  1. Motorbikes FTW!!! Me and my mates got pulled over last night by the boys in blue. One cop starts looking over my bike, commenting how he wants to get his bike licence and all. Has a look over it, comments there is no rego label displayed. I tell him honestly I got the bike regoed a month ago, but I've been slack getting a label case to attach to the bike, but the label is under the seat. He has a bit more of a look and lets me go I seriously thought I was going to get done for: no chain guard, rear tyre down to wear indicators, excessive noise (no baffles fitted), and probably whatever else they wanted to go to town on. Well time to get off my ass and get those baffles in, rego label case, and new hoops!
  2. I'd really love to take until the 11th off ... but I know there are going to be issues with the new server install and other IT stuff ... even if I take the time off, my phone will just summon me in anyway when the shit hits the fan ... which it will. Might as well save my leave for when I really need it.
  3. Officially, I'm off 23rd Dec to 4th January ... can have up to 11th Jan off if things are slow ... Yeah right!!! Got MYOB software to link with new billing software system; server upgrade and install of SBS 2008 on all office desktops; archiving of client records ... I don't think I'll be having holidays much! In between the time I do have free ... I have to finish the Stagea manual swap, house plans to re-lodge with Council, house extension work.
  4. Correct. I'm selling a worked tiptronic box. I have no idea what is involved with fitting it to a series 1.
  5. Happy Birthday Mitch! Be good ... or be good at it!
  6. Different to the look he gave Kirshy
  7. For blokes our age, that bit of heaven will get us in jail
  8. You've got NS.com for that Here at SAU we just point and giggle a bit
  9. Oh, but you will Once you taste RB, there's no going back!
  10. I have a pull type clutch ready to go into my Stagea (manual conversion). Can anyone clear up for me how exactly the little lever inside the gearbox housing mates up with the carrier on the pull type pressure plate?
  11. Anyone available this Saturday to help with fitting the GTR manual box? Box is ready to go in ... and I can't wait!
  12. ^^^ Can anyone shed some light on this Q? Luke and I finally got that damned bearing out last night for the auto box and fitted the spigot bearing for the manual box. Nismo lightened flywheel and HD clutch kit ready to go on once I replace the crank seal. Anyone wanna help with putting the manual box in on Saturday morning?
  13. I don't mind watching the odd wheelie, my mates are generally a bunch of good blokes ... but team twat have no idea and are a big hazard on the road. Alot of them got themselves perished or busted up some years ago running from the cops. 3 of them died in the span of 2 weeks doing stupid things. And no I've never associated with any of them. A handful of them tried riding with us, but we showed them the door. No one is a saint. I've NEVER even received a parking ticket on my bikes, but that doesn't mean I don't misbehave. I pick where and when to stretch my legs and its well within my limits and the environment around me. I have Mallala should I chose the need for speed. 20 years and zero traffic violations on my bike, I'd like to think I've been picking them well. One thing I do ensure, is that I am wearing full protective gear where and when I can. Unlike the twats who think a hoodie and fashion jeans will save your neck!
  14. Yes ... well you women will pick the pretty one over the functional one any day Hey Jess, I'll be hitting up Sydney in either Feb or March next year for a 2 day training course. Any events coming up I might be able to coincide my trip with? Keeping in mind I'm at PI for the WSBK end February.
  15. Looks like the RF1000 or the TC5. They're basically the same helmet. I'll get a price on the visor for you FYI the better helmets are Shark. I have the top line RSR2 brain bucket. Greater peripheral view, and reduced wind noise ... and they fit more snug on ya noggin! Have also saved my neck more than once!
  16. Give me the model number of the 'brain bucket' and I'll get a price for you. There are 3 shops I know of, and I get discounts. You want regular or tint?
  17. Jess is only jealous because she wants a hot motor in her lap in bed There I said it, what you going to do about it
  18. Don't know how well you know the guys at "team twat", but they're a bunch of squids. Its these guys we've told to f**k off. No skill, no brains, no respect.
  19. <--- Yay!!!
  20. When I'm riding with my biker mates, if some newbie rider or other idiot does the wrong thing, they're told there and then to f**k off and don't come back. In my 9 years or so riding with the same guys, and various guys coming and going from the group, we stand by this rule and no one has brought the wrong attention (sapol etc) down upon us for no reason. I've done it myself where I've removed the keys from the ignition of a rider, told him to f**k off and don't come back. Especially when we found out he had no licence, no rego, and no insurance. We don't need that kind of label. I've certainly ridden with other groups, and found them to be a pack of hoons and cowboys, who inevitably get screwed over by the cops, and rightly so. I avoid these fools. And the same holds true for car groups. Perhaps a stricter stance should be taken in the import car enthusiast scene. Speak up there and then ... not on the forum when its too late. Its certainly worked for us bikers. I've certainly had words with a stag owner on one of my cruises from last year.
  21. Do it! Idiots like that do because they think as long as no cop sees them doing it, they'll get away with it. Now if they had "real car enthusiasts" busting them to the cops, that'd really keep them on their toes (we'd hope) and reduce this kind of behaviour. Even better, they'll avoid cruises like this and leave it to the enthusiasts. Its why I attend mostly meets than cruises. If I see the slightest hoon attitude, I bail and go home and avoid the cruise. Car has no defect and I have a beer in my hand watching telly.
  22. At least I can't be defected for blue mesh or fitment
  23. Think I'll get a sticker made up for the back of the Stag: "I'm not with NS.com"
