  1. Spotted a silver 33 on the side of the road at Heatherbrae earlier today, any of you guys? Don't really know any local SAU'ers but there are a few tidy examples getting around up here I guess driving a 6.9M van doesn't really help when spotting someone as i look like a retard waving
  2. Good point TiTan, i am hoping my combo comes onto boost pretty quickly but wont know until it hits the rollers i guess... Impressive build BTW!! The 34 was really not that impressive at 255rwkw as mentioned above, with a high flow turbo i expected a responsive punch but it really didn't give one, this may have come down to the tune but it sure wasn't a weapon in any way!

  4. How did you go on the last car with the turbo being so close to the paint? Did it melt anything? I know you had the metal heat shield fitted but did you have any issues? Mine looks to be closer to the tower so i am a little concerned.... I got a blanket/beanie or whatever you call it but not sure how long it will last!
  5. Good stuff man! I was sure my Snap On electrical plier thingos had some crimping sections on it, may be a different thing though...Been a while since ive used them... Ahhh good old Santa!! Keep taking pics of the DIY stuff, making for an interesting read mate
  6. When i am back on the road Dori ill get him to come out on a cruise and show you what i mean, its an animal... Ill see if i can get the vid from last Wednesday at WSID vs a GTR
  7. I was running 255rwkw and it was really dissapointing... Somehow i think the dyno figure was inflated... The new build will be inbetween the 300-350 mark and should be fun, however with traction issues i assume it wont pin you back as much in lower gears... As for EVO's, a mates Evo that runs 305awkw pins you to the seat like nothing i have been in before and is used for circuit mainly with occasional street use, it pulls like crazy!
  8. When you get a hold of the tool, post up a pic so we can see what it is just out of interest
  9. Dude look on Ebay motors, you can buy the whole kit brand new for $166USD + shipping, they are cheap az and i doubt any cheaper to buy one second hand and then you have the risk of it being dodgy...
  10. Hey Guys, I dont really want to sell this but i have to get my R34 running so need to make sacrifices, car has been off the road for 2 years so time to make it happen. My setup is awesome, it consists of - Logitec G27 wheel, shifter and pedals Table setup that works perfectly and looks the goods Bride Replica seat (Good for gaming only) GT5 game NFS Shift 2 game (Pre-order edition) Burnout Paradise I am looking for $550 which is a fair price considering what you get with the deal, was going to list on Ebay but i thought i would give fellow SAU'ers first dibs Ill get some photo's sorted so you can see it setup. Pick up only from 2324 unless other arrangements are made, not willing to seperate or ship as its all too hard. You can text me on 0434353292 (mat) or just shoot me a PM
  11. Man i really hope that's what it is!!! Will be a silly mistake if it was the reason!!!
  12. On an unrelated note Jez, what is the difference between the PS1000 and PS2000 based on a setup like Dori's and like mine? (Bit of a Noob question i know...)
  13. Yep i highly doubt my car will be ready by then but if you need help ill be in on that too
  14. Are these the style you got man? If so, pain in the ass to fit? I wish i had done them before Craved worked his magic and powdercoated the covers.... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/320871968688?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 If they are the right ones i should grab them and have them ready to go
  15. Sounds like another workshop to steer clear of.... Good tuners and good workshops are becoming a bit of a rarity these days.... I had a bad experience with a local workshop recently and will never take my car there, nor will i let my mates take their cars there again... Word of mouth goes a long way! On the flipside, word of mouth also goes a long way with GOOD tuners and workshops
  16. AND read the tuning guide to make sure you have all of the supporting mods before spending money on a turbo, the supporting mods can all be done without the turbo... Once again - Search. Read. Search. Read. Search. Read.
  17. If its an issue with the manifold i still have my stock one in the shed man, let me know how you go Or you can go high mount and be hektic like me
  18. After 5 years i have finally joined too Paperwork faxed and Direct Deposit sent... Looking forward to getting back into the Skyline game!!
  19. Sounds like the Diff pinion bearing or something.... Check the oil condition and level and if that doesn't help then I'd be seeing a diff place about it
  20. When you say - it gets good torque but then drops down and doesn't go any further than 180kph (6000rpm) at this time, its missing and running rich and there was black smoke everywhere. It makes it sound like a spark issue as if its blowing a lot of black smoke it sounds like it should have plenty of fuel? Do you run Splitfire coils or similar man?
  21. That's awesome news mate And as for the black obsession, you know what they say......... Once you go..
  22. So others are having similar issues? Or is it just a storage issue? I plan to go down that path very soon so just want to eliminate potential sh*tfights if possible....
  23. My intake pipes were done in wrinkle black and i'm not a fan! I think with all of your shiny bits you should stay on the same path
  24. We had an Epic fail last week on the dyno with an Evo consistently running 169-176AWKW..... Changed plugs, checked for leaks...Checked everything... Turned out is was simply bad E85... Replaced the tank of fuel and BAM 300+AWKW first run.... We laughed at the end of the day but were a bit annoyed that it was something easy... Fingers crossed its just clutch slip or something easy man
