  1. There is a semi common fault in the radio/climate control unit that will cause the A/C to be stuck. I cant remember the details sorry but have read about it a few times. Basically need a new unit.
  2. I see. Maybe I should see about getting my hands on one too then.
  3. My question is why do you want it?
  4. Mine is done. Thank you Rianto, Andy, and of course the random KGB bloke in russia.
  5. My intake (fujita F5) makes a way louder noise than my fujitsubo legalis R exhaust does. But thats on full throttle only of course. I got told by a few people that the car sounded very horn at PI going past the spectator stand at 200 km/ph Anyhoo. If you really want a fujitsubo exhaust, i got mine from RMS motorparts. It should run you about $1600 - $1700 with a 2 or 3 week wait.
  6. spotted mrfoxy 7pm last night on that street outside the zoo
  7. I can reach it with the belt on so all good. Scrutineers didnt say anything.
  8. So I had some spare time to kill this morning. Decided to toy with the extinguisher mount in hope of ending up with something a little more sturdy and better looking. This is where I ended up. Despite being attached to only one mounting point, it is very solid. I couldnt find anywhere in the CAMS manual that said it has to be attached to at least 2 points, so hopefully the scrutineers don't give me any grief tomorrow
  9. Thanks Scathing. I was going to do something very similar but the dimensions of the floor around the seat rails didnt allow for it.. at least not easily anyway. My installation is far from ideal, but it works, and im in a hurry. It has to be removed post track day as its definitely in the way of rear passenger comfort.
  10. To answer my own question. I ended up mounting it behind the passenger seat. There are some bolts under the back seat that can be used as mounting points.
  11. Cheers. The infamous Chris Rogers supplied and fitted the shark fin antenna as part of the TV tuner install. Reception is pretty good in most areas but still not perfect (obviously). I would have liked it if the fin was a little shorter or less pointy. Finding a suitable replacement is high on my list of things to do in 2010. And yep... phillip island on sunday. First time actually.
  12. You can drop a V35 to a reasonable looking height without it being too much trouble. The wheels are located fairly close to the front and back of the car, e.g. there is not much overhang to hit on driveways. Most of the stuff underneath the car is tucked up pretty well so speedhumps dont bother me either.
  13. Attacked a set of stock wheels with a few cans of spray paint. Thought I would throw up a pic in case anyone wanted to see what black stockers look like on a white v35.
  14. Thats correct. It was unplugged for about 30 minutes, maybe a bit longer.. Was getting too late in the afternoon and the motor was still hot so i plugged it back in to move the car.. and it kept stalling on start up unless i blipped the throttle. I did the plenum install the next morning. The car starts normallly when cold and drives perfectly fine all the time. Its just hot starts that are giving me trouble.
  15. Anyone? Will definitely be interested in trades for small automatic daily driver for the mrs.. or a track hack (s13?) for me.
  16. Thanks guys. I will see how it goes over the next couple of weeks then. Rianto, Saturday is doubtful for me at this stage as I have a date with a dyno. If anything I will make it to the car wash very briefly - it is filthy as hell afterall. Anyway. The problem occurred after 30 minutes of having the battery disconnected. I was waiting for the motor to cool down before attempting to install my plenum spacer, but got impatient and decided it would be best to tackle it the next day. Hooked up the battery again and it wouldnt start properly. On that note, I've since installed the spacer (motordyne iso thermal kit) and my review is that yes there appears to be a very slight increase in power. I got the kit with the additional gasket (b/w lower plenum and heads) and the coolant bypass valve - both of which seem to be working as the plenum is much cooler to touch after going for a spirited drive. Worth the money? provided you dont pay for installation - definitely. Cracked open the plenum, wasnt too surprised to see 70,000 kms worth of caked on oil and carbon. Carby cleaner FTW
  17. Folks. I unplugged my battery while working on the car, and now it does not start properly when the motor is warm. I have to blip the throttle otherwise it stalls. Otherwise the car is fine, running better than ever. I tried the ECU rest, idle resets, etc, but its hard to tell if i was successful. Any ideas on solutions? Or is it just a matter of time while the ECU relearns? Cheers
  18. I doubt it. It doesnt go through your fuel system. You spray the stuff into your intake plenum.
  19. That subaru stuff is basically the same as what the yanks call "sea foam". Do some googling it could be interesting. FYI i tried it on a 350,000+ KM honda civic (original motor) and it made a noticable difference. Better idle and seemed to accellerate with more smoothness, perhaps even gained a little power down low. Also tried it on a 60,000 KM 2JZGTE and it was a waste of time.
  20. For sale: HONDA CBR250RR Price: I'm after $3,000 firm Location: Sunshine, Melbourne. Rego: April 2010 RWC: No KMs: 48,000 Reason for sale: Very little usage (about 100kms in the past 6 months) Other details: - Tinted screen - Immitation carbon fibre mirrors - Runs fine, but does take a couple goes to get started on very cold mornings.. normal for these bikes - A few stickers have been removed. they were under the clear coat, leaving the paint exposed in these areas. refer pictures (either side of the headlights). A fussy buyer would reapply clear coat to these sections but i personally never bothered - There are a few scratches here and there - Needs a new rubber grommit thing that holds the rear left indicator onto the bike (probably a $10 part)... its currently held on with some wire I will throw in a cover and a rear stand. I believe these are still legal for learners (just barely?).. 19,000 rpm redline is fun. Any questions let me know, but im a bit of a noob when it comes to bikes. Will entertain offers, including trades for anything really.. plus/minus cash adjustments are fine. http://users.tpg.com.au/xscape23//bike1.jpg http://users.tpg.com.au/xscape23//bike2.jpg http://users.tpg.com.au/xscape23//bike3.jpg http://users.tpg.com.au/xscape23//bike4.jpg http://users.tpg.com.au/xscape23//bike5.jpg http://users.tpg.com.au/xscape23//bike6.jpg http://users.tpg.com.au/xscape23//bike7.jpg http://users.tpg.com.au/xscape23//bike8.jpg

  22. Yep.. but last time i checked, you're not allowed to pick up any deliveries from the port. You will need to use a customs agent.
  23. Hey mate, Just so you dont forget, anything over $1000 is going to attract customs duties. You will also need to pay a customs broker to handle it for you.
