  1. Nothing will beat elbow grease Use a good quality, dust free cloth too - I have just 'upgraded' to Meguires microfibre one and it seems to make it a little easier (got mine as a bonus with some other Meguires products). BTW Don't use window cleaner on tinted windows (or the de-misting strips for that matter), it will have a detrimental effect on the tint long term.
  2. Will an emanage do stuff that a unichip won't? Or vica versa? Specific features, and are they usable features? Oh, and does the emanage have a boost (dual) controller somewhere in it? Or is that in all the extra screen and hand controllers?
  3. I have put 64.8l in my series 1... She stopped and started (stuttered) 50m from the petrol station, thought I was going to have to push her..... BTW I run just shy of 400km a tank, week in week out, just as she hits reserve (the light) and always have 8-10l left in the tank. No mods 'cept air (exhaust on the way) and I know/can see that she is running way rich.
  4. The consistant loss across all three tyres is odd. Did you use a service station gauge when you inflated them to 35 the first time? They are notorously inaccurate and unreliable, I have a little $20 tyre gauge that I leave in the glovebox for checking pressure (in fact, only use it - dont even bother with the servo gauge most of the time). BTW the new 'digital' gauges at some servos appear to be crap most of the time too...
  5. Details on the leather gearstick boot? Colour? From the 33? why selling? If its good for my 33 - shotgun!
  6. "and if u can grab hold of armoural wipes for the inside of your car - do so! They are like baby wipes but you go over you vinyl/leather dash and steering wheel etc with them and they really do a good job specially if you car is sitting in sun all day." In my opinion Armourall is rubbish - ie too greasy/slimy, you can always tell if someone has used it. The Meguiars plastic cleaner is better, lasts longer, looks more 'natural' and you wont slide right out of your car.....
  7. "cant go past the meguiar's range on good paint work" Hear Hear!! No two ways about it. Takes effort (elbow grease and lots of it) but is very worth it.
  8. walkoau, you got any pics? Got a front end already? (I have a 4dr too and am keen to see what it looks like)
  9. Great idea, bad timing for those of us under the thumb cough cough...ahem...with prior commitments:)
  10. Wow! It must be top stuff if this fella says so... "Royal Purple is the best protection that money can buy!" - Mike Kloeber, crew chief for Clay Millican, two-time IHRA Top Fuel Champion and winner of 11 event titles in 2002. ....sarcasm people, sarcasm. It is good though. http://www.royalpurple.com/rethome/rethome.shtml BTW Gimme rally any day
  11. Royal Purple. Not the cheapest, but not outrageous. Spec'ed for drag and 'dumb racing in a circle' cars in the USA. Bit hard to find, but worth the effort.
  12. Good job son!! Will we get a gearbox episode?
  13. Get on to them to print a correction. They are not up themselves so much that they will not print a correction.
  14. Sorry, I can't help mate. I thought I bought a completly stock car- six months later I was ferreting around under the dash and, whats this?....oh look, a turbo timer...... :Paranoid:
  15. sometimes if you run the a/c on recirculate for too long it will start to smell more because of the bacteria bizzo......
  16. If it's Saturday, I can't make it - will be busy at the Pearl Jam concert....
  17. Show at least some caution on Mt Gravatt, peoples, particularly if you are not familar with it. As a local, have seen it take victims in the dry, let alone in wet. Safety rant done... see y'all tonight...
  18. Do you mean centre console bin (and lid with a broken latch)??...
  19. OUCH!! You people pay too much insurance...or at least, way too much excess.
  20. AON Risk Services. On the up side, WELL under a thousand bucks. On the down side, haven't had to make a claim, so no idea what the service is like. On the up side, small brokerage firm means personal service and hopefully, not screwing me over on a claim. On the down side, office in Hobart (!! of all places..)(sorry all you Tas-wegians). ps I am in brisvegas, nearly 30 :-(, rating one, they do have an office in Brisbane but they are commercial only.
  21. Royal Purple. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive, bit hard to find, worth the effort.
