  2. Yeah, I thought I heard so too. But the media are never wrong are they?
  3. I think someone already mentioned it, but ... Those twat cyclists who hog lanes. I was driving down West Tce this morning and there was a cyclist riding in the middle of the lane. I passed in another lane and stopped ahead at a set of lights, front of the lane. The cyclist squeezes past me and the gutter and positions himself right in front of my car. I give him a quick toot, and up comes 'the bird' without even looking over his shoulder. Lights change and he intentionally takes up as much of the lane as he can. I pass in a gap in the next lane over and make sure the bov hisses at him for his rudeness. Now I'm at the next set of lights behind a wagon, waiting to turn left. He tries squeezing past again, but I hug the kerb a bit more. Now I hear him going of his head about "f**king car drivers" ... take a look at yourself buddy. Lights change and I'm about to turn the corner and he puts himself in front of my car. f**king loony gambling with tonnes of motor vehicle. Completed the turn and continued to work. Someone else can clean him up ... only a matter of time.

  5. WILL NOT SWAP FOR ANOTHER BIKE I want this one sold ... not looking at getting another bike, so please don't ask. And this bike is not LAMS approved for learners.
  6. Too many people taking things personally. Fact: young drivers do not have the skills or experience for fast cars, or any car for that matter. So you are less likely to get into trouble with an under-powered car. You all know this. Hell, I grew up around racers and in a drag racing/speedway/rallying family. I had alot of temptation there. I got given good advice and take to private properties and "shown a few things", but I never thought I was able to handle some of the cars/bikes I drove back then. I learnt skill and safety ... skill and safety. Not power and speed. I've sinced circuit raced and drag raced. I've done some ridiculous speeds and had some spectacular crashes. I'm forever reminded how dangerous modern machines are. I can appreciate speed and power, but not without skill and experience. I had inherited my uncles drag/street car when I was 17, but I sold it to my step father and drove around in a tiny 2 door Honda Civic. Hell, I even stayed on a 250cc motorbike for 10 years before upgrading, even tho I was tracking faster machines. I just didn't want that temptation on the street. I just think today's young drivers are brought up in a misleading environment: You must have a big powerful car/bike or you have a small dick. Hollywood promoting you look cool in a fast car. You're spoon fed bullshit and you believe it, because you want to be cool. You want to outdo your mates ride and so on and so on. Then the authorities take action to reduce deaths as a result of current trends and young drivers suddenly get antsy? Wake up! Like crying babies when their lolly is taken away. If you're crying and bitching over this, then you're not ready for other things life has to offer. Sure cars are safer today, but drivers are taking bigger risks and higher speeds to compensate for that safety, therefore still killing themselves and passengers. The only solution: less speed and less power ... take away the temptation to drive a fast car by limiting the cars they can drive. Simple. I have two mortgages ... can I bitch twice as much?
  7. Unfortunately, teen suicide is hard to monitor and hard to diagnose. You don't see it coming. Plus the deaths are almost always limited to themselves only. Teens hooning around in a car full of friends on the other hand ...
  8. Its not a blown head. It has no signs of a blown head, and I've dealt with a few of those. The RB engine is a far cry from a datto 1200
  9. I'll see if Tracy wants to keep Ness company while the boys play with their toys Should be around about 6.00pm.
  10. Agreed. I fully support the idea. Its been tested and proven with motorcycles under the LAMS program. Cars should be power-to-weight rated for L and P platers and powerful cars not allowed for these inexperienced drivers. Take the temptation away. Just as many young drivers still dying in other states with the same rule ... I doubt it. Sorry, I disagree Craig. The onus is not on the authorities to give you somewhere to train/misbehave with a powerful car. Having a license is a privilege, not a right after all. In any case, there is Mallala. There are defensive courses out there, but they're not cheap and not many people do them. Hell, most drivers whinge about a track day being expensive. Drivers would rather not spend the money, then whinge about having no proper training. We have a society of impatient people nowdays. Cronic, I hear what you're saying. However, despite the media exaggeration of the matter, police are only acting upon recent trends. And unfortunately, it appears the new trend is death by fast car. I have more than too often sat on the side of the road at a crash scene, trying to keep someone alive after a horrific accident. Now these police have to deal with that more than they should, so I can understand them wanting to put and end to bad smashes and having to relay bad news to families.
  11. Still no luck yet Damo. I take it you got the car home safe then I didn't have my tool kit with me when I caught Damo on the side of the road. I suspected either timing belt gone, or the turbine wheel blew and jammed up the compressor wheel. Engine turns over as normal, no slapping, no 'ting-ting', it just won't fire. All looks normal, no visible signs of any problem. Damo, I was just about to SMS you. I can shoot over after work tomorrow and we'll start by pulling off the timing cover. If thats all good, then we'll go to the turbo next. Pull off the intake first and see whats going on in there Don't pay for a mobile mech to come out just yet, its free for me to come around and quickly eyeball it with you when I have my tools this time. We might as well rule out a few things and check items like intercooler piping etc for the hell of it.
  12. Born in the year of the rat. One white one black = yin yang to me You just need to squint harder
  13. If Matt at Tattoo You Emporium can fit me in, I get this additional work done on the weekend ... subject to free hand and some possible alterations. The tattoo represents the broken shoulder I suffered earlier this year. The pattern just under the elbow will follow the same "bandage" pattern the existing tatt has for fill. The rest of the new ink work will be solid black and represent the "breaks" I obtained in my bike crash resulting in a broken shoulder. Drawing up what to add on to right arm/shoulder later this weekend.
  14. As you do.
  15. Imagine claiming expenses like whips, candle wax, D cell batteries, pregnancy tests, VD tests
  16. Whats even more funny is the prostitute's boyfriend was in the next room Why would you date a prostitute, and if you did, why would you tag along with her to work?
  17. I thought this was a defect thread, not a compliancing thread
  18. There is always Daniel Stone Spray Painting down at Hackham. He's done work to my Stageas and he does an excellent job for a good price. Runs from a small workshop. Long time riding buddy of mine and a great bloke.
  19. Yes, well unfortunately Damo the thread dissolved into what people are "going to get". I've got plenty of tatts to prove I'm not just all talk. There is more ink work to come. Here's the other arm:
  20. Here's my tribal stuff:
  21. Another tatt I do want is this Currently working on blending it in with some tribal work.
  22. Spotted a silver stagea this morning on Port Road, female driver ... gave a delayed wave!
  23. If you've still got it at that age, flaunt it!
  24. Hmm, 8.5km from the CBD? Altough I would kill for a large block for some dirt biking ... I love being so close to the city.
