[group Buy] Acpt Carbon Fibre Tailshafts Any Model! $1400us
Willo replied to Angus Smart's topic in Group Buys
Why are we paying more? No one has given reason why we should be paying more yet. Until I have read the correspondence from the supplier I won't be paying anything. Where exactly are the driveshafts at the moment and what amounts have been paid to who? -
[group Buy] Acpt Carbon Fibre Tailshafts Any Model! $1400us
Willo replied to Angus Smart's topic in Group Buys
There are two options. 1. A full refund including original deposit ($1400AUD total). 2. Delivery of the driveshaft with no further payment. If one of these are not met PM me details of the supplier and all your communications with the supplier. If the driveshafts have been made then I expect a response from the supplier within 5 business days. Based on the response (or lack of) and the communication you provide I will decide what action to take from there. -

You answered your own question. You were quoted $1400AUD so that's the price. It is not your problem the dollar moved. It is the supplier's responsibility to allow for currency movements, anticipate movement given the length of time needed to make the shafts, and if necessary absorb losses in their margins. I'm sure if the dollar went up we wouldn't be getting a further discounted price. -

Mark built my motor and it's copped a hiding for the last 2 years without missing a beat, and he's the only person I trust to tune it. There are a number of 500+hp GT-Rs around Brisbane with Godzilla Motorsport motors and tunes. His pricing is generally competitive with all the popular workshops but you'll know it's quality work. Best bet is to give Mark a call and have a chat about what you want. A 7 second drag GT-R can't be wrong.

Depends on the job. Is it a ground up tune from scratch? Does it have a base tune? Has it already been tuned and just needs a touch up? Best bet is to call Mark and have a chat.

Mark isn't quite on the north side but definately worth the drive. Godzilla Motorsport at Tingalpa. He has tuned plenty of Power FCs including mine. Mark has just upgraded to the latest digitial windows AWD dyno as well, the first in Brisbane.

Mark backed it up with a 7.97 @ 163mph again today. -
I was told to try QDS as well. Also Autobarn sell TurboSmart hoses but they'll obviously be more expensive.

Is anyone going? What's the easiest place to pre-purchase tix? 7-11? Lawsons?

I think I used the big centre bolt but I don't think it really matters.

From memory: - Undo your power steering reservoir and move it out of the way, just gives a bit more room to move. - Remove the hard lines above the heat shields (have something ready to catch the water). - Remove your front pipe if you haven't already. - Heat shields off. - Oil/water lines off. - Intake off the front of the turbos off (extra long extension bar highly useful for the rear turbo). - Undo the nuts between the turbo flange and manifold but don't completely remove them. - Undo the top 6 manifold bolts. - Drop the turbos down as far as you can without undoing the bolts and with a long extension put it in between the turbo flange and manifold to undo the bottom 6 manifold bolts. - Completely remove turbo flange/manifold bolts now and lift out manifolds. - Undo O2 sensors and lift out turbos. Sounds easy when you say it like that Like I said, this is from memory only so I may have missed something.
