  1. Go the Mazda 6. I belted one around for a day and was rather impressed. For the money, it's size, quality and drivabilty are pretty hard to beat. There are three trim levels and IMO the middle one is the go, however, it might be a squeeze getting that one in under thirty g.
  2. Bad news there.... You were the one down at the Redlands PCYC right? Well, here's one more for you, we share the same last name...(twilight music) Are you going to dismantle your wreck? It seems that all the wrecks are down south and they never seem interested in sending parts up here.
  3. You have a new PM from me dude.
  4. I actually covered my discs with newspaper while I doing the wheel arch. This sort of protects the pads. LOL...rad! Thats a narly word dude!!
  5. Another option is to mask over the 'Nissan', paint and then peel. This was slow (to trim the mask) but came up a million bucks - and maintains that ripple effect on the 'Nissan'.
  6. Bingo!! :uh-huh:
  7. A detailer would say that... I have an unsubstantiated theory that the 'Super Fine Hard' or whatever it was, finish on the Skylines can actually make problems for people like me (and maybe you) who are pretty picky about the finish on their cars. I also believe that mine has copped some fine damage from pollution in Japan. Give BCM on the magic mile a call, they might be able to sort something out for you (ask for Scott).
  8. I have a four door. My mate has a four door. I thought all speedskyzers had silver headlights, then one day I realised that silver was the exception.... Its from a four door.
  9. Shotgun on the center console bin lid, single DIN dash pocket (from below the stereo if you have one) and the glove box. I am in Brisbane but will make it worthwhile for you! PM me if you have any/all these bits so we can talk the sphincter of the universe.

    R35

This months 'Wheels' magazine has yet another rendering of the 35 GTR. IMHO it is one of the better ones.
  11. This thread might be useful.
  12. Removing the headlights and removing/opening the headlight casing are two different things. There are a number of recent threads that cover opening the headlights up, do search for 'headlights' or 'cleaning headlights'. In short, I do not think there would be too many people who would recommend opening them up....
  13. Dude are you actually in Japan? You want to flog me some interior parts?? PM me if you would like to take my money...
  14. Any of you ever around that 'fast and furious/fist audio' or whatever it is place at Tingalpa? I often use the BP next to it and there is usually some nice looking skylines parked outside.
  15. Possibly just water in the plugs. It should go away, if you are too lazy get them out.
  16. jetgts, Did you get my PM re: console? If it is a go, you will need to send me your transfer details so I can make the deposit immediately. Cheers, t.
  17. Sounds great! Dates, times?
  18. As for the question of a 'less aggressive' front bar, you are prolly looking at a series one bar. The series two front bar was much less docile in comparsion - it had more square/aggressive little air dam things and was less 'rounded' generally.
  19. It senses the the sunload... It is used for the climate control and I think it only effects the fan speed - not the temperature (could be wrong on that). It is a simple a light sensor with a preset threshold to determine if the car is in 'hot' sun. Never replaced one, but it is prolly not much fun because I would not be surprised if you have get at it from under the dash.
  20. In My Humble Opinion
  21. think it is just relay....
  22. I believe that Meguiars is worth the money you pay. It can be a bit of an outlay intially but I find that you will get a fair bit out of each bottle. I use their wash gel, fine cut cleaner, glaze, canuba (spelling?!) wax, plastic and vinyl conditioner (inside) and the long lasting tyre stuff. Obviously the cut and polish stuff lasts longer because I dont use it all the time but its prolly good for about 6 jobs. The tyre stuff has gone longer than the suggested number of uses on the bottle and the plastic cleaner is waayyy better than Armoural IMHO.
  23. In the top slot there is maybe 40mm (directly backwards) before you hit the HAVAC inards. There is prolly a little more in the lower slot. Thats a guesstimate tho.... What do you want to shove in there?
  24. Not sure, mine came with a variety of bonnets included.
  25. For those of us not fortunate enough to have an official Nissan CD but who would still like to see it, go here. Dude, Prague is not in France...
