I don't know how many cars are in it exactly (I'm still collecting them), but yeah, it's a preview of the full GT4 game. It's well worth it though. I've got my friend here holding of buying it until I tell him if you can modify the cars or not. You can't, so I guess GT4 Prologue is just like GT3 "Concept" (Tokyo 2001)...

All 4WD R34 25GTs came out with an RB25DE actually... The only R34 Turbo 4WD is of course the GT-R.

>jazza08: Looks like your confusing yourself there dude! Just relax, one question at a time, and "All will be rrrrrrrrrrrrrevealed"... (Thumbwars) Thanks Dave for that "Gem" about the Neo-6 power outputs... seriously, how many mouse clicks did it take to get some official figures? 4? 5?

Finally, the wait is over! Well, all I can say is: The driving physics are MUCH improved. Believe me, I didn't think GT3 could get much better, but Polyphony Digital have outdone themselves... albeit subtely. Theres a good selection of cars, the most suprising aspect I guess is the sheer number of Subarus included. I`ll repost a list of all the cars once I win 'em all... shouldn't take too long. The whole look of the game is sharp to say the least. You *know* you're playing the best car simulator out there with GT4 Prologue. I've only just started getting into it today, so I'll leave it for now... /Rezz

V8skylineMan is in line for the goodies already! Can anybody compete at his level???
-
Oh yeah... it`s a real car alright. What a beauty :headspin: *I'll re-post details of this car on the weekend sometime...
-
These aren't them exactly, but they're Volk Racing Group C's (either "Monster" or "Europe" versions - my money's on "Europe") **By the way, these babies were introduced way back in '93!
-
Thats right Sumo, an RB20DE was present in one of the R34 models... and if that doesn`t scare you, there was an RB20E (thats right a single cam!) in the lowest spec R33.

Way to go Shane... some very nice pics there!

Cool, I know you lads can make it earlier than that, you being so near by, but I`m coming by Shikansen so 10am is pushing it... (for the wife that is!)

Sentric, just be at JR Kaihin Makuhari station at 10 o'clock on Saturday the 10th of January... *south exit* if I remember correctly? PM if you have any stuff you want to sort out later.

Rezz`s Forum? Nooooooooo, please please post up more threads people! Baka: Stupid, silly, foolish. Kurutteiru: crazy. (this is very direct in meaning) About what you said about 'same as calling a negro a African American', that aaaaaalmost sums it up in todays language. For example, two foreigners will use Gaijin in passing conversation such as: "Hey mate, did you go to that new Gaijin bar in Shinsaibashi?", but on the other hand, if a foreigner approaches a Japanese girl and it's obvious he's just out for a screw, she maight say "Leave me alone, Gaijin!"... where the emphasis is on "Gaijin", being so that the word is used in a derogitory way to cause ill feeling, kind of like "African American"... My 2c... what do you say Demon Dave?

I *had* a car... a 1988 Mitsubishi Pajero Exceed 2.5DT to be exact... not much of a drifter! I sent it to Australia 3 weeks ago. Actually, I buy up cars here and drive them around a bit then send them to my brother in Australia, he then sells them. Very low volume stuff, maybe 1 every two months. Next car on the list is an AE86 Trueno GT-Apex, although this one we might buy unregistered to save a bit of money.

No probs guys, I'll see what I can do on the weekend...

The V-spec version of the R33 GT-R was used as a base for the 400R, to produce a road-going version of the LM and GT racecars of the day. Most parts have been upgraded, but it`s probably more interesting to look at what hasn`t been upgraded, namely the Brake calipers/disks, the gearbox and the Camshafts/valves. The standard 5MT gearbox is suited well enough to the increased horsepower, as are the Brembo brakes, which only neccessitated a brake pad upgrade. The primary goal of the RB-X GT2 engine design was the increased torque whih came about with the 2.8L capacity increase. 47.8kg/m@4400rpm neccessitates the Twin-plate heavy duty chro-moly clutch upgrade, aswell as the Carbon driveshaft. All these additions serve not to break away from the base GT-R design, but to enhance the base GT-R V-Spec model one rank up in the GT Street class. The retail price of the Nismo 400R in 1996 was 12,000,000 yen. /Rezz

It depends on who you ask really. For example, if you ask a "Luis Vuitton" girl about anime, they get all squirmish and act like it`s the most uncool thing on the planet. Yet just about *anyone* on the peak hour express train will have some kind of manga with them to read... salarymen, teens, convenience store workers... you name it. On the whole, I think it`s neither childish nor mature, it covers all genres so it`ll appeal to SOMEBODY...

Kono foramu ni youkoso! Welcome guys to the Japan forum. I hope you`ll find what your looking for here, as there are plenty of members who are either living in Japan right now (Demon Dave, DaiOni, Evo_Lee, Streeter, akeenan, DCD, yukz2daizzo, and myself) or have been to Japan before. *This thread in paticular can be used for any feedback that people have about the Japan forum... don`t hold back. So I invite everybody to have a part in making this THE Skyline enthusiasts one-stop forum for anything and everything about Japan... especially the cars! Regards, Rezz
