt b hard to get a rb25 normal or the neo version they do have freight companys in united states im sure just import something from oz if its so difficult to get something in the states, i dont see the problem does neone else?
  13. LOL wow carnt believe these rims didnt sell in liek 1 day their sex if i had cash i would have got them straight away.....argh lol so cheap too
  14. I dont no why neone would run a grade 5 sparkplug in a skyline is way to HOT!! ie more prone to detontion due to higher running temperatures the sparpklug itself will run at a higher temperature too!! something liek a grade 6 or 7 sparkplug shouldnt b an issue due to the nature of a turbo motor running inherintly lean. ive heard figures of aircooled motors runnning 15 degrees hotter per grade of sparkplug as we all no a skyline motor is water cooled but if u ever opened a bonnet after a drive ull no that the motor doesnt run cold at all if nething super hot... running a higher number being colder 7<>5 hotter maybe experince fouling of sparkplugs etc but in a nicely running skyline a 7 grade sparklpug shouldnt b an issue also does not really affect coldstart though motor will run a couple of degrees colder. however ive always noticed colder plugs to increase fuel economy. Thanks Rory
