  1. I've got a (by popular opinion) 'man-like' Japanese model standing up against a Skyline GTS-t if that'll suffice?
  2. Alright, having seen the Speedweek Autobarn Drift Battle (thanks Gojira!) all I can say is: well done! Good effort from everybody. Yep, of course the sponsored competitors could go much harder, but overall I think it was a good show and nothing to be ashamed of. But yeah, I do think the competitors should go alot harder and faster. I know they're amatures, but they've got sponsorship, so why does it look like they're 'babying' their cars? Btw, about the ute... drift in AU needs an 'enemy' so to speak in order to continue raising the bar... I think we've found it.
  3. Oh yeah, you can definately find older cars/parts like the ST185 and older, but it's more a matter of what and when...
  4. If most people hate the ute, why don't you just ignore it??? If you ignore it enough it'll go away and evolve into a 0-400m drag car... And why *e-v-e-r-y t-i-m-e* does Japanese motorsport (whatever it is) have to be compared to bloody Holdens and Fords??!!?? Stop it already! It just goes to show how infantile the 'Import' motorsport scene is in AU. Why compare apples to oranges? If a bloody ute thinks it can drift as well as any Japanese car, well... then so be it. But you don't have to get all insecure and 'omg... the Holden boys are onto us', just ignore it and keep doing what you're doing!

  7. Google > Japan Rail Pass > Map *I'd like to thank my pet monkey 'Pan-kun' for helping me out with Google.
  8. Actually, Daie Motors (hehehe sounds like supermarket 'Daiei') is out Kyoto way... never heard of them before, but they seem reputable enough, with some good quality cars too.
  9. No... I seem to be unaffected by hay fever... but famous last words hey? Alot of my students have come down with hay fever but they just grin and bear it - real Japanese style - and keep on going to work regardless. Not that it's highly contagious, but damn... I'd be taking at least a couple days off for sure if I had it.

    Whats new guys?

Hey I just had the flu for the last 2 weeks... damn near killed me. hence I haven't been so active around here. So whats new in your part of Japan? Here in Osaka we had *heaps* of snowfall on Sunday... kinda wierd because the temp didn't allow for the snow to collect on the ground, it just melted within seconds. The snow flakes were about 2 inches in diameter some of them. A pic: Before any of you Canadians say "Haha that isn't heaps of snowfall!", it is for Osaka I can tell you.
  13. No R34 GT-T either... what a wierd exclusion hey? Still I can't complain... 1989 R32 GTS-t Type M is there in wine red!
  14. Not very important stuff IMO but it may be of some value... The top one has things like: 15) Rear wiper + UV cut glass, Xenon hedlamps 16) Rear center belt for 3 (occupants?) + glove box light + remote control 18) side airbag The second one: 15) privacy glass + rear spoiler for 4-door 16) .... entry + trunk lid trim 18) side air bag

  17. Takahata... up towards Sendai... thats a long, long way away from me sorry. Yeah, usually with school trips they go to the country areas don't they? Anyway man, I don't think there are any members on here out that way.
  18. You're about 1 year and 9 months too late...
  19. Haha... I can see where this is going... hypertekspeed vs 7tune.
  20. Well, as long as Ghosns at the helm, anythings possible.
  21. No one has said for sure it will be called 'V35 GT-R' or even 'V36 GT-R'... or something else entirely. I know since 2003 I've been saying 'V35 GT-R', but as we get closer to the launch date it's becoming more clear. I think if you scan all the info on these forums it pretty much sums up the situation: it is almost 100% certain that the next GT-R *won't* be called 'R35', also too, the development of the next GT-R is starting to take on a whole different model approach (hence what I wrote above)... yes thats right, the next GT-R seems to be shaping up as it's own marque, the fact that Nissan have used V35 running gear for all it's test mules is misleading, I think the Next GT-R will have too many parts to differentiate itself from the rest of the Skyline lineup to warrant a *completely different* chassis code. But I mean really, who cares about the chassis code? There was a time when EVERYBODY was saying 'R35 GT-R' and they just assumed that the GT-R lineage would just seamlessly continue from R34 to R35... this I think is wrong. From what I know now, the next GT-R will be a different model, able to transcend traditional maker stereotypes eg: no longer 'Nissan Skyline GT-R'. The fact that Infiniti will sell this car too means that the GT-R will forgo it's Skyline connections, although retaining styling cues and marketing strategies so as not to scare off the current GT-R owner. It's a bit complex, and I just want to reiterate that Carlos Ghosn still has the ability to change the direction of the next GT-R depending how well the 2005 GT-R concept is recieved at the end of the year. I don't want to give away any more than that.
  22. Oh boy... I really can't be arsed replying to this.Closed.
